Evening friends,

It's been six long and busy months since our last Melbourne show, so we're excited to announce that we will be playing Ding Dong Lounge, Friday 30th October!!!

This is a special one, as it is going to be Red's first show with us, and our first show as a four piece in quite some time.

Supports are still yet to be confirmed, but check back in the coming days for an update.

So, we'd love to see as many of your faces as possible, because we've missed you, and we've missed playing live in this wonderful city!

New members, new songs, new direction, new SLEEP PARADE!

Everyone,

Yes, the time has come!  It is a time for change, a time for expansion, and it is time to bring you all up to speed.

First of all, we would like to wish James a fond farewell from the Sleep Parade family.  Best of luck in the future dude, and have a kick arse time overseas!

So, we are now pleased to introduce you all to Matt, who will be taking over on bass guitar duties.  This handsome young man has already played one show with us, two weeks ago at Blueprint Festival in Ararat, and we're pretty damn excited to be able to welcome him in to the fold!

There is more though.  We also take great pleasure in being able to welcome Red. He will be bringing aditional guitars and live keys to party, but most of all, one very creative mind.

That's right, Sleep Parade is to be a four piece!

The four of us are extremely busy writing at the moment, and we're very excited about the new material!

Just want to say a quick thanks to all who attended Blueprint Festival in Ararat, Victoria on the weekend.  The festival rocked, with some amazing artists contributing a great line-up.

We hope you enjoyed the new tracks on Saturday night, there are plenty more on the way.

2008 International Songwriting Competition


CARRY ON has made the finals of the 2008 INTERNATIONAL SONGWRITING COMPETITION in the ROCK Catagory (..of course..!!). Out of over 15,500 entries across all categories, CARRY ON is in the top 16 in ROCK cat. and is among 278 finalists in the MAJOR PRIZE as well.
Other bands in our category include AUGIE MARCH, OPERATOR PLEASE and THE ATARI'S.

THE ATLAS AGENCY and SLEEP PARADE MANAGEMENT Present:

After catching our breath following another great bunch of shows with THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT in January, 

we are about to head back to SYDNEY and the CENTRAL COAST as well as a hometown show in MELBOURNE.
We have started to write for the follow-up to our 2008 album, THINGS CAN ALWAYS CHANGE and will be eager to test tracks live in the coming
months for you guys to preview.
We are also currently planning an overseas tour after being accepted to do POPPKOM Music Showcase in Germany this coming September.

Hey Sleep Peeps,...

Triple J have played "Passengers" a few times in the last week or so, we reckon you should tell em to play it more,..

We have just finished another bunch of shows with TBE and we wanna thank em again for taking us out on the road. Great shows lots and lots of beer.

Leigh is off OS for a break and to write so Dan and Jimmy are gonna be writing and enjoying time not being in a van here in OZ. Getting some of our gear fixed and harassing our manager to get us overseas at the end of this year. Might even see some family and friends.

We are excited, we are writing new tunes, 2nd records coming..

Anyone wanna donate $ to our overseas cause? We are happy to sell your unwanted xmas underwear on ebay,..so drop us a comment on the website. Let us know what ya got to offer us to sell.

Also, we were thinking of running a competition and see if any Sleep Parade fans would make a short doco of the band on the road, say something like,..go on the tour bus for 2 days, try to steal our beer, more tours this year,.. maybe you could go with the band and film it and make a short,..Get it up on sleepparade/youtube sites,.. lots of possibiltites. Anyone seen Spinal Tap? ,,ha ha
