I'm completely addicted. It features the amazing Oya Alli, bellydancing, some good friends on stringed instruments (Marika Hughes, cello; Claudia Chopek, viola; Andrew Hall, bass) and of course myself and Brad!

Shot on location at Hoboken Recorders by Jake Sauerbrey and Co. it is our first (and definitely NOT the last!) offering. Now we can tickle your eyeholes as well as your earholes!!! :)

I know why I love him

The challenge is frankly riveting and I am thankful to know such a complex creature so intimately

He is like a good dream when I have been awakened suddenly

Yet whether or not he does in the form I just enjoyed
He is always there in some form or another

It's been a week since our friend passed away. I haven't written or really talked about it much. I guess I've felt like somehow I don't have the right to be upset about it because I didn't know him that well and because death isn't necessarily a bad place to be. It only sucks for the people you leave behind.

Today the sadness won't let me go. And somehow even now I feel selfish for being as sad as I am.

The sudden and maddeningly senselessness of being in the wrong place at the wrong time fucks me up. How family and friends are suffering because one random driver made a poorly calculated left turn on a busy street. How just as suddenly any of my loved ones can be coldly ripped away from me in a similar fashion. How little time we have. How little time we have. How little time we have. How very little time we have. All of this is fucking me up.

It really makes me want to live life not only fully but fully in the present. But this thing of planning for the future is tricky. On the one hand (says the left brain) it's very necessary to have goals and ideas and, yes, even plans. But on the other hand (says the right), nothing exists except this. very. moment. period. All the things you think you know about what's coming up for you: None are guaranteed.

Below is a film that Jesse made. I'm just so sorry that this beautiful, talented, Good, young man is dead. But I intend to take these realizations to heart. I honor him by learning the lessons and living life accordingly. It's all I can do.



Rest in peace Jesse. I mean this from the bottom of my heart: Thank You.
