THE WAITING ROOM

I'm the patient
Waiting patiently
In the waiting room of my destiny.
I'm told I'm doing well,
They say I'll recover,
For me it's hard to tell.
I have exorcised the demons from my head
But my heart still hurts sitting in this chair.
Give it time; I might understand;
What do I have to prove
In the waiting room?

In the waiting room.
In the waiting room.

I could be here forever and a day
Everything could change, that's what you all say.
Marble-hearted, I think of my next cigarette
Instead of you
In the waiting room.

In the waiting room.
In the waiting room.

Time is precious,
I fight survival every day.
Then I find myself with nothing else to say.
Can't go that fast;
Can't go that slow;
Hurry up and wait now,

In the waiting room.
In the waiting room.
In the waiting room.

How long has it been since you last saw someones blog open like this:

It's been so long since my last blog..

Well I promised myself after a long while not blogging, that I wouldn't open like that, but I just have!

It's been a strange old time, what with tours not happening, the girlfriend returning from tour, and that not happening, then again happening, running around waiting and waiting for people to show any true measure of love or believe in any projects, or even worse a song with that ultimately not happening, yet...

Still you know what? I could not be more happy.

Guarro has had a few months off recuperating after finishing the EP 'Elvis Presley' only available on MySpace for now but we are proud of it, it's just tough here in the waiting room..

We have also been waiting on our new website, which is not here yet, but hey; we are.

Now I thought I'd try a little interactive art on my return.
Visit this web page: www.suitcaseexhibit.org/, whilst listening to 'Elvis Presley'.

Well night all, it's great to be back..

Love

NEW RECORDINGS, NEW MIXES, NO NEWS..

Hello to all guarro.net members, Guarro My Spacers, and readers of my little intermittent Blog.
I am back baby, after a while in the studio, whilst preparing for a US tour which sadly looks like is rapidly going away from me.

It was to be the centrepiece of Guarro's 2007 strategy 2 months on the road from San Francisco to New York spreading the filth as Geraint would put it on the BBC America Brit Bus, but alas all I can hear at the moment is the deafening sound of silence from across the pond.
Hey it's not the first time a singer/songwriter has had a tour fuck up on him, and I am sure it will not be the last, the shame is everything has been just a little bit PONY of late, like Steve Maclaren, too many drunken step fathers making promisses they cannot keep; but time now for a change, new songs, new sites and live sounds are on their way it's all the rage you know.

The new and improved guarro.net has been designed and is about to be plumbed into the world wide web very very soon, with pod casts of brand new songs, what else; yes a re-skinned blog and MySpace also, as well as LIVE DATES, once we have confirmation of the broken down or jump started bus.
There will be a Pygmalion as soon as anything becomes a reality.

Last but certainly not least if you visit myspace.com/guarro there are 4 brand new recordings of Sunshine, Vintage Love, La La La (Formerly Makin' Love) and Elvis Presley.
A wholesale new batch of recordings on this site, co-produced with Tom Leader who I have to say has mixed, mastered and produced a fucking belter , please feel free to add them to your My Space profiles, news of how you can buy the tunes will also be coming soon..
These songs are exclusively available only on My Space at this time.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all the string players from (London's Premier Orchestra who I cannot mention because I will get sued) who appeared on Elvis Presley, also to Gareth Davies for his outstanding arrangement of the song I THANK YOU.

Please grab the code from our MySpace to get yourself a PIG like the one below to pop onto any site, myspace or blog you happen to control, look out for the INDY Awards at the Clapham Grand on May 15th a very special event I think, and also stay tuned for your Pygmalion coming to your inbox soon (if you are a guarro.net member) because it is all change, ding ding any more fares please?

Thank you, Gracias, Muchos Mercis.

Joining Betamax on the scrap.

After 36 years and billions of sales, the floppy disk is to join the video player, cassette deck and film camera on technology's scrapheap.

The 9cm piece of plastic will no longer be available from Britain's biggest computer retailer.

PC World announced last night it would stop selling the disks when stocks ran out.

I stayed up so late tonight that I saw technology go out of date.

Marcos D'Cruze and Huw Davies 2007 US Tour planned

Back in the USA.

Hello all…

I know it's been a very long while since my last post at Crimble, but that's because:

A) Crimble is always a write off
Jan is about preparing the year, trying to mix our new record (When we can get in the studio)
Award nominations, getting pissed and warm up gigs are all a part of mapping out the year ahead with managers/producers/and tour managers and bar owners.

The Year Ahead

US Tour 2007

Well exciting news here on guarro.net, I know I am excited.

Huw Davies and myself Marcos D'Cruze are preparing for a 2-month tour of the US (subject to visas) from San Francisco to New York City.

This is a fantastic opportunity for all those guarro.net members and MySpace friends across the pond to catch the Guarro sound live for the very first time.
Also this is a smashing chance to share the music for the first time to a brand new crowd, on the road for a couple months, and on such a huge first tour.
It is not yet clear how much of the tour Huw will do but I will be strumming my way from all the way LA to NYC for sure, come and find me.

Details are becoming clearer by the day, so to be the first to know where and when you can catch us LIVE on our US tour then please join guarro.net and become our friend on MySpace.

I would also like to say a very big thank you to everyone buying up Plan-B from our online store, the local post office is out of CD envelopes because of you, and all those multiple downloads you've been making on guarro.net as well as iTunes here in the UK are proving to me that my original belief in this project is justified.

If you are a member why not jump on the Forum and say a few words, and also with Valentines Day approaching post a unique iloveyouthankyou.com the perfect way to tell someone you love them.

Well that is all for now, I will copy this to my Blog and hope to share more news soon. There have been a couple of private warm up gigs so far this year; I hope to announce some public ones soon.

And finally, any one wanting to book me for a House Concert, please use the form on guarro.net and do not email direct.

Cheers

Marcos D'Cruze

Dear all

It has been a very long while since I have had the opportunity to write a Blog.

Happy New Year to all my Guarroist friends and family, 07 looks as though it's already going to herald a very new dawn for the PIG.

There are big tours in the offing both US and Europe, hopefully a finished EP, Award nominations, Summer festival dates, a huge concert with my string playing friends (If either brother ever calls) and exciting writing projects being discussed all over the place.
All I need to do now is make sure I can still pay my rent to do these things.

This journey as many of you know is truly bloody difficult.
They call it paying your dues for what reason do you suppose? Who the fuck is Dues anyway? I bet he's loaded and how come we all have to pay him? And why do you struggle to respect the career that got away without that deposit.

I am in the process today of arranging visa details for this Americana adventure.
I am struggling to announce the details of this trip until I see my visa my contract and my plane ticket to San Francisco, so watch this space because it will be ......... there that I tell you.

I am writing this Blog in my emailer and am going to email it to my Blog as an experiment, readying myself for life on the road.
Technology seems to be taking another one of those mini jumps, with the Internet leaving the browser and going on to TVs and PDAs and Telephones.
All my MAC Jihadist friends are watching and in some cases re-watching Steve Jobs telephone people from a stage on their screens, and are all wobbly at the knees about his new iPhone, one mate of mine has been having regular dreams about it.

I can't really remember the last time I got that excited about an operating system, or a piece of technology that would cost me so much money, see I am really into getting stuff for a little as possible right now, this may be because I have only POSSIBLE in my pocket at the moment, but I think it's more than that.
Money is great for buying things though, spending it is fun, but earning it is my problem, dedicating time to money means not dedicating time to creating uncommissioned art.
I
t's tough here's a Due, creating Art full time with no one paying you for 3 years. I know I am doing it to myself I have not been forced, it's just my unconcious I cannot do anything else.

Now I saw that unsigned band Koopa on BBC News 24 yesterday looking a bit spellbound as they entered the UK top 40 at number 31 with their first single sold exclusively by text and download from their website.
Now while I was thrilled to see the possibilities I was destroyed by the PR spin that placed those poor fuckers there. They looked all over the shop in that studio around Huw's table, I am not a critic but I am a cynic, because again time wasted on self promotion takes away time from performing uncommissioned art, look this is not unsigned envy, this band saw an opportunity at took it GOOD LUCK to Koopa I wish them every success I really do, but it's that kind of example that gives unsigned a bad name, not everyone who is unsigned should be signed, there is a level it's rather like like seeing signed shite in the charts, what is the difference?

Unsigned, uncommissioned art, unloved, Universal records, I am Attila the Un, shit The UN..

Hey that was a bit ranty!!! Still it's been a while since I Blogged I just got into it I suppose, think it's cos I'm in my emailer just writing, feels more like I'm mailing a friend.

Well I'm off, going to the Barbers and then for a pint, tomorrow I am at the Brit Nominations, so as soon as I find some time I will type up another entry.

Again happy new year to you all.

This BLOG COMES DIRECT FROM THE FRONT PAGE OF GUARRO.NET

Marcos YULTIDE BLOGO!!!

FROM MYSPACE MESSAGES...

Hello
Hey there. I was asked to vote for Claire but I'm far too honest to just blindly vote so I checked out the competition. I just want to say the guitar playing is awesome! And although in general the drums and bass are simplistic it works brilliantly!
You are by far the best band I have come across this year and I hope you get a record contract really soon, so that your album becomes more easily available.
Keep doing what your doing!

Thanks for your originality!
G

Well what can I say, are Guarro's rythmn section simple? I am writing this whilst listening to a Bret Dennen tune on a T-Mobile commercial on MTV?

Above is a copy of a message froma friend on MySpace. I, we, us Guarro (THE PIG) are working hard enjoying and sharing our PIG, are you sharing yours???

I have written a lot of music for commercials and film in the past , but how cool to have a commercial written for your music!!! Bret Dennen seems to have found a wicked niche for himself, his tunes are a bit addictive.

I would like to thank everyone that has punched in guarro.net this year into their computer keyboard.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!
Your support of The Guarro, has been very inspiring and fulfilling, this edition of my Blog is being posted to the Bands website because I feel I can now justify after three years of living the life of a PIG, somehow without any delusion of grandeur, I can now post to my own bands website without feeling like a complete wanker, and I do not have to write in the third person...

So all I want to say now is a big thank you to all of Guarros friends, family (Uncle Marty), Tom Leader, Carlos Baltasar, Jeremy Glover and Chris Duffy, Doug Woodrow, Richard Segrue, Mark Mulrooney, Peter Jukes, Gareth Davies and all of his string playing friends, Maggie Rodford and all the team at the Air-Edel studios and in the office, all the venue Promoters, Producers, Fixers, Bookers and Con Artists who have given us a stage this year, I would also like to thank whole heartedly on behalf of Huw, Steve and Lee everyone who has turned out to see us live this year, we are really really grateful...

SO THANK YOU!!!

I feel like we have won an award already, see you on the other side...

Merry Christmas

Feliz Navidad

Band News

:: 09 Nov '06

Guarro LIVE @ The Acoustic Lounge, Clapham, London on the 14th of November 2006.

Howdy, it has been a little quiet of since the Last Gig Of Summertime which was a huge success, everyone really enjoyed the evening, both on and off stage,
All the players from an orchestra we cannot mention, now known as our very own Lost Souls Orchestra want to do it again...
So we shall bigger and better, although I must say Union Chapel and everyone from at the venue was fantastic.

So what else, well myself and Huw are playing the Acoustic Lounge in Clapham South London on Tues 14th of November, full listings and map below.

Many of you know I have been writing Blogs and creating web content and digital arts in order to perpetuate and share Guarro with the world for three years now, and one of those creations, possibly the one I am most proud of is iloveyouthankyou.com This project will be 1 year old in December. Now I personally post the submissions and messages to the site and some mornings my inbox leaves me speechless.

I have a plan a way I would dearly love every guarro.net member or visitor to this site for Christmas to post an ILYTY, and share the love. I Love You Thank You has had nearly 9000 visitors and 136 submissions so far, I would like to double it by Christmas and get offices and friends and families from all over the world submitting.

I will share this on my Blog, and the mailing list, so without further ado gig details:

Thanks for everything.
