Current mood:  annoyed

We went to Launceston last wednesday. It was very very cold. We soundchecked though and that helped warm us up a bit. Then we went back to Clinton and Aimee's and had burritos and watched A Current Affair. Then we went back to the Uni and had a couple of beers and rocked the place, simple as that. We tried out some brand new material that we've been working on. A song called Lonely Star. We were brave and it was pretty good. We even had a conga line of wicked Tongans doing head to toe push ups or at least that's the only way i can think to describe them. There was like 5 of them and they all had their feet on each others shoulders and they were doing pressups. I have provided a picture so you can get a mental image going. It was sent to us by a switched on, uber hip fan and it seems to be the only evidence we have of these wild, fun and entertaining acrobatics. We kinda wanna do a workout video with them or something

Anyway we had a fabulous time and got to hang out with The Divine Miss Tom Tom and whoever those other two sucks are that hang around her. And Vaughan taught us how to skateboard at the airport in the morning and that was cool.

In other news we have quite a few shows coming up so check the shows section and get with us somewhere! We'll be playing the Espy and Bendigo with the Negative Waves (sorry, the Bad Vibes), who i am playing drums for at the mo, and the Killer Birds and the Orphans. We'll also be playing sydney and wollongong with the disbelievers and the mess makers. And we have an All Ages show on the 18th with Magic Dirt and Midnight Woolf. We are also looking forward to a kick ass show at Ruby's in Belgrave with Bugdust and the Urviles. i better stop or i'll have no shows to plug next time.

We have been writing new songs. They are fun and exciting and we'll be playing some of them at our upcoming shows. My new fav. is called We Want an Army, because we do. We are sick of waiting for our second album to come out as well but i can't really say more then that publicly i'm afraid. Plus, i've done really well with out swearing this whole blog. Yay for me....

Current mood:  bitchy

this is a poem i wrote about our recent sojourn to tasmania. it's gorgeous. it goes like this.....

REFLECTIONS ON TASSIE

i went down to the astral plain

with my baby and my band

fun with all the freaks and spooks

in gooni goo goo land

i had some fun

i got the creeps

i had some drinks

i lost some sleep

i tipped a sip

and celebrated

all my loves that

couldn't make it

the stars were shining bright

and we couldn't sleep that night

and we sat on a 12 seater bus

with all that water surrounding us

and we caused quite a fuss

a slight movement in the force

when we got out of the bus

we drowned of course.

thankyou clinton, aimee, gus mustang and all the boys at the trout, we had a blast.

Hello all you adorable little teenyboppers out there..... We are playing Pushover on Saturday March 10th at the Docklands, Shed 4. The Fabulous Davey Lane will be joining us on guitar as Kat's arm is still recovering from her arm wrestle with Kamahl. He kicked her arse and no one could say she didn't have it coming....

In other news, we have decided on a title for our album and it's good. I haven't asked the others of I can tell you though so you're just gonna have to wait until we have full spazzy go ahead. Or you can start guessing now. Leave your suggestions in the comments section below. But we've already decided so don't try too hard. we'll keep you posted.

Hello to all our little minions out there in Spazzys cyber-space!

Its been a while since we've updated our myspace page, and we sincerely apologize. But we're getting off our asses babies! We've got a few new pics up for you, and we'll keep updating you with news and useless junk every week. We promise!

So... heres the lo-down...
We just got off the Big Day Out tour. It was a riot! I'm sure that those of you who attended would agree.
here's some photos from sydney:

Thats right kids! you eyes don't deceive you. Thooeys Extra Dry Made a limitted edition Spazzys Beer can especially for the Big Day Out. Drinking beer has never been so much fun!

One of the highlights of the Sydney show was singing with Kamahl! Thats right! Being an old friend of the ours, he called us the day before, insisting that he joins the Spazzys on stage for a sing along of "I Still Call Australia Home". Good times.
We're still trying to track down a photo to stick up here. You'll love it.

Also, please note, Kats healthy left arm shreading away. And in contrast, the picture below (possibly from a mobile phone camera) at the Adelaide Big Day Out.

Sorry about the quality there. But I'm sure you can still see that Kats not playing the guitar! She broke her arm in a shark attack on the day before the Adelaide Big Day Out.

Thanks to the help from brilliant Davey Lane (from 'the Pictures' and 'You Am I'), the Spazzys were able to finish the Adelaide and Perth shows without too much drama. Davey learned the guitar to the entire Spazzys set in about 8 hours (while Kat was dosed up on morphine at Adelaide hospital). and if you were there you witness it, I'm sure you'd agree that he kicked ass!

We also got to hang out with snakes after the show in Adelaide. That was a hoot!

We weren't able to play the Bon Scott benifit at the Cherry bar last week. And we apologize to anyone who turned up to see us. We'll make it up to you dawg!
We won't be playing for a few weeks while Kats fucken broken arm heals.

Once its all better, we'll finish some little bits and pieces on our new magnificent record and you'll surely be feasting your ears on it by mid 2007.

Ciao for now.
Love from the Spazzys.
