Current mood: accomplished
these are two funny recordings. one from last year (christopher) with some nice equipment but without much inspiration, and one from ages and ages ago (us guys like) with one mic, a really old beaten up drum kit, no interface but plenty of apple tango.
enjoy at your peril

I'm playing loads of gigs at the moment, another one tonight in Hackney (Hackney, you crazy man)
I think I'm getting better at the whole playing live thing. I've developed a style where I drink probably about 2 pints or two glasses of red wine and then the time flies by. I try my best to incorporate the audience every part of the way with silly comments.
If you have a silly lyric why not give a wry smile.

why does every version of silent night have to have a ghastly 4 3 in the final cadence. What's wrong with a perfect cadence?
I can feel it coming everytime and it never fails to make me phyically sick.

I've got a couple of songs in the drain-pipe. There seems to be a couple of elm leaves blocking them right now but with a little persuasion they'll come gushing out.

Current mood: melancholy
I like songs that are really really sad. And one such song is that one from Oh Brother Where Art Thou; I am weary let me rest . It's about dying. I'm not some weird goth type who is obsessed with death, but in terms of ultimate melancholy I don't think anything beats the prospect, or worse still, the certainty of death.
Oh and also I love 2 become 1 by the Spice girls, especially the lyric "boys and girls go good together"
its all good

Current mood: melancholy
I just got back from San Diego, where I had a fantastic time with Jenn. I really don't want to be in England right now. I'd even miss out the World Cup if I could go back there right now.
Anyway I bought a little bit of an expensive guitar out there and will be testing it out in my forthcoming concerts. Check my events list.
Also expect some new songs to be added to my profile, I've got one written with references to Mighty Ducks 2. How exciting is that! Well I still have to record it. So not that exciting I guess.
I had a song played on Radio Wales, on the Bethan Elfyn/ Adam Walton show. Not that anyone is interested, but I was pretty excited. Yeah so watch out Wales here comes the Haugenator (actually my brother is really the Haugenator, I'm much too pathetic for that kind of title)
