We've finally lined up a time and place to show the video...

http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c54/bmxbud4130/bmx/GFB_flyer1.jpg

It's gonna be at the Flow Skatepark in Columbus, OH.  We're inviting everyone to come out and ride and at the end of the session around 10:30 we'll show the video.

It's the normal $12 fee if you want to ride, otherwise free if you want to come hang out and watch.

Nothing else has really been planned as of now, but there may or may not be impromptu no-footer or nac-nac contests.

And here's a link to the trailer...

http://www.bmxonline.com/bmx/videos/image/0,27679,1272211_1573286,00.html

The video has full parts from Troy Merkle, Nathan Powell, Jon "The Gremlin" Bechtold, Ryan Howard, Tony Cherry, Casey Longshore, and Greg Goldberg.
It also features a Matt Skaggs/Ric Wood split, and shorter segments of Charlie Crumlish, Anthony Barton, Justin Simpson, Chuck Kaufman, Dane Wild, and a ton more.

We will also be doing another premiere at Rise Above in Lorain, Ohio around the same time, once we figure that out I'll make another post.

So come on out, have a good time.

If you have any questions regarding the video or the premiere, feel free to fire em back at me.

Thanks,

To anyone that was at the flow contest in columbus yesterday...
some low life bastard walked with my camera bag yesterday. luckily i was using my video camera at hte time and i still have that. but they got my digital camera, lights, and a handful of other accessories.

here are some pictures of the bag, its a one of a kind. its got a strip of tan fabric across the bottom now too where a tear has been patched up. so if anyone sees this bag or knows anything about it, please, please let me know. if i get the bag back, you will be rewarded somehow. i promise.

- Jody Donnelly is throwing the "Sick-N-Twisted Tricks Tour" at Pierre's Entertainment Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana on July 30th. The event will include BMX box jump jam session, Freestyle Moto-X, several bands and DJ's, Hot Rods, Choppers, Fireworks, and more. It's an all ages event and tickets are $10 at the door with proceeds going to the Cancer Society. Gates open at 4pm and the event will run until dark.

- Season has two new shirts out now. Check em out at www.seasonbikes.net

- There's a new featured photo. This one is of Troy Merkle doin' a long hang ten at some loading docks. But you've gotta go to the site to see it... www.perspectivesbmx.com

- Brian Shapiro has almost completed his cross country bike ride from Cleveland to Los Angeles. Just a matter of days from his destination he had his bike stolen in Arizona. He did manage to find another at a thrift store and got it going well enough to finish the rest of the trip, but having your bike stolen sucks, I imagine it's even worse when you've ridden it nearly 2000 miles from home. Shapiro rules. www.bmxboard.net/bnw

- This past weekend a few of us drove up to Michigan and rode a few things up there. We didn't take a whole lot of pictures, but some of what we did shoot are posted below. It was a pretty good weekend despite a few mishaps. On Saturday Greg broke his ankle trying to 360 out of a bank and over a park bench, and on Sunday Jon's camera was broken. Big thanks to Joe from Grand Rapids and Jim Baaske for letting us crash at their cribs. [SEE SITE FOR PHOTOS]

- A big thanks goes out to Jeff K. from midwestbmx.net for the John Ludwick interview photos as well as these gems below... [SEE WEBSITEFOR PHOTOS]

- There's going to be a contest at the skatepark in Painesville, Ohio on August 5th. More info soon...

- Brian Shapiro, who is currently in Texas somewhere, embarked on a journey July 1st. Aboard his rickity old road bike, he left from Cleveland with Los Angeles as his destination. Check out his blog to read about his daily encounters and challenges along the way, as well as some photos from the trip.

- I'm going to start posting site updates, as well as other random updates here. So feel free to subscribe to the blog get the perspectivesbmx.com updates sent to you via myspace.

Here's a little news for the bmx kids in regards to PerspectivesBMX.com...

- As filming for "Goin' For Broke" continues the trailer is making its rounds around the internet. Ride BMX just posted it over at ridebmx.com along with some other good videos. And if you missed the bulletin a few days ago, the trailer can also be found at woozybmx.com.

- Kyle I is wants to take a solo trip across the country, or world, or wherever. I think he's still trying to plan it out. If you have an idea of where he should go, get on over to bmxboard and let him know.

- Biker Ben Stalets broke his ankle, he'll be out for a few weeks. Get well soon Ben!

 - The Rise Above Store in Lorain is holding their grand opening celebration on July 8th. Check their myspace for more info.

That is all for now, have a safe and fun fourth of july! By that I mean, don't blow your fingers off, but definitely blow something up if you can.
