Hope this blog entry finds everyone well!  I've had some difficult weeks recently regarding inspiration, which is always a shame and never fun so I have been trying to stay away from music a bit...Experience a few different things and enjoy the otherside of life!  I have however started volunteering at my music group at work, it's always good to get back to working with others to bounce ideas!

Today I uploaded a song from my alter ego...Gridlocked!  As well as my work with Jeff Caylor I have had 3 releases on the Silk Sofa label, these can all be found via the Beatport player on my profile page.  I'm always wondering whether I would be better having two myspace pages for the two different 'me's' in terms of music, perhaps if anyone cares to comment let me know...

Anyway, I am aware that perhaps many of you may never have come across these releases, so here is the most recent one now uploaded as I said before, it is called 'Seven Days - Gridlocked Remix', please let me know what you think!

And if you wish to go further use the beatport player to buy it and check out the other songs!

Just a quick update to say I am currently working on a remix for Psyrin (http://www.myspace.com/xpsyrin) which I am excited about...In truest fashion I am fiddling around with several different ideas...After finally setting the format of the track in stone I decided today to change all the drums!  Still I hope every change is a change for the better and provided the remix is approved you will all hear it as soon as it is finished!

Other than that the weekend was spent doing some 'DIY acoustic treatment' in my basement, but fear not I did see the light of day at various points!

Changing Everything: What Birds Dream (Remixed) continues to do well, and after a lengthy delay I am expecting it to be on itunes within a few days...

Finally, went to see Editors play recently at Norwich UEA and the first supporting act were thoroughly enjoyable, I would suggest checking them out:

So the music is all well, though promotion wise I am yet to really go into the press-packing...Something to get my arse into gear about!  I'd still love to hear any feedback on the music, message me here or find me on facebook (http://www.facebook.com/gavinharrison) and tell me what you think, good or bad!

On a different note, in my last blog I wrote about a heatwave...And where exactly has that gone?!  I know it would be terribly British of me to talk about the weather here but seriously, a little bit of sun wouldn't go amiss!

Another call for you out there, does anyone have much experience of journalism and with that any pearls of wisdom they would like to pass on?  Just a little idea to toy with...

Time to stop the ramblings here, musically I am beginning to feel recharged and in the next week I have a remix being released on the Silk Sofa Record label so keep an eye out for that and I am in the process of writing another tune for them, as always I will keep you posted!

Hello All,

The release date for the remix album of What Birds Dream (check out Jeff Caylor's site for more info on that!) is set provisionally as the 30th June...I've uploaded some new tracks here, I hope you enjoy them and keep an eye out for the full album when released!
