Hi

As you can see our band is being neglected right now, this is down to the fact that we are all away at UNI now, doing gigs and recording and stuff is a lot harder to do when you're hours away from each other. It sucks.

Anyway we haven't really discussed it yet but it's gonna happen! You guessed it, A MARQUEE GIG. We need to book it and stuff but it will probs be in the 2 weeks leading up to Christmas as that is some of the only time we have off. So look forward to that.

On the recordings front, we are DEAD. Living in little rooms with wafer thin walls surrounded by 100's of other people doesn't bode well with band practices and recording but I have posted this little number that was done just before we left. It's not an official Cold Hands song and I'm not sure if the others like it or not but I get frustrated not being able to record and post songs so I thought I'd just put it up for your listening/downloading pleasure if ya likes it:

Cheers to everyone who came down and the bands that played!
 HOPE YOU HAD A GOOD TIME! 
We had a few fuck ups during our set but I guess GOD wanted it that way. 
Good Cold Hands gig's just aren't aloud at The Marquee!

We're hopefully gonna organize a nice lil reunion gig(probably at the marquee like we always do) for near Christmas time when we all get back from UNI! so look forward to that I guess and also if you're in the Norwich area or you like us then come see us support HEALTH at Norwich Arts Centre on October 3rd for TWEE OFF! fest.

The EP is now released, probably gonna put a couple of tracks up from it on the player.

Our EP release date is going to be on the 9TH SEPTEMBER.

It's going to be released via MILKBAR RECORDS limited style with like a 100 CD's and even more limited 20-30 tapes. The tapes will probably cost cheaper so if you want it nice and cheap then get em early and on tape. The tape is maybe gonna have an extra track on too.

To coincide with releasing our EP we are having a massive gig at THE MARQUEE in Norwich. There's gonna be about 7 bands playing hopefully. The bands that are confirmed so far are:

COLD HANDS
TAWNY OWL
LUNAIRE
MAGPIED
LUCY BURNS
(Order for gig TBC)

We're hopefully gonna have Queen's English, Slim Limbs and maybe My Boy(Nelly) these are to be confirmed though.

The gig is also one of the last major ones before everyone goes off to uni so even more reason to come along and get pissed. Probably go out afterwards too.

Hey

We have finally managed to organize ourselves, we have planned to spend the next week or two recording all our new songs for the EP and finishing off others that are already recorded. It's gonna be a good EP cause its like at that point where If I wasn't in Cold Hands I would still listen to it even if everyone else thinks its gash. 
It's gonna have about 7 maybe 8 songs on it I think, most of them are going to be new ones. Expect some Garage, Lo-Fi, Pop, Psych, punk all mashed in together I guess. 

Wouldn't wanna give an exact date but probably late August will be the release date via MILKBAR RECORDS with a Marquee gig to celebrate. 

Also on other news our good friends and bloody great tune makers My Boy/My Girl have decided to call it a day. I think Nelly's gonna go onto form some other musical projects maybe solo or in a band (G.G.C.S.O.M.B) so keep an eye out for that! R.I.P My Boy/My Girl.

We shall be playing at this years LATITUDE FESTIVAL!

We will be on the IN THE WOODS stage on Friday and Saturday somewhere in between 12-4pm.

Hey!

We have a gig next week on April 16th with The Kabeedies as part of their Red, White and Blue gigs. Its at the B2 and they will be celebrating the release of their new single 'Little Brains'. We will be playing on the Blue day which is the 16th. Another reason to come on down is because this is our last gig for a while as Cameron will be going off to travel around europe for a couple of months. Cold Hands shall reside into Hibernation.

I tend to do this reguarly so why not today. CHECK OUT WWW.MYSPACE.COM/PENSPENSPENIS. They are called PENS and they make trashy punk pop. A bit like Wavves.
It's good fun.
