Just wanted to let you know that you can now secure your copy of the new DoHM record (and the old one for that matter) via iTunes http://www.apple.com/search/ipoditunes/?q=dohm. If you're still old fashioned like me and like buying physical CD's, you can find those at http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/dohm1. Please help me spread the word and THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!

Current mood:  pleased
The wait is nearly over my friends and I'm so excited to be unleashing this album on you all! We are going to be once again celebrating in style at the House of Blues Cambridge Room (basically the doors on the left when you walk in the main box office entrance instead of going straight ahead to the main stage). The show is Saturday June 27th starting at 9:00. Tickets are $10 and we will be joined by our dear friends Purse Snatcher and Theory In Perfect. Please let me know if you want to come and I'll get tickets to you. You can get them online at the HOB website or through ticketmaster or at the HOB box office, etc. but I think you pay a few bucks more for "service charges" those other ways.

As usual, we are ahead of ourselves and Max and I are getting together on Friday to lay down drum tracks in the practice spot as a template for what will someday become album #3. We always do a rough demo version to see where we stand and my goal is that the proceeds from the release of "The Circus" will allow us to book new studio time and start the whole thing over again!! :)

I love making music and I'm so grateful to have people who want to hear it! Nothing pleases me more than thinking of other people driving around listening to our record and getting fired up the way I do with my favorite bands!

So thanks!!

Alright Kids,

I'm drunk, and feel somewhat chatty.  So allow me to chat witcha-

I went ahead and posted 4 cuts from The Circus- 3 of which were up there previously, though not in their current glory.  That would be Taming the Tigers, Thrilled to be Alive, and Rags to Riches.  There is also one World Debut (notice the caps!?!), which is Time to Walk the Line.

I sincerely hope everyone will give a listen and tell us what you think.

I sincerely hope it gets you thirsty for our album to drop.

And I sincerely hope you'll be there to rage with us real soon.

Stay Up my friends, and have a goooood night!

Much Luuuuvv Cleveland!!

Conor

What up kiddies?

As you may have noticed I went ahead and purged everything from our playlist. Yeah, I know- you won't be able to get your MySpace dosage of DoHM for a while. Might I suggest checking out Seether's amazing cover of Careless Whispers? Oh wait no, those guys should all crash off their incredibly hetro tandem bicycle into a herpes bush. You don't want herpes by association, do you? No, I didn't think so. That shit's permanent- I wouldn't listen to Seether either. Anyway, I urge you to fear not true believers! The music hasn't vanished, it's just on vacation. Things are happening and we have some very sexy news indeed. Sexy and sultry really- so much so that I'm getting a raging hard on. Oh, Jesussssss....

Mr. Pritchard, the P-Funkiest McFunksworth, is heading to the studio tomorrow afternoon to oversee the final stages of the mastering process. Assuming all goes well we may be in a position to get everything from our new album, The Circus, up hear mighty soon! I was down last night myself scoping the final tweaks and edits, and modesty will not prevent me from telling you this is one delicious group of tunes my friends- like fucking sushi delicious. We are all 5 of us just pleased as punch with the way everything has turned out, and are extremely eager to see how big a splash we can make with this record. Are there any records of tsunamis on Lake Erie?

Well, wear a rain coat just in case. In fact that's a good idea- you'll probably need it to protect your shoulders from the impending eargasm after beholding The Circus for the first time!

One last thing- remember to mark your calendars for A few Askew's CD release on May 30th at Peabody's. They know exactly how it's supposed to be done, and we will be there helping to maintain the rock while they prep to blow the fucking roof off. We play right before the mighty PurseSnatcher in the Cove- quite the lineup, eh? Hope to see you all there-

Peace out kids; we shall chat again soon-

Much love Cleveland!!

PS- Oh yeah, and to you Seether lovers out there, just remember- Valtrex can really keep those flare-ups under control.  Nooch.  (I promise, I'm done bitching about those queeds at this point)

Been a while kiddies, wsup?
Yes, I finally got off my cheap ass and got me some 'dat interweb, so this shit may become more frequent. So like.... beware and such!

Anyway, our 2nd studio release, The Circus, is very near completion. We are in the finishing stages of the mix/master, and are right on schedule for our June 27th release in the Cambridge Room at HOB. I must say, I am fucking stoked my friends. Just sat and absorbed the latest and greatest versions of the first 4 cuts, and they are fucking tasty! It's shaping up to be a hell of a record indeed. Been a long time coming, that's for damn sure, but will be worth the wait.

On the super plus side, album #3 won't be far behind. We've got songs aplenty at this point, and it's pretty much a question of what to record. Not such a bad position be in really, and we've resolved to get at is as soon as we're able. There is hotness in the works beyond anything we've ever done. Everyone is writing, everyone is rocking, and we're fucking ready for round 3. Oh yes, we are ready.

In short, DoHM will be back with a vengeance very soon and we hope you'll be right there with us!

Much Love Cleveland!

Category: Dreams and the Supernatural

We've played Halloween shows since we were 12 year old kids playing Metallica covers (Mike Daley/Mike Salsbury/Brian Noll/Max Dixon/Conor Heldorfer...and of course the tripping Bill Tallitsch!) as well as every year since we've been DoHM. I'm personally nnot too keen on getting dressed up (but love seeing my friends and strangers dressed outlandishly) or putting cobwebs on the ceiling or carving pumpkins for that matter (although again..they are cool looking). Halloween for me is partying with my best friends and watching local bands (in what will inevitably be one of their finest sets of that or any other year) stomp on the terra and bring their unique and wonderful noise (that would be The Family Riot, DoHM, Purse Snatcher, Wreck Creation and The Company Line this year at the Hi-Fi at 8:00 next Friday the 31st if you're reading this in time...it's FREE, please join us!)

I would love to see swaying crowds of lunatics hoisting beers in the air! I'd love to see the bizarre and fiendish shadowy crowd of ghouls that night, answering our noise with your noise and on and on...

So hopefully you will come (or were there)...

We're also nearing completion on the year in the making (minus several months where "life" got in the way) second album and you fuckers will fall in love from the first song and stay with it the whole way. It's a GREAT record and worth the wait!

In our practices, we are neck deep in the skeleton of album 3...

Thanks for your interest, I hope the music moves you in some way shape or form...

I don't know how many people check this that don't get the e-mail's from me (if you're one of these people, send me a message at brianpritchard@oh.rr.com), but I wanted to let people know the latest and greatest...

The Second album (The Circus): We're probably 70% done at this point. It will have 12 songs. Two instrumental. We are all so proud of what we have heard so far (98% of the music/12% of vocals/70% mixed) and we owe much of that to an incredible engineer that we've worked with at Cleveland's own Ante-Up Audio (his name is Matt Curry and he's worth every fucking penny I assure you!). I'll be attending a vocal recording session this sunday in fact watching a song called "Walk The Line" take shape for the first time in a near finished form! It'll be finished when it's finished but we're working on it as often as time and finances will allow and will most assuredly prove to be worth the wait!

Shows: B&B (acoustic DoHM) continues to whore out the goods to the unsuspecting masses in order to turn a dollar (in order to fund the album). In all seriousness though, the B&B is fun stuff for those who love our music (and occasionally pleases the unsuspecting masses as well). We're playing at Crocker Park this Friday July 11th from 6:30-9:30 in the courtyard next to Cheesecake factory, free show, good for the family, etc. DoHM, in absence of a busy singer, has been in the lab cooking up album 3 (we have about 6 songs polished, framework for another 6 or so). We are anxiously awaiting our next show on August 9th at the Hi-Fi. We plan on playing 1-3 of these new tunes for you (oddly enough, the Family Riot is returning after a bit of a break...and also will have new material to share with you). We are trying to play fewer shows at the moment, do more writing and make each show more special for you the audience as well as for ourselves. It's tough to get new faces out to shows in Cleveland so it's up to you to drag people kicking and screaming to support the local music scene. I can't wait to share our new record with you and share the development of our newest material with you live!

See you in the trees comrades...

Sincerely,

Brian P.

Hello everyone,

Thanks so much to everyone who came out to the Grog Shop show on Saturday! It was sort of a mess because a bunch of teenage emo kids had scheduled an afternoon show that went on too long while we all sat on the sidewalk outside with our gear in the cold waiting for them to let us bring everything inside. At the end of the day though, the bands delivered one exciting set after another and I hope people walked away feeling like they had a diverse and engaging concert-going experience (I certainly did!!).

Next up we have my 25th birthday show at the Hi-Fi on Friday February 8th. Tickets are $5 and we're going to have them available in the next few days. The line-up for this is pure metal fantastic (Watson 387, Solipsist, Family Riot, DoHM, KING) so wear your best suit of armor to this one.

This weekend we're doing something cool. There's a local webcast (both video and audio) that focuses on the strange double feature of extreme sports and underground music (I guess those things have actually been hand-in-hand for a long time in some ways). So you can either listen in (online) or watch us (online) at www.totalextremeonline.com. We will be there this Saturday the 19th at 5:30 P.M EST. We will for sure be bringing in some material for them to play on the air but assuming Brian Noll is available to come with me, I might push for them to let us do something acoustic live in studio as well!!

So check it out if you can (especially those of you who don't live in Cleveland or don't get out to see us very often, or those of you who read these when I send them but have never seen us and always wonder what all the fuss is about these DoHM fellows).

Thanks for your time and attention comrades!!

Sincerely,

Brian Pritchard
