This past Saturday we played live at the KEXP studios in Seattle. It was my first time in the new station. Nice, a far cry from the KCMU facilities which were antique by today's standards.
The staff was super cool and helpful. Got a great recording from James the engineer.
As part of the Sub Pop 20th anniversary celebration, we were invited on the air by Jon Poneman, who hosted with Abe Beeson.
We had a great time, and except for my guitar pedal having a loose jack the performance went great. The interview with Jonathan was a kick in the pants. I've known him since he used to book shows around town and DJ on KCMU.
I hadn't seen him personally for over ten years.
Jon played bass in one of the many jam sessions, that would lead to the formation of LB. On drums at the time was Scott Vanderpool, former Room Nine and current Down With People member.
If you'd like to hear it (songs and interview), go to KEXP.org and check out the streaming archives, for 8:00 PM June 28th.
Jon - Sub Pop are planning to re-release Between the Eyes and Dayglo sometime in the future. It makes me very happy.
