This is the review of the new album in the Sunday Express sunday newspaper on October 12th 2008.....Review by Martin Townsend

" Skin of the Earth" 4 stars

Nauendorf has been one of the great dark-horse delights of American music in the past couple of years. As with his superb debut, The Rattling Wheel, much of this second album is built round the hypnotic delights of his loose, free-wheeling blues guitar whether he's playing rockabilly, as on Michelle, or the fast-picking folk of Everyone's Got A Plan.

Derrin first went to Holland in 2001 and back then he was still then finding his feet as and artist. 2008 saw him return after many thousands of miles and three more albums.... and whilst only a short tour, he sold out of the albums he could carry!!!........ also was featured on Tros music Cafe, a national radio live broadcast, played some great gigs and little festivals, and is also playing the Big Rivers Festival this year late July, and is featured and on the cover of Gitaar Plus magazine june edition!!! Click on Derrin's myspace photos to see the cover.

Many thanks to the folks in Holland for their support!!!!

Derrin is back for the Big Rivers festival on both July 18th and 19th.

He will also return in November to promote his new album " Skin of the earth ".

Dates will be listed soon....

Cambridge University press are publishing Derrin's lyrics in an English teaching Guide.  The author said "very intelligent lyrics"

Lyrics are.....

SHIPWRECKED

May be heavy,

May be cruel,

Be the hammer,

Your own tool.

Every new morning,

Belongs to me,

Leave the broken glass rain,

and the crippling stains,

and find a brand new Galilee.

We all keep making those same old yesterday's.

Better to be shipwrecked than never sail at all

Where everythings crazy,

the feeders feed,

every friction craves an addiction,

every voyeur holds a key.

There'll be no sailing,

in this company,

but I will sail to where safety failed, far into the unknown sea.

We all keep making those same old yesterday's.

Better to be shipwrecked than never sail at all.

Hey all,

The new album " The Rattling Wheel" I spotted on the shelf in HMV Oxford St, London a few days ago. I had my own section just next to Nazareth! LOL! There is a wide number of stores stocking it around the UK, but if it is not on the shelf in your closest store, it can be ordered at the shop.

It is also available through I-tunes, WH Smith and Woolworths.

Cheers to you all,

Derrin
