Upcoming release in January 2010:

COPYKILL - Fucking Restless (Filled With Hate Records - 2010)
Monday, November 30, 2009
Good news for some, bad news for the most! Indeed, we decided to call it a day since we didn't want to handle the neverending line-up changes within the band anymore. We found an awesome replacement for our bassist and singer but after all that done, Jens was forced to leave the band due to the permant lack of time caused by his new job. It was a tough decision for us as you can imagine, but whatsoever... shit happens!

Some of you might have heard the we actually recorded a complete new full length album that is just missing the vocals. We don't know yet what to do with it. Maybe we will record the vocals some day and release it somewhere or put it online as a myspace release.... we will see about that!

We'd like to thank Allen and GoDownBelieving for still believing in us and everyone that supported us in one way or another and a big high-five to everyone who was part of the band sometime.

As always a band split-up results in new or sometimes old bands, nothing different here. Boris and Jogi focused on COPYKILL again, Hartmut is back with his melody-death band SYMBIONTIC and Jens might shift levers to NIGHT IN GALES again.

Nevertheless, Boris, Jogi, Hartmut and Niko are forging plans to create a new band in early 2010, so keep your eyes and ears open for that!

Last but not least we'd like to thank everyone that came out to one or more of our shows, we had a blast over the years and met great people and saw awesome places, shared stages and tour-busses with great bands. Thank you guys!

That's it... Deadsoil is dead!

Today my new bass guitar arrived....looks great....

After two full length releases and countless shows and tours Deadsoil parted ways with singer Friedrich Weber and bassist Andreas Schuessler.
Here is what Andreas says about his departure:

“After due consideration i came to the conclusion that it would be better for me to leave Deadsoil. It was in no way an easy decision! Since i joind the band in winter 2005 i can only look back on good times, i met so many awesome people and bands and had tons of fun being a part of the band.

Me parting ways with Deadsoil has in no way to do with any bandmember at all quite the contrary i feel bad about leaving and disappointing my friends but we felt the decision together that it would be better for me to stop.

The main reason for this decision is the huge distance i had to travel to get to the rehearsal room at least twice a month. From my house to the room and back its a distance of over 400 km for 2 hours of rehearsal... it turned out to be a big finacial burden lately. You know, if you are not 100% down with something anymore you should be honest with yourself and the people involved and pull the consequences.“

Also Friedrich Weber left the band due to personal and healthy reasons. Apperently his vocal chords suffered injury at one of his last shows with the band in Slovenia what permanently causes him pain when singing. Without going to deep into the details, this certainly was in no way a nice thing to decide but the band felt it was better to go different ways musically wise aswell.

The vocal duties are now being handled by Florian Velten, former singer of Machinemade God and the new man behind the four strings is Jogi Neumann, former bassist of Impure and Clobberin Time.

Its a good feeling to rehearse as a five piece band again and Jogi adds a total new feeling to the songs and Flo is already busy tracking his vocals on the new songs and it sounds brutal as fuck!
So it seems that the new album will be finished very soon! More news as they come!

We wish Friedi and Andy all the best for their future and we hope you welcome both new members as good as we did! We can..t wait to hit the stage again with the new lineup!

We will post some new song-snippets soon!

After years of abstinence we are proud to announce that we awoke COPYKILL from the dead.

We will start writing brand new material as soon as we have found a new rehearsal room. So if anybody knows a nice room in the area of Essen, do not hesitate to get in touch with us.

The line-up is:

Boris Pracht - guitars
Christian Mattheis - vocals
Stephan Winter - drums
Jogi Neumann - bass
Oliver Kaminski - guitar

As some of you may already know we will release a split CD with our long time friends in End of Days in spring 2009.

If anybody is interested in booking shows for COPYKILL in 2009 feel free to contact us via myspace.com/copykill or at copykill08@googlemail.com!

We are really looking forward to meet old and especially new friends.

I am proud to be officially endorsed by Spector basses. If you ever get the chance, check out their instruments.

Actually I am using a Spector Rebop 4 (black cherry burst) and a Spector Euro 5 (poplar burl).

My new Rebop 5 DLX FM (white gloss) will arrive in the middle of December this year! I am really looking forward to have it in my hands!
