Sasha White has a great blog up at Naughty and Spice that asks, "What do you want?"

Now I"m not just saying it's great because she's our guest blogger this week, I'm going to take my comment I left over there about coming back from Nationals feeling more positive, one step further.  Because when you get drug down by the day-to-day of life it's real easy to let positive fly out the window; when you get drug down by the beating you can take as a writer (published or otherwise) it's real easy to let that fly out the window. Not only was I once-up-a-time more positive, I was more in touch with the universe, more willing to ask for what I wanted, more willing to verbalize to the universe my needs and wants and desires and I need to get back to that.

I am going to be more positive. I will be more positive.  I am a positive person.

To that end, I even ordered a book my nutritionist recommended called "Feelings Buried Alive Never Die."  It takes the power of positive reinforcement to the next level and talks about reprogramming your DNA (to become a more positive person, to become a calmer person, to change the way you think, feel, eat etc).

If you want to laugh or poke fun, please do so elsewhere....this is a no negativity zone :D

as_monday.jpgIt all started last Monday night.  I met Shelli and Emma at the Hyatt and we hit the West End for dinner! You can't tell but my hair is in pigtails *g* ..more-->

Here's a shot below of Emma contemplating her Chicken Fried Chicken.  I even got them both to try fried pickles!  They were yummy but a bit on the salty side. emma_chicken1.jpg

Unfortunately, the fried okra didn't fare so well.  By this time we'd had a few drinks (the Pink Lemonade Martini(s) was to die for! okra1.jpg I'm sure Shelli felt the same about her Shiner Bock(s)), and were just a wee bit rowdy, so when Shelli freaked out about the seeds all I could do was laugh.....and laugh....and laugh!

Tuesday was my official check in day!  I'm embarrassed to report I brought more clothes than both of my roomies combined.  I got settled in and headed for the bar.  As the days progressed, it seemed I headed for the bar a lot, but that's where the action was, and you could always find someone to chat with (and drink with)....

pam_jenjen1.jpgLike these two lovely ladies, (Pam Britton and Jen Scully) ....though at this point I'd yet to see Nora  I have lots more stories and pics....but you'll just have to be patient!

So, out of necessity *coughshitcough* I pulled out a WIP I'd like to work on.  I've really got to do some major character fleshing (and writing), but I"d forgotten how much I loved this story. It's an absolute hoot and if I can get it written *godhelpme* should be a fun read too.

However, when I first created the characters I made them older.  Not OLDER older, but my age older.  The heroine is 39 and the hero is in his early 40's.  I did this for very specific reasons.  Namely the hero is a doctor and all that medical school stuff takes a while.  I also gave them both issues I think a lot of people my age and slightly older can relate too--aging parents.  I think it'll make an interesting sub-plot.

And, oh yeah, it's supposed to be an erotic romance.

You can stop laughing now.

So while I know the age amongst the readership of erotic romance varies widely (and i tend to stick with 30-something heroines), how do you feel about reading slightly older characters?  I'm a fine one to be asking, I can't even date older men  :lmao:

I've been debating for months on whether to pierce my nose or not.  I discovered that all the NAS girls(except Shell the big weenie) have theirs done and finally gave in.  I even went all by myself and it's kinda cute if i do say so myself! I'm so excited!!!!!!!

Yeah yeah I'm just a big goob.  As soon as I find the cord to the digital camera, I'll post piccies
