My debut album Along came the Devil one night... came out on Monday. It is 43 minutes long and 9 tracks wide.

Featuring artists including Jake Telford, Lorinc Barabas, Stac, Rob Hynd, Inga-Lill Aker, Claire Laurent, Jack Baker, Paul Hodson and Ben Thackray, it is in parts jazz, parts soul, parts folk.

You can check out clips here and on http://www.scrimshire.com.

Plus this week I'm giving away a track called Sinnerman. It may well have made the album if I hadn't sadly lost the some of the parts. I only have a 256k MP3 available but I'd like to share that with you.

Go check it at http://www.scrimshire.com

Take care,
Adm

This will be the third Ain't No New Thing and myself and Sid are quite excited about it...

When we talked about starting this initially I was apprehensive. I LOVE playing records and the styles we set out for this were going to allow us a bit of flexibility to have some fun, but it's all the promotion - trying to get people along in the first place. There's a lot of music going on, a lot of people starting their own thing and maybe not that big an audience for us all.

BUT... you've got to have a go. So heading into the third session I guess we're hoping that after a busy one last time (that lead to a lock in and us carrying on through) it wasn't a freak showing and that the session will continue to build on that.

I've started buying records again and have got hold of some gems ready for this week and Sid as ever will be smashing it as only he can. Plus, we may well have a special guest... tbc.

So if you can make it along, we can promise you a good time in a really nice, friendly venue with us doing our very, very best to give you something that will do just a little more than cause a shuffling of feet.

And if we haven't got what you're after do not hesitate to get out and check some of the other amazing sessions going on this friday... I think you may even find one particularly good one going on at Gramaphone.

Take care,
Adam

Most of the tracks in the player have been updated, mostly because there are final mixes and mastered versions now. Plus there is a new track.

Enjoy, please.

Myself and the band are playing at the Jazz Café on Thursday 5th April!

Its a magic week for me cos Monday is the single launch party at Favourite Things with the slightly larger band line up and then trundle down the road on Thursday to Wah Wah Live at the Jazz Café.

The Baker Brothers feat Vanessa Freeman, The Part Time Heroes, us and Spiritual South plus the lovely Dom Servini and Simon Goss. And as if that wasn't enough of an excuse dust off your party pants and shine up the dancing shoes it's the eve of the 4 day bank holiday weekend!

I'm currently working out how to get all of my equipment back from the Jazz Café as well as getting remarkably drunk...

As well as all that we have Warm Sound featuring the amazing Inga-Lill going on to the Wah Wah compilation in May, so I've just been up quite late finishing that mix, which I will pop up here when I can (as well as the YWSM mix that I promised to put up a week ago).

SCRIMSHIRE

Young Adam Scrimshire drops his debut single on Wah Wah 45s, at last, on
March 26th. The 12 inch, You Will Save Me, not only features the majestic
keyboards of Miss Jessica Lauren, but production don Spiritual South has
come through with an amazing piano-house remix!!! Expect much more
Scrimshire pressure this year!!

Reactions

One of the more driving cuts to be unleashed from the Wah Wah camp of late
comes courtesy of South London producer Scrimshire. enlisting the ivory
tinkling talents of a certain Jessica Lauren, You Will Save Me comes over as
punchy broken house (Blazes My Beat anyone?) that has enough real jazz and
soul intonation to cut above the linear material that often populates the
genre. Spiritual South increases the impact on the remix with punching
bottom end and a canny re-arrangement. Found Sounds (DJ Mag)

'Dope music!' Alex Attias (Mustang, Switzerland)

Big radio support from Kev Beadle on Solar Radio & The BBE Show on Ministry!
