YOU DEFINE YOUR PERSONA and that’s final.
YOU GET OUT OF IT EVERYTHING YOU INVEST if you do it right.

Web 3.0 - a concept that is unfolding right before your eyes. What it means to me is a global SHARE, with sites like Facebook and Twitter paving the way by opening their doors.
Lets take this little Wordpress site here at bakermedia.com. It has a detached homepage and a free skin for the 2nd tier pages with content that was literally thrown together… so what kind of force is this? Well let me explain what happens with I hit submit on a new post (news, event, article, update)…
Upon PUBLISHING here this blog post will get published to my GLOBAL status update, with a link back to this blog post and post a Myspace blog, Facebook note (on profile and fan page) and start a vbulletin forum thread. Status appearing on Twitter (4000+), Facebook (6000+), Myspace (95,000+), AIM, Linkedin (1000+), bakermedia and bakerradio (95,000+). Total instant eyes is many thousands, total reach is infinite!
Forum threads/topics/replies can now be shared with my facebook community via facebook connect and I have my members sharing my news via their news feeds in facebook while never having to log in to my site/leave facebook and can comment on my site with their facebook username and password.
Tweets people like get retweeted, and sent around like wildfire, Pictures we post in our profiles get 100’s and 100’s of comments that all appear in 1000’s of friends news feeds, bulletins get sent to myspace friends, videos shared on Youtube are published as activity to Facebook, twitter, myspace… and none of it is MANUAL anymore. One shot sets it off in any direction and that can be initiated via a phone call to an email or an IM.. there’s even a service that will take a voice phone call and convert it to text, and link the text and THEN publish that for FREE!
BAHHH! WHO CARES!
Well corporations, entertainers, venues, authors, local business and even people in distant lands care… and how it will affect each one is 100% unique and so is the way in which they will use it. An entertainer likes to entertain and really likes when people pay for that entertainment. The more eyes on them the more people will pay something, somewhere to see or hear that entertainer. the same can be said about ANY company… I mean they all have an agenda to sell you something!@ Hell, I’m writing this post so someone out there will go DUHHH this is what I need and HIRE US!
When we suggest to people to get their business everywhere… Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, internal forums/communities, podcasts, newsletters and email lists and so on.. the whole package… many of them (most actually) ask why on earth would we put ourselves on FACEBOOK or MYSPACE or TWITTER or YOUTUBE and are super skeptical. The answer is this simple: SEVERAL HUNDRED MILLION PEOPLE are on these sites… and not putting yourself out there is just plain silly. I don’t care what you are selling, with that many people assembled there are customers for everyone!
The huge trick is web presence establishment… it’s like planting a garden from seed. You plant this and you plant that and some of the plants grow out of control, some moderately and some die off. SAME THING applies to social networks.
There is a chance Facebook will die off in 6 months, but there is a better chance that it will stay put and even though Myspace used to be the dominating force and is no longer, it MAY just make a comeback and all of us that have a massive presence there will be able to resurrect that presence. You have to remain fluid and open and the trick to not spreading yourself too thin is automation of posting via all of the open doors created by the new wave of web applications.
These social networks also take the power away from Google and Yahoo searches.. I mean who cares if I come up on the first page of a Yahoo search for “web designer” when I have the ability to tell a couple hundred thousand people that already know my name a message like this! I heard a great quote that sums this up “It’s not who you know but who knows you” (oh and that’s part bullshit because I really love knowing a ton of the right people too
We are in web 2.x right now.. I’ll say 2.7.8… doing about 70mph. “When this thing hits 88mph, you’re gonna see some serious shit!”
We have implemented all or parts of this for the following entertainers:
