I will never delete the beloved home of my first blog, but I am wondering....do any of you still use myspace?  Facebook and Twitter have become the top social networking sites.  I have accounts at a host of others including plurk, propeller, and even yazzam (who names these things?)

Even more interesting to me, is that I used to have a lot of interaction when I wrote my blog here on myspace.  Once I moved it over to the SGR site, the hits and the comments dropped off....  I'm trying to understand why this happened and how to keep in touch.

To all of my longtime myspace blog readers, I have two questions that would REALLY help me out.  It will only take 60 seconds or so to answer these two questions:

1. do you still read the blog on the new site, or do you just read it when you get a notification from myspace that I posted here?

2. how do you typically access myspace?  At home or on a mobile phone app?

This kind of long, and unfortunately pretty deeply woven web of lies, carelessness, and ego that spans back several months. 

A few months ago, my friend came to me asking for advice.  She started having some problems "down there."  Since she doesn't have insurance, she went to Planned Parenthood and had her first Pap smear in several years.  It came back positive for cervical cancer. 

Did you know that almost half of the population is a carrier of the HPV virus! This fact alone had me blazing the internet for ALL the information I could find on HPV.  It's astonishing how easy this disease is to transmit.   Men show have comparatively NO risk of symptoms, but are carriers and spread it quite easily.  Although there are thousands of HPV virus strains that can cause genital warts (of which my friend did not have) there are only 15 strains that lead to cervical cancer.

Now, the plot thickens.

A few weeks later, her ex-boyfriend starting dating another girl I know.  I kept my mouth shut because it was none of my business.  Lo and behold, she tested positive for HPV and another STD during her annual pap.

Now, this same guy is dating a THIRD girl I know.  She told me they had unprotected sex a few nights ago.  I know that she doesn't have health insurance.  I don't know how often she gets a well-woman exam.

I already reamed the guy for having unprotected casual sex, not getting tested himself, and for not telling his current and past partners that he is a carrier of one cancer causing (and god knows how many other STDs) and they should go get checked. When I asked a guy friend of mine his opinion, he said "The definition of skanky is knowingly spreading STDs and not doing anything about it." 

Should I keep my mouth shut?  The last time I minded my own business someone got sick.  If it was a cold or something stupid, I'd be quiet.  However, women can become sterile if they don't get the proper health care, and its almost always TOO LATE by the time you find out you have an STD.
