We thought that our first year would be hard to top, but the 2006 SGN Music Awards Celebration blew last years awards ceremony out of the water, said Deon Unthank, owner of SouthernGospelNews.com. All of the performers were fantastic and the evening was just very relaxed and ministry oriented. We couldnt have asked for a better Awards Celebration.
The SGN Music Awards are an annual award handed out each year by the staff at SouthernGospelNews.com. Each January, the staff decides upon the nominees in over twenty categories. In February of that year, the readers of the site are then allowed to vote for their favorites. This is the fourth year the awards have been in existence, but it is the first year for an awards ceremony.
The official sponsors for the 2008 SGN Music Awards Celebration were Bev McCann (Loan Officer for American Home Mortgage), H&B Builders, and Bev McCann Ministries.
