I've come up with a great business idea that is guaranteed to post high returns, especially in a down market! This is incredible, you don't want to miss out. The idea is pretty simple, but requires the following:

Hire 30,000 employees
Contract services from hundreds of vendors around America
Corporate jets and cars for all executives

For full details, just checkout my blog with details about the products/services we are going to provide America. Like I said, this business is a guaranteed return in this down market! Don't miss out!!!

I'm having a nostalgic moment. This is from when a dear friend of mine was increasingly sick...

My mind is filled with thoughts of you

Some are sad
Yet some are glad
Which is why your illness makes me so sad
To hug you and kiss you… the feeling is rad
That's why being without you is driving me mad

I want to touch the soft skin of your face
And kiss you and lick you all over the place
OH! Your beautiful skin, I love it's sweet taste!
Time spent with you is never a waste

You're not only cute
You're a smartie to boot
You understand big words and even their root

You think complex thoughts inside of your brain
Solving math problems is rarely a strain
My adoration for you, I dare not feign
Conversation with you is never so plain

All of the time
You challenge my mind
All of the time
My feelings I find
Draw me closer to you and with you I do bind

You are filled with such spirit even when you are ill
I wish I could cure you with my whim or my will
Or even give you a wellness prescription to fill

Perhaps I can find the skill of a fairy
To take away your sickness that's scary
The highest mountain, your cute self I will carry
My adoration for you I never will bury

What world would this be if it takes you away
Certainly not one where I would like to stay

My thoughts of you are where happiness is made
Not run of the mill but that of the highest grade
I wonder, if you were gone would memory of you ever fade?

If you were taken away, I'd never let go
I'd fight like I was fighting my greatest foe
I'd kick and I'd punch and I even just might
Grab hold of his leg and give it a bite
I would beat him and kick him and give him a romp
I swear that damn leg, I would give it a chomp
He would never pull you from the clench of my hand
No matter how much he would pout and demand

This foe that I speak of, his name is Time
He is devious and evil, he'll play tricks on your mind
He'll let you think that it's okay
To let your memories fade away and decay
To your face we will lie and he'll say
"This is the world, there is no other way"

If you are taken from me, be that as it may
But I'll be damned if my mind will every betray
My feelings that grow stronger for you every day
Your absence from me will bring me much sorrow
Yet I'd rather suffer forever than forget you tomorrow

Rarely will I defend violence, but efin with someone's kid is NOT OK, no ifs ands or buts about it!

If you watch the video, the dad (I'm assuming it was the kid's dad) starts to arrive just as the guy with down syndrome kicks his kid. He wasn't stupid. The down syndrome guy made a clearly aggressive move towards his kid before he kicked him. Watch how the kid backs up in fear before the kick even takes place.

Good follow through on the punch. It laid the other guy right out, and he deserved every knuckle. Family has an obligation to protect family, plain and simple. Kick some dude's kid = get punched in the face. A parent should not have to evaluate someone's mental capabilities and fill out government papers before protecting their child. What if that guy got all Lennie on the kid?

Could a shove have been just as effective? Perhaps, but I'm not sure I wouldn't have done the same thing if someone kicked my nephew.

I've been around for a few years now. I've probably forgotten more than I remember at this point. There are so many lessons to learn in life, but there is one lesson that has recently had more importance with me than ever before:

You don't always know what is going on with someone else.

Now, this might not seem like a big lesson on the surface, but often times we can't understand why people do the things they do or why they are so mean. We don't necessarily know what's going on with the other person, and people who are frightened, worried, anxious, hungry, or feel threatened do things that might not seem rational.

Just the other day, a friend of mine was so upset that someone said something negative about a project she had spent a lot of time on at work. Well, the person who said those negative things had just lost their job and my friend didn't know.

The other day, I asked one of my clients a question about how he wanted to grow his business. He paused for a little while and got a strange look on his face. I immediately thought, "Oh crap!" It took me a little while to register in my head that he had just eaten lunch and had an internal burp when he started talking.

A friend of mine had been having difficulty with one of his clients that is boyfriend and girlfriend team. They seemed to be giving him a lot of grieve and were being rude in some of their meetings. When I told my friend to just sit down and talk with his clients, he discovered that they were having a lot of stress from their families and that the long hours at work was taking its toll on them.

These are just a few examples, but this stuff happens everyday to everyone. I see hundreds of people every single day when I am traveling for my business. From homeless people to wealthy people, I have no idea what is going on in their world. I may understand the current physical environment they are in, but I am not privy to what their actual experience is. What is they have a bad liver or a stomach ulcer? A hairline fracture in their foot? Diabetes? Constipation?

For example, I know that when I am hungry or if I have to pee, I have the shortest temper. Yet, on the surface, nobody is going to know that I have to pee or if I'm hungry. My friend Dean can tell I'm getting hungry by the shortness of my temper, but he's been a close friend for nearly a decade. Someone who barely knows me isn't going to have a clue to the warning signs of hungry Jared.

The value of learning this lesson is ultimately forgiveness. If someone pisses you off because they cut you off in traffic, you can easily forgive them and not raise your blood pressure so much. For all you know, they are about to poop their pants. This way, you can laugh when someone cuts you off rather than get all pissed off. When your mom gives you a funny look when you tell her you love her, just remember it might be from drinking some really bad orange juice, not because she doesn't love you.

Yes, you read the title correctly. A Yes Vote on California's Proposition 8 means you are going to hell. You might be thinking I got Proposition 8 wrong. After all, it is mostly "religious" people who are proponents of Proposition 8 here in California. However, these are mostly Christians lead astray by false leaders who are interested in power, control, and vanity.

These might seem like harsh words, but nothing is more harsh than the oppression of your fellow man, and the Bible makes it very clear that we should not oppress any other human, even ones we don't understand or agree with.

Exodus 22:21
Thou shalt neither vex a stranger, nor oppress him: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.

Exodus 23:9
Also thou shalt not oppress a stranger: for ye know the heart of a stranger, seeing ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.

Those versus above might look and sound familiar. That is because they come from the long list of commandments from God that are frequently shortened to the top 10 list a la The 10 Commandments.

What is oppression? Wikipedia gives us a great explanation of oppression: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oppression

Now, I've had Christian friends tell me that gay marriage must be stopped because the Bible clearly states we must protect our houses of worship. I agree. Your church can (and by any reasonable interpretation of the Bible, should) not allow gay marriage. But you are not worshiping the state of California are you? If you are, you have much bigger problems with God than you do with gay people.

The Bible states that homosexuality is an abomination and that a man laying with another man as he does with a woman is a sin. So, it is pretty clear that gay people are sinning (as are we all).

Will not allowing gay couples to marry rid them of their sin? No

Will not allowing gay couples to have the same civil rights as other couples rid them of their sin? No

Every Christian knows that there is One Way and ONLY One Way to be absolved of our sins. Christians should be focusing on spreading the word of God, not limiting civil rights of our fellow man. Our judgement and condemnation of another human here on Earth means absolutely nothing. Zero. Zip. Zilch. Nada. Null.

Additionally, believing that we should "love thy neighbor as thyself" and turning around and saying that our gay neighbor can't get married is false faith. Go read James 2.

Now, does a Yes vote on Proposition 8 get you into hell? That pretty much depends on what God means by poor. I'm betting it doesn't just involve money! Proverbs 14:31 makes it abundantly clear what it means to oppress the poor. In short, it is blasphemy. If you are doing so in the name of God, it is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit (to which there is absolutely no forgiveness).

10. She doesn't want to have to remove Tom from her friends list because he seems like such a nice guy, but she acknowledges he's not really her friend.
9. She doesn't need Viagra, weight loss pills, or to meet hot local singles.
8. She worries that it will conflict with her secret identity as a trucker named Bubba in Louisiana.
7. She'd rather avoid the stars or NBC's "To Catch A Predator".
6. Her schedule doesn't have time for all the exciting myspace surveys.
5. Doesn't want to have to maintain yet another blog.
4. Is worried it will cut into her hulu.com time.
3. She doesn't want to compete with my best friend for the top friend position.
2. She just can't choose which song to make her profil song.
And the #1 reason my wife doesn't want to get a myspace profile is... She doesn't want to admit that she's married :-P

My friend, Richard, over at Busted Daily posted a bunch of pictures and some video of some of the cast at the "Sex Drive" premiere the other day. You can check them out in his Twilight section of his website BustedDaily.com. It's not just the same red carpet stuff you'll see everywhere else. Some of it is red carpet, but he also has exclusive pictures and video you can't find anywhere else. Enjoy.

You've got to wonder about the WMD nonsense that took place prior to W's "I'm tougher than my daddy" invasion of Iraq. Read about the CNN interview with Curveball. The best part is that we didn't even meet the guy or talk to him. We just pulled information out of our a**es. Albeit, most of it probably came from Cheney and Rummy's rears. If these guys aren't at least put on trial (and hopefully convicted), God save America!
