hey ho. Welcome to beautiful, snowy London, 2009.  It's all in the air - I've started a restaurant in my front room (as featured in the Guardian already - the TV series is on it's way), and they came from the stars i saw them have gone and replaced our sax player with...a GUITARIST!  His name is Taishi Nagasaka, and we're hoping that if you're in London this friday you'll come along to 93 Feet East and cheer him on, not to mention the fact (?) that our Moon Song single is finally coming out next Monday,  February the 9th...OH!  only 6 months late...But it does have remixes from MUNGOLIAN JETSET, HOLY GHOST, THE KING OF TOWN, and SERGE SANTIAGO.

and HERE is the Video if you've still not had the pleasure...a prize if you can email us with the names all of our lunar friends.

After That we are DJing at CLUB PACIFIC on Friday Feb the 14th from 8 til 5 am (which is Free, and as fun and friendly a club as you're likely to find) and then have a show at the SECRET GARDEN VALENTINE'S BALL on February the 14th. We can't invite you as it was sold out before they asked us to play, but if you're lucky enough to got tickets, maybe we'll get a chance for a snog.   And at the end of the Month - MOSCOW AWAITS US!  Please let your Muscovite friends know!

Hope you're all well and cozy and that 2009 is a good one for you and yours

See you soon people of Earth - from the stars xx xxx

For our final show of the year at 93 Feet East, Brick Lane, 7 til 10.30 and FREE to get in...

here they are:

AJ HOLMES will be DJing for us in the Pink Bar!

and on stage...

Hereldeduke
http://www.myspace.com/hereldeduke
On first play, you would be forgiven for mistaking Hereldeduke's debut album Country Bumpin for a new collaboration between Ian Brown, Timbaland and the Beta Band. The first single from the album 'Shudda' was 'Record Of The Week' on The Radcliffe&Maconie Show on BBC Radio 2, voted for by listeners, Shudda won the votes beating The Young Knives, Bon Iver and the The Chap. Shudda also featured on The Shaun Keaveny Breakfast Show on BBC 6 Music where Brown was interviewed twice in a week.

To Arms Etc
http://www.myspace.com/toarmsetc
Relatively new but already signed to Bronzerat Records, home of Seasick Steve and the lovely Trost, To Arms Etc produce a wonderfully euphoric and scattered space age vista...

hey ho.

they came from the stars are taking some time out of playing shows for a few months whilst we make a new record (and spanky drops a small bass player) (or tape loop freak, let's not be presumptious). We got a new new record coming our properly in mid october (Moon Song from the album, which is still available in all good record shops, but selling out FAST if you haven't got yours yet), but meanwhile if you want to get your last fix of one of our celebratory live shows in a small enough venue to hold our egos in check, you might want to pop along to:

The roundhouse, chalk farm: Wednesday the 20th of August, supporting WARP Records PIVOT
or
Cargo, shoreditch: Friday the 23rd of august, headlining the fantastic Go!Zilla

both of these shows promise to be ace, but arent they always?

so tonight is the night that the people at CERN are switching on the LARGE HADRON COLLIDER

Midnight. maybe the world will become Strange Matter. Maybe it will create small black holes that will evaporate again in a trillionth of a second. Maybe a new universe will be created. Maybe SCIENCE will be advanced and the black holes in human knowledge will be plugged and maybe these will provide the seeds of future technological advancements will further advance the human condition, or at least provide us with more advanced forms of mobile phone technology.

But one thing is for certain...

So maybe tonight at midnight wil actually be TWENTY-FIVE TO SIX

So now i'm just about over the exhaustion that has come with co-piloting the shoot for our group's second pop video. For those of you that haven't seen the first, have a looksee here

We've gone way over budget again, of course, but i think it's been worth it because this time not only will it be funny/creative/sexy/soulful/generally brilliant, and a million times better than your average big budget shitsplats full of serious haircuts and precious little else, but it also has something they're all calling "production values" thanks in no small part to our very brilliant D.O.P. Michael Frantzis

I'd like to take some time out here to also thank all of the following that have made the story so far possible:
the lovely Sophie for all her help with the set, the moon, and beautful planets

the utterley incomparable Claudia Dufe, 8 months pregnant, for driving all the gear all over london and then keeping us all reasonably glisten-free and glamourous under the lights

Tom(camera assistant), Elliot (swat team) & Carolina (gaffer) for their preposterous amounts of energy, enthusiasm, giggling, and canned air gags

Paul Giovanni, blogger extraordinaire, always in the right place at the right time (twenty five to six)

Conrad Olende, our lucky star and stand-in drummer for delivering another priceless performance even after being awake from 5am and doing an 8-hour shift before he even arrived at ours for a further ELEVEN HOURS!

Bex Peczek for doing all the ironing, catering, various other bits and bobs, and managing to stay awake and glamourous as she operated the tape and smoke machines way past her usual bedtime

Harp player, songstress and angel Serafina Steer, arriving on set pissed up and demanding to be in the video at EXACTLY the right moment.

Jono, Stephen, Jason and all the funny and uber-creative people at Utrophia for their help, enthiasm, and letting us takeover their project space for a couple of days.

George Butler, for being George Butler.

Last, and most - Rachel 'Third Eye' Martinez -Our Producer & Director without whose relentlessness, gorgeousness, and brilliance none of this would even have been thinkable.

here are a couple of pics to tease you all, courtesy the Blingin' Blog of the aformentioned Paul Giovanni
