Hey Hey, The Tim Vanhamel tour is over, the new Sukilove record has been recorded and now I'm finally back to working on the Black Cassette LP. I still need to sing a few lines but the rest has all been laid down. We have 1 show coming up next week and I'll be spinning records in Cafe Walvis on the 30th of Jan. and in Scheld'apen on the 6th of Feb. Also, I'll be joining Dez Mona for a two-night stand where we are supposed to provide a live soundtrack to the film 'Funny Games' by Michael Haneke. One of the few films I have never been able to watch till the end because it was too heavy. We'll see how that goes. These shows will be in Amsterdam on the 13th and 14th of March. Bye Bye, Sjoerd.

The Black Cassette EP has been sold out for over a month but I forgot to mention anyone. No hard feelings, ok?
We're working on our first full-lp. It will consist of 12 songs, including improved and
re-recorded versions of the ones on the EP. So far everything sounds good but I still have to record all the vocals so I wouldn't get too excited just yet.
We have no label, no deadline and no budget so bear with us...

There's a new song up called 'Funny'. It's on the EP that's on sale during our -admittingly rare- concerts.
Also, I am now a member of Tim Vanhamel's new group where I'll be singing backup and play guitar. Check the tv programme 'LUX' which airs tomorrow on Canvas.
PLUS: Black Cassette will be Tim's opening act in Ghent, Hasselt, Antwerp and Kortrijk!! This means I'll have to play twice each night - it'll be a good workout...

I decided to go DIY and release the Black Cassette EP all by myself. It's a cd-r in a handmade sleeve. 5 euros for 5 songs in a carton sleeve cut, folded, glued, spraypainted and scribbled on by yours truly. It's in different shades of black with a tiny dash of pink.

Family Friend is not a Christmas song but it sounds like one and I think that's good enough. Black Cassette's EP is as good as finished. I'm now thinking of ways to release it. If you read this and have money or a record company: mail me. If you know a place in Antwerp where they sell Bounty Puur bars you can mail me as well. The only place I've ever found them is the Video Take Out...

I also added two home demos for the holidays: Santa Flies With Rooks, illustrating the bearded one's flight through night skies and Whatever You Say Will Be Law From Now On which is an Indian V.U. bossa tune for the guilty ones among us.
