As fitting as possible with this release’s title, here were are coming at ya one more time with a quickness and a serious sickness.  The homie L(3) delivers a solid three track  banger of a debut solo E.P. in the form of “Rapid Fire Response”.  Before Bludclot was born I had gotten to know L(3) by way of a couple online communities focused and based on jungle music; first as a fan of yours truly (The Artbreaker here, to be clear) and secondly as a force to be reckoned with in the production realms of ragga jungle.  It was apparent by his very first samples that he had his head on straight in regards to no bullshit ragga jungle and breakbeat choppage.  Over the course of a few years he fine tuned his craft and developed a sound within the genre of ragga jungle that is both his own while displaying gimpses of homages and headnods to the masters.  Now, with the release of “Rapid Fire Response” after some collaborations with his crew Vinyl Pushas Sound System on More Recordings, as well as previous compilations here at Bludclot, he grabs hold of the spotlight for a second - or, rather, the spotlight grabs hold of him - and shows you true rudebwoy business!  Three tracks in total, this one is sure to make it’s way into the sets of DJs keeping it real and pulling no punnches.

Thanks for continued support and understanding as we tackle the hurdles laid before us here at Bludclot Recordings as of late, it means more than you know.  See our previous post about what's been going on and just extend the sentiment a little further and longer if you are looking for an explanation of what is what around here lately.  That said, some moves in a forward progression are being made and I am continually awed at the support for the vision of Bludclot by those involved and paying attention so far.  Love you all.

Now.  On to the goods...

Before Bludclot Recordings came into existence there was a glimmer of hope and a whole lot of plans for a Grindthieves.com related netlabel.  This release is what would have been the first one on that label.  Dating back to 2007 (and the beginning of that year, if memory serves), this one is full of tuff music, straight up.  Ragga jungle, Noise, Hardcore, Breakcore, Dancehall - all of it being tuff shit.  Some of  the material has seen release on other netlabels, while much of it has never seen even preview status online or otherwise.  Never the less, another piece to the Bludclot puzzle for those out there still trying to put it all together.  Check it.

As mentioned in our last update, the double CD compilation “Loose” has been delayed repeatedly but still remains at the forefront of our current drive and plans.  That said, we feel it unfortunate to refrain from releasing new material relevant to the Bludclot aim.  Consequently, we’ve decided to lace you with a brand new various artist compilation E.P.

Entitled “Carry On”, this 4 song various artist E.P. is meant to serve as a method of tying the listeners and supporters over until “Loose” drops.  Featuring four tracks of very different sounds that manage to work together as a whole remarkably well, “Carry On” is another piece of the Bludclot puzzle that should absolutely not be slept on.  sKuL brings us beautiful and atomspheric number, unsoundbwoy hits ya one time with a dope tune over his “Marvelous Pow Pow Riddim”, Ripclaw brings us a fresh take on a classic, and The Artbreaker brings his ruffneck ting.

Presented, as always, in 320kbps MP3 format for free download, we hope you’ll enjoy these tunes enough for repeated listening and inclusion in your DJ sets.

Maximum respect going out to all who continue to support our cause.  First and foremost, huge respect to the artists who’ve worked with Bludclot up to this point.  Huge bigups to Ragga Scum and Knowledge.  The Croaking Lizard crew gets props every time for consistently sharing the Bludclot sound.  Major thanks to everyone at Ragga-Jungle.com for tons of reasons and in tons of ways.  Last and definitely not least, maximum boost to everyone keeping their ear to the ground and their eye to the sky in regards to what Bludclot is trying to do.

New E.P., busters!  This is supposed to serve as a sort of supplement to my forthcoming release on Sociopath Recordings.
So, grab this bad boy and get prepared for what’s coming.  Some stupid
tracker junglecore bullshit.  Definitely best enjoyed with a cold
malted  beverage and a smoky head.

I am taking suggestions and ideas for stores/distros willing to stock the Bludclot comp when it’s it all wrapped up.  If you’ve got suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated!  Message or email (bludclot.recordings@gmail.com) me.

If you’re not an artist appearing on the comp and your suggestion stocks it, there’s a copy or two of the comp with your name on it at no charge.

If you’re an artist appearing on it and your suggestion stocks it, you enjoy further distribution of your namesake and music, as well as the Bludclot name and legacy (which is only going to grow, trust).

If you, yourself, are a distro/store and you contact me we can arrange increased portion of revenue for you for stocking it.

I’d prefer contacts with people as opposed to just website links, to ensure I reach a real live human being.

I’ve got a decent list going, some for  surely on board for stocking and some yet to reply back, but the more the merrier.
