just b/c i had nothing else to do, i clicked on one of the 'cool new ppl' on the home page of myspace. i clicked on "Micah" b/c that's a fun name. and look who is it! i'm currently struggling with the blog hosting site i chose for my other blog.
i should switch to something else.
but i dont even want to open that door, cuz i'm pretty sure i'll be hopping around from one site to another.
blogsome one day. wordpress the next.
then blogspot and livejournal and blogdrive.
it'll never end.

i'm actually fairly proud of myself for lasting a WHOLE YEAR on msn spaces.

i spent most of the day today at work.... sitting there.... watching ppl walk by... watching tv on my computer, Seinfeld, Scrubs, Arrested Development...
it was a good time actually.
somewhat boring b/c i decided to start reading my 'Economic Development in Canada' textbook.

anyways, i was watching the audio commentary to one of the Scrubs episodes a while back and the ppl talking (the creator and the actress who plays Carla) mentioned 'Scrubs geeks' who know more about the show than the creators.
i thought it was funny cuz i could see myself on the line between 'big fan' and 'obsessed geek'.
i tend to watch episodes many many times over... but hey, what else am i supposed to do between the season finale and the season premiere?
... i was watching one of the recent episodes (502 i think) and they brought back an character who had been in one episode back in season 3 or 4. i recognized him instantly.... but they did a whole flashback and everything to re-introduce him.

anyways, i'm tired and rambling...

i drove to the grocery store today.

after passing a couple storefronts i realized that i was still singing aloud.
(and when i say 'aloud' i mean LOUD)

i woke up this morning and EZ Rock was playing on the radio.
(which is no reason to complain, let me tell you! usually it's on "The Fan 590" which is all sports. all the time. i always have to fight the urge to throw the stereo out the window.)

it was the "Classics Cafe" lunch hour.
During that one hour, the station is ACTUALLY good!!

They played the song Funky Town and it's been in my head for the last 5hours.
"Won't you take me to... FUNKY TOWN?!!"

I feel like getting up and dancing.

So, the first time i listened to the song i enjoyed the chorus and the melody, and 'calmness' of the song.
but i just listened to the words in the verses, and i LOVE it.
"part of the beauty of falling in love with you is the fear that you won't fall"

I hope that song is on the new album!

Logan 5
the instant I signed up with myspace i got a one of those Friend things from 'Logan 5', which i just assumed to be this guy i know named Logan, who for some odd reason had nicknamed himself 'Logan 5'.
and i figured he had set something up where he would send me a message as soon as my email address was registered with the site. (like on hi5)
but yesterday i checked, and it was definitely not him....
it was odd really...
I dunno how they (it was a band) had send me a message so quickly! maybe my account was on the homepage or something?

k, now it's time for me to go shovel the snow!

since i've come to terms with the fact that i'm addicted to "The 4400" -- a show about 4400 people disappearing over a 40year period, only to all return at the same time, but with 'special powers' *rolls eyes* -- i've been dl'ing the episodes like crazy.

 its funny how the episode that took the longest was 205... i waited until it was finished, instead of skipping ahead to 206.
but now they're all done.
i feel like i should go run away from my computer immediately, cuz i know that once i start watching the episodes i won't want to stop.
...so addictive.

anyways, like i mentioned, i got a piano for Christmas!
yayyyy!
i was seriously struggling this past term without a piano!
i didn't realize how much i used it until i didn't have access to one..
last year there was a piano room in rez, and second year i would randomly hop on a bus and go to my old rez to use their grand piano.
haha, and now that i work there, i find out that they probably wouldn't have liked me to do that! especially when i used my previous knowledge of the building to enter it after they locked the doors. oopsy!

anyways, it's just a normal keyboard. 61keys. slightly awkward to play b/c the keys aren't as heavy as i'm used to... i'll get used to it though.
it's fun adding fun beats to the background of songs. :)

i've been surfing the net for sheet music sites, and i found this one: www.copy-us.com which i thought was cool.

my sis got me the Seinfeld Season 6 DVD for Christmas!
that show is so funny!
it is one of the most 'jam packed' dvds i've ever seen.
i can now understand why they are so expensive.
there's commentary on tons of the episodes.
the blooper reel is almost as long as an episode! (or longer... or shorter.. i didn't really time it. it felt REALLY long though)
there are interviews upon interviews...
random extras like cartoon Seinfeld episodes. (they're REALLY funny)
and more stuff that i can't remember right now!
4 dvds, plus one 'bonus' dvd with a couple things on it.
needlesstosay, i was impressed.

my mom got me SCRUBS SEASON TWO dvd!
which was very exciting.
i haven't popped it in yet, but i'm pretty sure it's not as full as the Seinfeld one....
but that's okay.
Season 5 starts January3rd!

Vanp got me the Corneille dvd of his Paris concert!
mmm.... he is one attractive man.
not to mention an AMAZING singer/songwriter.

My sis also got me Stevie Wonders new cd!
I feel like such a bad fan for not playing it yet.
i should go do that now.
