Category: Dreams and the Supernatural
I hope you've enjoyed the spam of videos in the last few days. As you might gather we had a lot of fun in the studio. But there was a darker side too, which was that we had to work and concentrate.

However we came through it and we're delighted to get 11 completed drum and bass (not drum'n'bass, mind) tracks out of it. They're sounding fantastic, and for that we should give special thanks to engineer Adrian Breakspear and his assistant Dan Goudie.

There is some footage left over, so if I get chance, I'll upload some of that. But mostly we're just going to relax over the festive season and recharge our batteries, ready to resume recording (guitar, violin, and singing) in January.

Happy Christmas!

A couple of clips of Gareth Moss recording bass for The Guilty Hands, with varying degrees of success.

On the whole the boy's done good though; we're just working through the 2 tracks in drop D tuning and then we'll be done for this session bar the backing-up and exporting and copying and tidying up and so on. Roll on guitar recording in January.

So we're recording the bass today. Martin Allan Grey thought that he'd take a video that exposed the difference in volume levels between the control room and the noise isolation room. This didn't work out due to the mic in his camera, but he did get a video that exposed his inability to open a door he's been going in and out of for 3 days now.

On a studio break, Paul Cox and Gareth Moss from Imperial College London's Department of Behavioural Anthropology discuss breasts and babies.

Oh, and the drums are finished, all 11 tracks! So we'll have time to do the bass tonight and tomorrow with a bit of luck.

OK so here's possibly quite a boring video. This one is just to prove that we are recording drums and not just messing around buying cheap food from Tesco.
