So we played a venue called Three Tons. Team Spider was the headlining band that night. I went to my non private practice room (restroom) to rehearsal my routine drumming warm ups. A lot of impaired people starred and said nice things like "I like your pants" or "Let me buy you a drink". Larry (the guy who hooked us up with the show) had his band play before us. They are called The Square Pegs. Very old school punk rock. Good shit. We finally got to play to a very enthusiastic crowd. Chris got married that night after our set to a chick named Emily who is already married to a woman (no seriously, she is). Chris's sobriety that night might be best illustrated by the fact that he had to find a piece of paper to remember his wife's name to read it to me. She is now referred to as Chris's Scottish wife, like Homer Simpson's Vegas wife. Later that night we drove 45 minutes back to Bob's house. I crashed. I have some pictures I'll post up another time.

Dear Mom

Yesterday we set out to Glasgow. We had a 6 hour drive and it was fun and by fun I mean boring. We played at The Spirit Bar with a band called The Murderburgers. Crawford, who is the bassist of Murderburger, showed us around town a bit and we went out to eat at a small diner/punk club. I learned that him and I both share the same love for alcoholic cider. He told me about a bottle of Buckfast that he recommended I should get: it's a wine with 15% alc! FIFTH TO THE TEEN TO THE PER TO THE CENT! for about 6 dollars, I mean 6 pounds. I can't wait to stop paying by the pound..haha by the pound. After we ate we got back to the venue and I went straight to the bathroom (which has recently become my practice room at all the venues) and unloaded my practice drum pad and sticks and had about 10 minutes of practicing. I normally rehearse for about 20 to 25 minutes before a show but the Scottish drunk guys were getting a little too fond of me and I wasn't diggin' it. At one point this one dude commented on my drumming, took a piss and then preceeded to shake my hand.....without washing his. I haven't washed my hands since. After our set, we loaded up the van and a freaky Polish guy came up to us: we could barely understand anything he was trying to say to us but when he sang...MAN! He sang like an angel. I have a video of him and Dave, who is now known as Juggy D, becoming friends. After the gig we headed down to Bob's house (a guy we met at the show). The two Murderburger brothers joined us.

Dear mom

Yesterday Team Spider played in Leicester at a club called The Shed. We then spent the night at the house of the singer from The Pink Blue Thingys. His name is Joe. Cool guy, offered spliffs...no hash there. I'm not that fond of hash though so it wasn't much of a loss. The entire band was treated like kings there. Great family, fed us, let us bathe and everything.

P.S. I'll post some videos soon Mom. Here are some random pics Mom.

Dear mom

July 29th 2007

My London experience so far has been full of many adventures. I know you are probably worried but I can assure you I'll be okay despite the fact the drinking age is 18 here. On my first arrival to London I rode my bike from the airport to about 3 and half miles into London…in the pouring rain. I mean POURING! I might as well have taken off my clothes and took a shower while I had the chance. We finally caught the Tube (subway) and took it another 2 miles in the city. We then biked to our final destination. After getting together with the band at Dave's friends house Nick, Chris, Ben and I went to a Pedro's Squat. Pedro treated us very nice and got us milk bread and eggs. He also gave us really good hash. It looked lika doggy poop. I also tried Ace Alcoholic Cider for the first time. 65 Pence got me 350 millimeter can of 7.5 alcoholic Cider. If it was a person, then I'd marry it.

Saturday we all met up at around 430 pm after Dave and I were separated from the rest of the band. Dave and I stayed at Nicks and the others stayed at Pedro's. We played our first show at The Underworld and then our second show that night at a Bike Messenger party. Everyone there was pretty much wasted. One of the guys that was running the show gave me FOUR drinking tickets! FOUR!!!! So I had my fare share of drinkage. Here in London at the Bike messenger shows they sometimes throw chairs at the bands as well as empty beer cans depending on how wasted they are. Xris was a victim and took a direct hit from a chair from a drunkard. Heck I'm sure they'll throw their bikes at us if they get that wasted. Till next mom!
