COP15, the most important environmental conference since Kyoto, is officially underway in Copenhagen. To keep this pivotal world event at the forefront of our minds, Future Shorts will present a new, environmental-minded short film each day this week. First up is EFTE’s dark and thoughtful animated short, ‘Segregacia’. EFTE is a Polish organisation dedicated to promoting a wider understanding of environmental issues like sustainability and recycling. Follow COP15 on the official website (http://en.cop15.dk/) and on twitter (just type #COP15) and don’t forget to check Future Shorts twitter feed every day for more short films.

Caves, Factories and Film: Future Shorts and The Guillemots announce their ground breaking Autumn tour, fusing cinema and music at 16 extraordinary sites. Future Shorts will once again be igniting their trailblazing collaboration with one of the most original bands in pop: The Guillemots, producing another imaginative and charismatic event.
The band's 'Fishbone For A Drink' Tour will deliberately avoid the traditional circuit preferring to step into the unknown by inhabiting such venues as a Cornish cave, Lancaster's main public library and a converted cinema right in the heart of Edinburgh.
Future Shorts will be doing their part to push the creative brink and make each night a unique audio-visual experience. Building on the success of this year's Latitude festival, that saw them working together on a live re-scoring of 'Eraserhead.' each show will be opened by a selection of short films re-scored live by the band.
Bringing the most inventive sights and sounds together this tour promises to become one of the don't miss events of the autumn.

FUTURE CINEMA PRESENTS EINE KLEINE NACHMUSIK ATNEVEREVERLANDFuture Cinema will be joining forces with Eine Kleine Nachtmusik on creating a cinematic otherworld which will be part film, part installation, part dream and all http://www.einekleinenachtmusik.tv/ at the incredible Neverneverland event at the Coronet.
Nevereverland is a place somewhere close to heaven, not far from Graceland, nowhere near Sunderland, where every noise that enters your ear cavity sounds like a chorus of harmonizing angels, the feeling in the air is similar to that of a Fijian pool bar, and everybody knows your name. Nevereverland is the travelling festival established last year in Australia and headlined by Daft Punk, and this year it comes to The Coronet in London for one night only on November 15.
Starring The Presets, Shy Child, Ladyhawke, Van She & Van She Tech, Fred Falke, Lifelike, Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, Thecocknbullkid [DJ Set], Frankmusik, Lifelike, Pop Justice DJs, FACT DJs, The Voguettes, Modular DJs Dreamtime and FUTURE CINEMA! , the London chapter of Nevereverland is gearing up to be the most righteous night on the razz November's ever seen.
See you in nevereverland…

This short is wicked and funny at the same time, its about a father teaching his son a valuable lesson. What makes me laugh and what's clever about the film, is how the father looks like the type of person who wouldn't trust anyone, and here he is teaching his son a lesson about trust. Is he teaching his son a valuable lesson or just passing on his insecurities? It's debateable, I think its a bit of both, you decide! Ravster

It's set in a dystopian future, where the cross contamination of genetic material goes haywire. There are flying cats and businessmen with pigeon heads. It's moody and dark, with real strong imagery. The fact it's made on a shoestring budget, actually adds to the mood, big up to the filmmaker Carl Stevenson, who produced everything, including the sound and music. Ravster.
