Hey folks, this is Ronnie talking to ya. Hope everyone is doing well. We’ve been on an extended tour in Canada with the Crist Family. We really enjoy singing for our Canadian friends!! They’ve always been so gracious and kind to us. Fortunately, the weather has been good and we haven't had any problems. For those of you who haven't seen the Crist Family in concert, I want to encourage you to attend one of their programs as soon as possible. They’re a class act. Their music is top notch. I’m very impressed with their talent. It is also evident they have a passion to be used by the Lord to touch the lives of those in attendance. And to top it all off, their just plain FUN!!! I think we’ve all gone out for pizza after at least three of the concerts we’ve done together. I’m sure my doctor will be pleased to hear I’ve been eating pizza at 1:00 in the morning!! Wonder why I’m gaining weight?! After we finish tonight in Calgary Alberta we all head to Kelowna British Columbia for Sunday night and then Chilliwack BC for a Monday night performance. Before we arrive back home in Nashville, we’re gonna stop off and sing for our friends in Osage Beach, MO. That was the date we missed when we found ourselves stuck smack dab in the middle of a blizzard in Wyoming. Just think about that, Jim and I stuck on our bus for FOUR LONG DAYS with Michael!!!!! We would appreciate your prayers for safe travels home for us and the Crist Family. I’m goin’ in for soundcheck now. I’ll be sure and keep you posted!

UPDATE

Here in Middle Tennesse life is beginning anew! It's springtime here and God's beautiful creation is showing off in all its glory! Who can doubt there is a God when this much beauty abounds?? For those of you who haven't seen the promise that springtime brings yet, hang on...it will be there before you know it!

Springtime is God's promise that life begins anew...especially for those who have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior - what a magnificent HOPE we have in Him!

We are so excited about 2009 that we might just be contagious! So many exciting things are happening in our ministry and we give our Heavenly Father all the praise and glory for what he is doing in us and through us. So many of you have emailed to say that the music of the Booth Brothers is giving you encouragement and strength during difficult times. We are so grateful that the Lord has allowed our music to speak to and encourage you. We receive some precious emails from some of you thanking us for encouraging you but what you may not realize is how much YOU encourage us! Your emails and cards help us to remember that all those miles being driven and all those nights away from home are making a difference in people's lives and that hearts are being changed. Praise God from whom all blessings flow!!!

We're in the middle of our Northwest and Canadian tour right now and we covet your prayers as the weather is looking a little ominous. We've already had transmission trouble and are currently making the tour in a leased bus. The Lord had it all in hand because the transmission started giving us trouble just as we were leaving on the tour. We were about five miles from home - which is much better than being on some desolate road or busy interstate during the stormy weather that's sweeping the upper part of the country. God is good all the time!!!

NEW CD

We have just released a brand new CD entitled "09". Over the years we've had numerous requests for songs from our archives that we have not performed for many years. With that in mind, we recorded some of those requested songs and included some new material that the folks will be hearing from the group for the first time. Some of the classic songs included were the beautiful Mosie Lister song "Love Was in the Room", and Dottie Rambo's classic "This is My Valley". New to the Booth Brothers catalogue is a song written by the great Squire Parsons, "He Came to Me". We also pay tribute to one of our favorite groups, the Imperials, with their classic "Sail On". We had the opportunity to work with the great Nashville session guitarist, Brent Mason, on Jim Brady's song "I Have an Anchor". This could be the most uptempo album we've cut to date. It's a fun record to listen to but still has a lot of spiritual meat for the soul. These songs are filled with hope and encouragement and you will find yourself listening over and over again to this new album.

DOVE AWARD NOMINATIONS

The 2009 Nominees for the GMA Dove Awards have been announced and the Booth Brothers are honored to have received two nominations for Southern Gospel Song - "Welcome To the Family," and Southern Gospel Album - "Room For More." We are humbled by this recognition and our utmost appreciation goes to Daywind Records for their support and promotion of this project and to our own Jim Brady for the enormous contribution he put forth in writing great songs for this album. Most importantly, all praise and honor goes to Him who gave us the purpose to sing and a Gospel to proclaim.

These recordings commemorate the beginning of a lifetime of dreams. As a little boy, I remember watching my father sing before audiences and dreaming of the day that I would be able to perform. If a young man's stature could be measured by his dreams, Michael and I would have been 10 feet tall! These recordings represent a time in our lives when we worked full-time jobs and were singing anywhere and everywhere we were given the opportunity. If you were willing to give us a stage and a microphone, we were willing to sing!! These were the days when we would load up a van, sing, and then drive all night to get home just in time to go to work the next morning.

God breathed life into our ministry in these beginning days. Gathering photos to be included in this Timeline Series brought to remembrance how God has richly blessed our ministry and careers.

Dear Friends,

We returned home from National Quartet Convention earlier this week and played catch-up on office work and also some rest before we hit the road again Friday morning.

Last week was a fantastic week and a very eventful one for us. We are so glad we had an opportunity to meet many of you for the first time and get reacquainted with those of you we haven't seen in a while.

We hope that each and every one of you know how much we sincerely appreciate your outpouring of love and support in the voting of the Singing News Fan Awards. We were humbled by the tremendous results. We still can't believe how expressive so many of you have been with cards and emails of congratulations.

We also understand that it isn't about bringing glory to us but our ministry is about bringing honor and glory to our Lord!! All praise belongs to Him and Him alone!! We consider it a privilege to be able to sing southern gospel music and to minister to you.
