We're gonna make a little recording soon. It's probably gonna sound something like this:

Hello everyone,
I've put up a few tracks from our 2fm session. I like them. These are the people who play on these recordings:

Singing is me. Drumming is Jamesy Byrne. Keys and backing vocals are Dave Crean. Guitaring and more backing vocals are Tommy McLaughlin. Bass is Danny Snow. Last, but not least, sound engineering is by the incomparable Damien Chennells.

The songs got stretched but they didn't snap!!!

Hello everyone,

I'm typing this on my sickbed. I've been here for the last 48 hours - it seems my body wasn't satisfied with a throat infection so it got a full blown flu as well. I must've have lost my body weight in sweat last night. I think this is a good thing.

This all means that we've had to cancel our Brighton shows and the first show with BellX1 in Birmingham. This is a real bummer. But the plan is to be healthy for the London show on tuesday and beyond.. so here I stay. The screen burned my eyes yesterday, but it feels ok today. The eye-burning thing must've been in the sweat. Ok I'm going to change my sheets now.

Thankyou everyone for the nice messages...

It's looking good for the Dublin show tomorrow - feeling a bit better today, still a bit weak in the throat but let's just see what happens. I'm planning on channelling the spirit of Henry Darger for this one so I reckon it'll be a winner..

Hello everyone,

I'm not allowed to talk, so typing feels nice.

Last week's shows were amazing, we'd like to thank everyone who came out to see the band. We had a blast, but as the shows went on, it became harder for me to sing. By the time we got to Limerick, it became pretty obvious that something was up. I was squeaking my way through the soundcheck and as it came closer to showtime, we were toying with the idea of cancelling the show. Myself and Cormac even started rehearsing new versions of all the songs in a lower key, with the aim of doing a sort of stripped down crooning show... Then someone gave me a bowl of honey and my voice seemed to come back, so we decided to go ahead with the full band.

Cut to an hour later, halfway through the first song of the set, the only thought going through my head was "This must be what hell feels like. Holy shit!" But then my voice came back. Then it disappeared again. And so on, until the end of the set... so thanks to everyone in Limerick for putting up with me - at the very least we had shared experience. I'd also like to apologise to Tommy for pushing him against the wall.

So yesterday I went to the doctor and she told me that I have a throat infection and that I shouldn't talk or play any shows for the next two weeks. "NO!" I squeaked. "I need to play the show on saturday at the very least" I pleaded. So now I'm on steroids and a strict vow of silence for the next few days. I'm trying to see it as a sort of experiment - gonna write down everything that comes into my head. I'd like to apologise to everyone who was going to come to the show in Waterford today and Mullingar on Friday - we'll make sure to get back there as soon as we can. Here's hoping for Saturday..

So we sort of lied when we said that we only made 500 copies of 'Hollow Kind'. The first 500 are hand-numbered, but we made more in the event of it selling out too quickly. Happily, this event recently happened. This makes us incredibly excited and thankful. Speaking of which, thankyou.

It feels very strange to me. Actually, everything is very strange at the moment, isn't it?
