Q1, Who are you & where are you from?
Hi, we are Copycat Vigilante. We are 2 parts Doncaster 1 Part Barnsley.

Q2, What's your myspace page called? What do you think myspace has to offer bands & artists? How many friends have you got (it is a competition you know!) and how many are actual friends?
Erm, Copycat Vigilante? Myspace i guess as it says on the tin is a place to meet new people, and another way to get our various noisy outputs heard. Our friends are mainly local to where we live and its surrounding area. We have a few labels in the hope they might have a listen, a few bands, some promoters etc. We dont really have many big breasted girls from America as friends just to boost our numbers (ok we have a couple haha). Myspace IS a good thing although maybe it is becoming harder to get heard as there are so many bands out there. Thats by no means a bad thing though.

Q3, Why should somebody add you as their 'friend' and what does it take for you to 'deny' somebody as a friend?
It would be nice for people to add us if they like our stuff or are into bands in a similar genre. I find it a bit off putting when people send us requests saying things like "Yo, word up! check out our songs" im usually a little more polite haha

Q4, If you had to pick a musical genre in which to pigeon hole yourself which one would you go for?
I guess "Post Hardcore" is the one that is mentioned most.

Q5, What is you favourite song you've written & why? What song would you have loved to have written?
"Seconds Out" is the song that has proved most popular so far for us although we have a couple up our collective sleeve that may change that. Im a fan of the simple pop song and The Cure have written them by the bucket load, probably "Close To Me", or maybe "Henry Lee" by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.

Q6, What song gets you dancing every time & why?
"Basket Case" by Green Day, i reckon ive heard this song close to a million times but after a few beers it can still transport me back to being a 15 year old snotty punk kid.

Q7, What is the most embarrassing song in your collection and why did you buy / download it … please be very honest!
Im going to play it safe and say Michael Jackson, i was a huge fan when i was a kid but there is i think still a bit of a stigma attached to his music (for obvious/dubious reasons)... i remember feeling embarrsssed buying his greatest hits, something ive never experienced before and i bought some shocking stuff as a youth "Power Rangers are go" springs to mind, although i no longer own that master piece.

Q8, What was the last song you listened to and why?
The last song i (unwittingly) heard was "Never Gonna Give You Up" by Rick Astley.. It was on the news, He's won an MTV award apparently :/

Q9, Can you list your five favourite songs of all time and if so what are they?
Tough 1 because i think it depends on mood, whats going on at that point in your life etc, but i'll give it a go:

1.The Cure - Just Like Heaven
2.Green Day - Basket Case
3. At the Drive-In - One Armed Scissor
4.Nick Cave and the badseeds - Henry Lee
5.Fugazi - Ex Spectator

Q10, If you had to form a tribute band, which band would you chose and why? Who would you be & does that say anything about you?
Maybe something like the Ramones, simple pop songs and it'd be ace to get a room full of people shouting "Hey ho! Lets go" back at you. What does that say about me? Hmmm that im secretly into long hair and leather?

Q11, Do you do gigs? If so how would you describe your live experience?
Loud/Shout/Quiet bit/Loud/Shout/applause(hopefully)

Q12, What would make the perfect gig for you?
Blood, Sweat and beers.

Q13, Where's you favourite place in the world and what does it say about you?
Im happy in the rehearsal room/studio messing around with sounds and coming up with ideas. What does that say about me? That im a massive boring geek probably haha

Q14, What's the best and worst thing you've ever seen written about you?
We've had fairly good reviews so far thankfully, a few people have mentioned we need a bit of a kick up the arse at times though to get things moving along.

15, In ten words write your own press release (swearing is definitely allowed!)…
Copycat Vigilante are three guys plus a laptop, fuck yeah!
(i wont be going for a job in PR anytime soon haha
