Current mood:  blessed

“I saw you across a crowded room. Among all the others that were there, the lights seemed to shine down on you alone. I knew then I had to have you for my own. Willingly, you came with me to my home.

From the car, I carried you & threw the door. Looking at you, I admire your body, your well shaped legs, and breasts. Slowly I remove what wraps, around your body so tightly, fitting you like a glove, exposing your tender white skin. From your neck I remove your charms, and carry you off in my arms, to the warm water that awaits. The water cascades down your neck, flowing over your soft breasts then, making your legs glisten. Droplets of water cover your taut skin. My hands rub your body, mmmm running them through the beads of water, making them trickle down off your body.

I carry your still dripping body, to a laying place, so that I can put inside you what was well prepared to enter you before we even came through the door. You are ready now and so am I. I put a little in slowly at first, getting a feel for how much you can take in. I make you so hot for a very long time, until your sweet juices escape from within. Then I taste you, your skin is so soft and tender. You are so hot, you taste so good. You make me drool in anticipation.

"Oh yes", I say to you …..
… I must say Grace "Thank God for Butterball turkey.... Amen"

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Truly be grateful for all you have. As little as it may seem, or as big and overwhelming as it may seem - you mean the world to somebody and they to you! Every moment of our lives is a gift. Enjoy!

Well, if this past weekend’s party bus had anything to do with the Packer’s demolishing of the Dallas Cowboys, obviously we need to do this more often. Thanks to all the party-goers for an unbelievable Sunday Funday!

On a more serious note, all of us being music lovers, should be moved by this story. I heard about it on WTMJ and had to do a bit of research on it. This is about the healing properties of music and an organization called “Guitars For Vets” or G4V (http://www.guitarsforvets.org/home.html). This is directly from the website and explains the guts of this program:

‘In May of 2007 Patrick Nettesheim was teaching Dan Van Buskirk his guitar lesson when they started chatting about how much playing the guitar has helped Dan manage his Vietnam born PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder).  Dan felt that it gave him focus and a great sense of happiness.  They speculated that other Vets with PTSD might benefit from this meditation in motion.

Great idea!  It was then that Pat told Dan a story about an entire song that he had recently composed while lying down with his eyes closed.  The relevance of this was, that even injured Vets who could not sit up, might learn how to play the guitar and find joy in it.  Dan then said something to the order of “It would be really powerful if we
could get some guitars for these men and women.”  And then Pat simply countered with, “Why don’t we start an organization called Guitars for Vets? Its the healing power of music in the hands of heroes.”  They did.

Music can heal and bring all of us together. Happy birthday to a band that has brought sooo many people together over the years. I am proud to now be a part of this …

You gotta swim
Swim for your life
Swim for the music that saves you
When you're not so sure you'll survive

Current mood:  inquisitive

Did you hear that Courtney Love is being sued by a fashion designer for slamming the woman on Twitter? The suit claims that after a disagreement over what Love should pay the fashion designer for the clothes she designed, Love posted derogatory and false comments about the designer. Among them that she had a "history of dealing cocaine". Hmmmmm, I wonder how Courtney knows that?!

I’m not sure how I feel about this. I think you’ve got what appears to be a  pretty good case of libel (it’s like slander only written words instead of spoken). On the other hand, isn’t any publicity “good” publicity? I don’t know, just putting it out there.  Maybe this chick should have saved the good blow for Courtney. Thoughts?

I wasn't on the bus that was bodypassing I was on the bus where there were passed out bodies. A couple of hangovers and sick days were cashed in on. I still went to work. I definitely contracted the brown bottle flu, It took about eight ibuprofen and four bottles of Gatorade to rebound but things are looking up.

Current mood:  sad
Nearly a week after the Fort Hood tragedy, I am still flabbergasted when thinking about this.  40+ people either dead or hospitalized when a shooting takes place on our own turf.
On one of our finest military bases.

By one of our own soldiers.  A man trained by us for us.

My condolences go out to the families of the soldiers who lost their lives.  And I wish the best recovery for those still alive and recuperating.

Will we ever get the facts about this sad disaster at Fort Hood? Unfortunately, we only know what we are told and what the government wants to share with us.  We can speculate.  We can draw our own conclusions. However, the victims and their families deserve to know the truth and details.

Now that football season is spiraling out of control, any baseball fans out there? I mean 19th century baseball fans?

Baseball has long been America’s pastime, but televised games and the major league hoopla make it difficult to imagine what the origins of baseball were really like. What originally started as a small-scale hobby, vintage baseball has become one of the fastest growing sports in the country, with more than 225 clubs in 32 states. Milwaukee has its own vintage team, The Milwaukee Cream Citys. Other Wisconsin teams include; Eagle Diamonds, Milwaukee Grays and Greenbush Dead Citys - all members of the 19th-Century Base Ball Clubs of Wisconsin.

While a ball and bat are used, vintage baseball is very different from the current Major Leagues.  Players wear historically accurate uniforms, use fat-handled bats and lemon peel-stitched balls.  There are no strike zones, no one wears gloves, and if the ball bounces just once before being caught, the batter is out.

Even the lingo and the attitude of the game are different in vintage baseball. There is no taunting, the umpire is called “Sir,” and nearly everything has a different name.  A ball is an “apple or onion,” a bat an “ash, willow or timber.”  The batter is a “striker,” the catcher “behind,” a fly ball a “cloud hunter” and the pitcher a “hurler.”

No commercials, no endorsements and a full game only takes an hour! Anyway, you get the picture. I haven’t seen a game yet, but sounds like a blast if you like a blast from the past … Rumor has it, it’s an exhilarating hour for any age, and everyone leaves with a smile after seeing a little piece of history played out before their eyes.

I hear the crowd right now, cheering, “Huzzah!”  …

If you fast-forward to the last few minutes (23:50) of this Prep’s Plus episode, Tim Muma, yes MUMA, does an AWESOME report on this rising hobby.

If you have any views or opinions on the religion, Christmas holidays, how we all celebrate our diverse beliefs and how ridiculous some PC mindsets can be, I thought this was a priceless, Ben Stein, piece of work to put that all in perspective. The full transcript, and then some, is here http://www.dailypaul.com/node/74209 his work here, he also quotes Billy Graham's daughter, Anne Graham, who answered the age old question, why do bad things happen if there is a God:

In“Jane Clayson asked her 'How could God let something like this happen?' (regarding hurricane Katrina)…..

… she said, 'I believe God is deeply saddened by this, just as we are, but for years we've been telling God to get out of our schools, to get out of our government and to get out of our lives. And being the gentleman He is, I believe He has calmly backed out. How can we expect God to give us His blessing and His protection if we demand He leave us alone?'"

Right or wrong, it is an interesting view, and just some good food for thought …. As another crazy holiday season approaches.

Current mood:  rebellious

Here we go again….

The Brett Favre hoopla is once again taking over our state and I’ve never seen one man cause such emotional chaos amongst my fellow Wisconsinites.  As Sunday draws near, we’ll once again be overloaded with the media hype.  I am doing my best to once again stay away from TV, to listen to independent radio, stay focused on life and not get caught up in it.

That said, I’d like to offer the following guidelines as we approach the Favre-Bowl.  Whether you love him or hate him, this advice may add a few years to your life.

  • Brett Favre will make $1,000,000 this Sunday - if you combine salary and endorsements.
  • Whether the Vikings win or lose, Brett Favre does not really care about you or me.  As a matter of fact, he probably didn’t care about us when he was a Packer or a Jet.  If you think otherwise, you are delusional.
  • We need to stop worshipping these false gods.  It’s only football.

That said, GO PACK!!
