Due to the combined efforts of Rik at Tor Leisure and Ross at Glastonbury Radio I found myself last week practising a set for an awards ceremony, complete with an 80s superstar in attendance, Carol Decker from T'Pau (a band I remember with great affection).
Myself and Graham Lucas (Fuzzy Fezhead, I beleive, he is called in his other existence) mused over what to play. "Bring your daughter to the slaughter" seemed a bit extreme, and we couldn't figure out the chords to "God Save the Queen" (the Sex Pistols version, as opposed to the one that was played in Beijing a reasurring lot the last few weeks) so we settled for:
- Combine Harvester
- Hallejujah
- Stand By Me
- I Can See Clearly (now the rain has gone)
- Responsibility
- What a Wonderful World
- La Bamba
A mini set, but pretty impressive considering it'd only been 2-3 days since we first played together.
Thanks to Graham for being my buddy in this venture.
Audio will be uploaded shortly.
Also thanks to
Ross for giving us the opportunity.
