Culture lovers awake! An Audience With Mr Methane heralds the return of highbrow entertainment to the Edinburgh Festival.

Standing Order expected to be as full as a fat bird's shoe, says licensee Mr J.D.Weatherspoon…

Yes, Britain's leading purveyor of the economically priced all-day breakfast and perfectly triangular fish fillets prepares to welcome the world's only full-time professional performing flatulist in an Audience With Mr Methane from August 9th to 23rd at the Standing Order, George Street, Edinburgh.

"Interest in the show has been unprecedented," says a made-up quote from Mr J.D.Weatherspoon himself, "What could be more agreeable than to sit down with a bottle of faux German beer and enjoy Strauss's beautiful Blue Danube waltz, augmented by Macclesfield's leading virtuoso on the botty bugle."

Mr Methane will perform several of his international best-selling hits during the show, while recounting some of his amazing adventures in show business to witty and urbane broadcaster/ journalist Martin Kelner.

Kelner asks only for a small contribution on the night for children in Africa deeply traumatised by being visited by Lenny Henry every bloody year for a Comic Relief documentary.

"CLEVER" TV Show. Weds 08th Aug 07. SAT1 Germany Fans in Germany can see Mr. Methane on "Clever" The Television Quiz Show that makes Science Fun when the Windy Hero makes a guest appearance on the SAT1 show, Wednesday 08th August 2007. "Clever" is a new, groundbreaking Edu-tainment format, where science hilariously meets comedy, and where learning has never, ever been so much fun. It won the German Television Award 2005 for "Best Show"

Ok Poop Pickers I've deleted Shaft and uploaded a new unreleased Methane track. This one is Banana Splits, I recorded it with Kava Kava www.myspace.com/kavakavamusic at The Dog House Studio www.thedoghousestudio.co.uk we also did a track called Total Clearout which made it onto my mrmethane.com CD.

A few other things.

Firstly TV.

If you live in Germany I'm on a show called "The Clever Show" it goes out primetime on SAT3. I don't have a transmission date though. Sorry.

Also I am appearing on the current series of a National Geographic Channel show called "I Didn't Know That". Again I'm not sure when it goes out but I know that NG shows get repeated quite a lot and go out all over the globe so you might catch it in your part of the world.

Howard Stern.

People keep asking me why I haven't been on Howard Sterns show of late. The answer is quite simply that I haven't been to the USA  or New York in particular and so I haven't had occassion to pop in and see Howard. If I was there I would call in on him but I haven't been in town and that's the reason, nothing more nothing less. I don't know when I'll be in America again, I'm really enjoying  living in England at present  as I've re  located to a very nice part of it and somehow I don't like leaving home unless I have to, so your guess is as good as mine.
