Last night in London there was a group of noise artists performing at the Foundry to a group of intelligent noise loving people. Great turn out to see some amazing acts.
My set was short and to the point. sticking guitar strings into circuit boards of tape machines playing drone trying my best to make it sound like burning.
Two brothers played electronic feedback noise with voice added through a miked up cowbell... very nice
Milch Grand played some gorgeous music that took us all for a turn ... Karen BeepBeep on the vibraphone was fantastic as well as the guy on bass clarinet who could make it sound like nails against a chalk board. Jussi played his guitar on the table like a delicate zither.... fantastic sounds throughout.
Blood Stereo attacked us with a barrage of sonic death (which I've become a huge fan of) manipulating tape, violin and voice.
the Bohman Bros. gave us a uniquely organic show that included playing map books by blowing through them and reading random passages until their breath ran out and their faces started turning purple....beautiful indeed.
Watch out for Green Mist to play along with Decaer Pinga in New York at the No Fun festival in March of 2005
