Starting Jan 2010 Detroit Live will discontinue our promotional rates and begin using rates that are more competitive. Over the last year DL Mag has offered incredibly low rates to make advertising and promotions easier for business and bands who are experiencing financial difficulties. For the last 15 months we have offered rates that are 10-15% of our major competitors. (See insert below). Starting Jan 1st we will adhere to a more competitive rate schedule. Congrats to all bands and businesses who utilized these low rates. We will continue to offer them to all CURRENT advertisers who continue to use Detroit Live Magazine to get publicity. Any advertisers who would like to lock in 2010 advertising at 2009 rates must contact Darian Counts at 734-775-9991 or e-mail at detroitlivemagzine@yaho.com by TUES DEC.29thWe are looking forward to an incredibly prosperous 2010 and are excited to help local businesses and bands continue to get publicity and increase their customer base..

Here is how voting will work.
celeb judges will vote on
Stage presence 1-5
Orig/Intensity 1-5
Door works as follows every person at the door counts as .10 points (ie
10 people =1point ) with a max of 50 people equaling 5 points.
Example:
Stage presence 5
Orig/Intesity 4
Door 35 people =3.5 points
5 + 4 + 3.5 = 12.5 divided by 3 = and average score of 4.1 that would be the score.
Just added....FYI any band who draws more than 30 people at the door will get a biz card ad in DL Mag promoting their Nov. shows. regardless of evenings results...
