You will have the opportunity to cordially invite the First Lady to join the fair trade movement and declare the White House a “Fair Trade Home” by adding your signature to the official invitation. You’ll also have the chance to win fair trade products by passing the "Fair Fun" on-camera quiz, with comedian-impressionist Phil Snyder.

Joining us on this night are two of The Rhythm Section’s favorite human beings (and DJs), JEREMY SOLE & GLENN RED of Afro Funké.

Fair Trade is a global movement that promotes decent wages to workers in developing nations in hopes of creating sustainability. A MEANINGFUL LIFE…AN INCREDIBLE STORY

What do you get when you mix an accidental death, a group of individuals who desire a meaningful life, and a business of fair-trade natural body-care products? An impactful narative--the story of Anti-Body.

When a tragic accident killed her fiance in 2004, Tamara Johnston-McMahon quit a dream job in the film industry to try to make sense of her new, unwanted life. Grief compelled her to seek meaning for her existence. With the help of her sister and brother-in-law, Shelby and Steven Moser, Tamara launched Anti-Body in 2005.

Frustrated with a sense of powerlessness to leave a positive imprint with their lives and work, they embarked on a mission to create a consumer product that would benefit both the customer and the individuals from developing countries who produce their ingredients.

After extensive research about the most natural and beneficial ingredients, they formulated a body-care line that would include fair trade certified ingredients. They pledged to create SLS and paraben free products as well as initiate long-term relationships with the laborers who supply their ingredients.

Through fair-trade, Anti-Body is able to directly fight poverty by providing fair wages to the co-operatives who manufacture some of the natural ingredients used in Anti-Body's products. With the company came a spiritual transformation in which Tamara found her life's calling.
