hi.
so billy (my mate) and i went up to SAC for the weekend to chill out in the DOWNTOWN area and bike the DELTA. i spent most of my twenties up there -- living just a few blocks from the capital.
DOWNTOWN is pretty coolio because it has so many freakin' trees. the streets are wide and lined with these super big old leafy ones. just like you see in movies.
anyway when we go up there we usually take our bikes and bike everywhere. YAY! plus since it's so freakin' warm we end up SWIMMING a lot too. which i don't do as much as i would like in the bay area. SUPER-YAY!
my favorite thing there is the summer evenings. after it cools off a bit, everyone comes out to chill at the outdoor cafes and bars. i love outdoor cultures. where i live now (SF area) tends to have more of an indoor culture. it can get hella windy and chilly here at times.
while up there, we went to this super-coolio OLD SCHOOL record shop. one of my old housemates use to work there back in the day. it's called THE BEAT! it's like walking back in time when i go there. they even still have some of the 80's posters up. their selection of RECORDS, CDS, and even CASSETTE tapes is insane.
don't get me wrong i love, love my little pod, but sometimes it's more about the low tech, sentimental quality... plus my GOLF still has a cassette player so i was going crazy digging thru their dirt cheap used selection. i know, i know that i'm hella dating myself. but if you think that's old, i can even remember my push down 8-TRACK player from the 70's. it looked just like this:

so back to my twenties flashback...
while i was crazy digging, i found a MORRISSEY tape that i played to death back then... remember KILL UNCLE? i have to say that i don't remember it being so freakin' miserable. i mean MORRISSEY is a miserable F*CK... but this one was particularly MESSED. i have to admit though, i still do love: "sing your life", "our frank" and "there's a place in hell for me and my friends". he he he.
okay got to get to work.
talk more later.

super
