In 1993, bassist/songwriter Jason "DURB" Durbin and drummer Brian Holland moved from Kettle Falls, WA. to Spokane, WA. and hooked up with guitarist Sean Van Blaricom to form Wicked Stitch. With Durb's best friend Krush Kulesza on lead vocals, they played their first show then disbanded. Durb and Sean were determined to keep the project going, so they hooked up with drummer Chad Burk and vocalist Forest Violette and released their self-titled debut e.p. But this lineup didn't stay together for very long either. Durb and Sean then hooked up with drummer Silas McQuain and vocalist/guitarist Tyler Freeman and released their 2nd e.p. titled "Wasted Space". They gigged locally, then disbanded. Brian Holland and Forest Violette rejoined the band and they put out their critically acclaimed e.p. titled "Serpent Love" followed by the live album "Belligerent". They parted company with Forest shortly thereafter. Durb, being born to be a frontman, took over the vocal duties, and they released "Killswitch" to rave reviews, followed by sold-out shows. Then in 2002 they recruited vocalist Bret Allen, and put out the amazing "Scrap Metal" album. In 2003 they put out the "Rivers Of Mars" album, with Durb playing all the instruments except drums and guitar solos. Right about this time, drummer Brian Holland started playing guitar and , Chad Burk rejoined on drums. In 2006 they started recording a new album called 'Senior Keg', but ran out of money to complete it. Later that year, old friend Jeff Kenley moved back to Spokane from Portland and joined as lead vocalist and former Wicked Stitch drummer Silas McQuain's little brother, Craig joined on guitar as well. They started playing live shows again early 2007 to major fanfair and went into the studio early 2008 to record their highly anticipated cd, 'Sonic Fury'. In late June 2008, Sonic Fury was completed. As in true Stitch style, the cd offers the listener a multitude of different styles mixed with their unique blend of metal and punk. You have your instant classics, such as 'Bad Day...Gettin' Worse!', '180' and 'Down', as well as numerous other metal masterpieces. They've also created sites for each of their cd's they've released. They are on the 'top friends' list, which gives you more tunes to listen to. Be sure to check them out!
