An amazing event has taken place. On Monday, August 4th, my long awaited John Jordan 5 string electric violin arrived. Thanks to a grant provided by the United Arts Council of Greensboro and the generosity of a dear couple my dream violin is a reality.  And it was given to me!  The good guys at the Electric Violin Shop in Durham have been such a help.  Thank you Blaise, Chris and Matt!

John makes instruments that not only sound wonderful, but are beautiful to behold . . . and hold for that matter. I love the StringAmp pick-up. The StringAmp circuitry is a Danish system designed by Michael Etinger. I can't tell you how it works, but I can tell you how it sounds - fantastic.
