Current mood:  okay
Busan--> Been in Busan for almost a month, had my first payment of work already. Busan is quite nice as it is right next to the ocean and very close to Japan by ferry. The air in my opinion seems to be much cleaner and fresher then Daegu and I have been able to save a bit of money by not having to pay for my lunch which is provided from my school. Though I have many of my friends in Daegu, the KTX (speed train) has been great in enabling me to head over there in an hour's time to hang out and go to events with them!
My past job, I worked nites and taewon worked days. Now, both of us work days. I have been learning how to have a normal yet stable life in Busan as now it has been much easier to sleep at nite as I am not working after 10:00 any  longer and have been enjoying being in the same city as Taewon.  I have been able to see the sunset easily by standing on my roof or even just looking out my apartment window. That was not the case in Daegu as my work shift was still halfway done which made it very unlikely to see a sunset during a weekday.
The kids that I have been teaching have been very very vast in ages and learning levels as there typically are 28 to 30 levels that are going thru our school programs. the place in which I have been working at has English immersion programs with 2 groups of schools each week. there are a variety of classroom learning experiences. The classrooms are made to simulate entering an English speaking country. This past month, I have been teaching the Australia Culture Center; this classroom is nice because it has a variety of props to work with that are from Australia.
On another note, one thing that has been a bit restricting is that for a little while I have to wait to get a new phone plan here after moving to busan.. Other then that, that is how life has been going on lately...

awesome friends just a ktx train ride away, beautful beach nearby, being able to see the sunset more then 2 times in a year, being in the same city with one's soulmate, getting to know more people, having a smaller living space, yet cleaner, newer and more organized, working during the day not nite, hearing and experiencing a vast variety of levels of english learners in the classroom, not needing to take a taxi as many of the things you'd like to see are only a subway or walk ahead, having random tea parties, getting a hair color change, realizing the importance of prayer, understanding how important it is to have alone time, being ok to take another road home to just enjoy walking alone, being able to hear more then just the first sylable of a korean sentence, doing ones best to be postive in the midst of different sudden changes, trying to not be pushed down by negative thinking, remebering who designed life and who brought me to where I am; being ok to make mistakes in the kitchen, living without an oven,or microwave, thinking on one's feet on what to eat without a microwave, thankful for support, and trust from even the close loved ones an ocean span away; those are just " a few things that come to mind in 30 sec span of time of what in the few last weeks I have been experiencing while living in the city of Busan from Daegu...

And finally, there's one other thing.  God's will for you - this is his will for your life, that you be saved, that you be spirit-filled, that you be sanctified, that you be submissive, that you be suffering and finally, that you be saying thanks.  That you be thankful.  Listen to 1 Thessalonians 5:18, "In everything, give thanks, for this is - what?  God's will for you.  A constantly grateful heart rejoice always.  Pray without ceasing.  In everything give thanks.  Constant joy, constant prayer filled with constant thanks.  Is that what your life is like?  Is that you?  Are you just overwhelmed with thanks?  Are you just pouring up thanks?  This is the will of God for you.  There's no mystery here folks.  NO mystery at all.  God's will is that you be saved, spirit-filled, sanctified, submissive, suffering, and saying thanks all the time.  That's God's will.

You say, "Ah, come on.  You're cheating me.  I thought I was gonna get an answer about the girl I'm supposed to marry."  Oh, I'm gonna give you that.  I'm gonna tell you exactly what to do.  You say, "I want a specific answer."  Well that's good.  There's one final principle and you're gonna like it.  You're gonna like it.

If you're saved, spirit-filled, sanctified, submissive, suffering and thankful - you ready for this?  Do whatever you want.  Do whatever you want.  Marry whoever you want.  Go wherever you want.  Work wherever you want.  Choose whatever you want.  You say, "Whoa.  Are you sure?"  Absolutely.  Because if this is true of your life, guess who's controlling your wants.  Do whatever you want.  People say to me, "Why did you come to Grace Church?"  I wanted to come.  There wasn't nothing mystical.  I didn't hear voices in heaven.  Did I know all this would happen?  No, I just came here because I wanted to come.  I said, "That's a good place.  They want me.  Nobody else wants me.  I want to go."  It wasn't like I had a lot of options.  Still don't.  People say, "How did you decide to decide to marry Patricia?"  That was easy.  I wanted her and no one else.  And I said, "God, that's the one I want, right there.  And I believe you're controlling my wants."  You say, "I need a verse for that.  That's way out there."  I'll give you a verse.  I know, you're used to getting a verse.

Here's the verse.  Psalm 37:4, you ready for this?  "Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart."  That doesn't mean he'll fulfill yours, it means he'll plant his.  You delight in the Lord, saved, spirit-filled, submissive, all of those things.  You delight in the Lord and he will plant his desires in your heart.

In Umeda, there were so many different types of stores and even inside the mall 5 to 6 stories there was a ferris wheel inside. One time I went to the American Village, outside Umeda, there one found many different shops, many that were hippish. including those types of shops we were able to find the Tapica, the type of drink that you can suck up the gummy balls, that was soo good and refreshing when it was so hot outside. Also, we went inside a busy mall. It was the time of sales.. It reminded me of a carival for people were using blow horns and chanting very loudly to get customers.. After a while, we left the busyness of the stores, for one could get lost in that environment;)

One of the things, I liked most from Japan was being able to see so many fun places. out of the places that I went, it ranged from Traditional city of Kyoto to Umeda where even at nite, it busy and full of people, there the lights surrounding the city are very light and bright. In Kyoto, the atmosphere seemed very tranquil and reflective, there there are many temples and traditional shops, one can find so many different things to take home with them. Also, if one desires they can become a geisha for the day. That includes getting dressed in traditional wear and getting the made up like a geisha. With my first host family, I was able to become one! Wow, was that a great experience. Going from the traditional city to the modern city of Umeda.. there is a change of pace...

Osaka Castle,

A big castle that can be seen from a long distance. Painted with gold and white. the view from the castle was a amazing, there was a moat surrounding the castle. the water a darker green, with green grass surrounding the waters edge. It had once been destroyed and it took only 3 days for the workers to rebuilt it for the leader of the castle had that much power to influence them to work their hardest on the castle.

Headed from there to a mall, surrounded by white shirted workers, for it was in the business district. The day though beautiful was what they call atsui.. meaning HOT. There was a going away party ceremony last nite that I did a speech all in Japanese, it was a lot of work to do... for i worked on it all month. The staff from the international office made us a slide show that was so great to see, full of many memories... Tomorrow we head off our separate places to America, Austrailia, Thailand, and Canada... our group of 15 at the Japanese school, became quite close, we spent hours together.. it shall be strange not to have that daily contact with them.

Current mood:  melancholy
today is Monday, the last monday till leaving from my month stay in Japan.. it seems a bit strange to say that.. when many unfamilar things now are familar.. it is not uncomfortable now to use chopsticks or to find my way aimlessly around the train stations.. Even running into other english native speakers, It feels more natural to put in a few Japanese words or two into the conversation. Today, we made obentos.. I will put a photo up later of it.. it is a lunch box that is made out of rice patty, seaweed, pumpkin, terrikye chicken and more.. we also made wine jelly.. ( very interestingly unsweet..).. all and all it was a great experience.. and now I will head off to see more of Umeda.. the city in which many shops and sweet restaurants are..

Paper.. yesterday, us international students went into the mountain area of osaka, Japan and made traditional paper.. It was really sweet out of water and soil...it reminds me of cotton paper. Tomorrow we shall make indigo... the group of us students at Mukogawa has grown closer together in Japan.

Recently, I switched host families.. I have been able to practice more japanese in this environment... They speak more japanese around me and I have been able to catch up on a lot of words recently. I have taken the train by myself which can be a bit confusing at times..

soonly I shall go to Kobe and have food at The old spagetti factory like the one in Spokane.. all and all a bit tired.. .now with the various things.. but it is all good.
