I was born in Evanston, Illinois (northern suburb of Chicago) in December of 1982. My first taste of music came shortly after relocating to Kansas City at the age of 5 with some piano lessons. The piano lessons led to guitar lessons which I've studied on and off since the 6th grade. I picked up the alto saxophone in 7th grade and began studying jazz and classical sax with a few different instructors in the Kansas City area. During the course of high school I became proficient in the baritone, tenor, alto and soprano saxophones, as well as the flute and clarinet. To further my education in music, I attended Indiana University as a jazz studies major for saxophone performance on tenor. At IU I had the opportunity to study with jazz legend David Baker, took weekly private lessons with renowned saxophonist and instructor Dr. Thomas Walsh, and gigged regionally with different groups. Academic life at Indiana University took a backseat for work in Orlando with The Leonard Brothers band, http://www.leonardbrothers.com in 2004. My role as a multi-instrumentalist in the Leonard Brothers band was a great experience for me. We took our college rock cover band to a new level when we opened for Lynyrd Skynyrd, CCR, and maintained a house gig at Las Vegas' Excalibur in the fall of 2006. In Orlando I split time between the Rock 'N Roll Beach Club in Pleasure Island and Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville in Universal Studios. I've performed in select clubs and bars in Orlando, countless corporate events and many area colleges and universities. In January of 2007 I relocated to the greener pastures in Austin, TX. Austin is the most unbelievable city I've ever lived in and the music scene is intense. I've got a great mix of projects that I'm involved with down here... just take a look at my schedule. cheers.
