Greetings everyone. Plans change and so it is with a mixture of sadness and joy that I write this message. Right now I am supposed to be in South America, rocking the good people down there but due to some issues with a couple of our guys passports not being ready in time (you'd be amazed at the hoops and hurdles you have to jump through and over to get a visa to go to Brazil), we are still stateside. So that's a bummer. The upshot is that we get to spend Thanksgiving at home with our families, which is a nice silver lining on this otherwise dark cloud, so that's kind of cool. But it leaves us with a little too much down time so what do I do? I fill it! That's right. I have a couple of solo shows lined up right now - one is at the fabulous Alibi room in beautiful San Diego the night before Thanksgiving, Wednesday the 25th of November! It should be a great night, I think I'll be doing a couple of sets so come on out and let me know what you wanna hear, I'll see what I can do for ya... The other show is going to be on December 2nd in my hometown of Seattle at the High Dive in the wonderful Fremont neighborhood for all my Northwest homies. So don't miss that one if'n you're in that neck of the woods. I'm also working on getting another show up in the Northwest sometime soon so keep an eye out on the website for an update regarding that.
And speaking of a change in plans, you may have noticed that these emails are being delivered to you via a new server. In the words of Martha Stewart, it's a good thing. We've partnered up with the good folks at Reverb Nation to help improve our service to you. One of the many good things Reverb Nation can do is help us set up a street team, which is a great way for you to get involved in spreading the word about the Greatest Rock-N-Roll Band In The World. So don't be shy, change can be good! It most certainly is in this instance.
Be sure to check out our new webstore as well, we've parted ways with MusicToday so take advantage of the new low shipping rates and get yourself some classic Supersuckers gear - we just restocked some old favorites in there, so come on and getcha some!
Well, I hope you have a great Thanksgiving and we'll be seeing you in December out there on the road again...
Rawkously Yours,
Eddie Spaghetti

The Supersuckers - 20th Anniversary Show DVD
Live at The Showbox in Seattle
November 29, 2008 Greetings from Spaghetti manor. I
am here enjoying a very short family downtime, before we head out on
the road again. Soaking up the new smiles from Elvis and skateboarding
with Quattro. This next tour is keeping me from the family for
Thanksgiving , so we are having a little holiday action tomorrow, which
I couldn't be more excited about. Then on Friday morning, bright and
early, I will be flying to Denver to start this rock n' roll machine
all over again.
Our
last time in Denver was quite eventful, with one of our guys getting
clocked in the skull with a beer bottle. I'm guessing he was talking a
little bit of shit to some girl at the bar and she no likey. So that
was cool. He's okay and he promises not to get himself in that mess
again. Just in case, you should definitely come out to catch that
action, you never know what rowdy mayhem will ensue at a Supersuckers
show.
Speaking of
rowdy mayhem, our DVD is finally here. We recorded our 20th anniversary
show last November here in Seattle at the beautiful Showbox and the DVD
captures the band in all of it's stinky glory. It's a chronological
cruise through all the phases of the Supersuckers history. It's an
awesome set from an awesome night.
Another
reason to come out and see us live (as if you need one) is the fact
that we finally got some of our old catalog integrated back into our
set... like the lawn, sometimes it takes a while to get shit done. Have
no fear, we are getting shit done.
We
are working on songs for our next rock record, I have some ass kickers
coming from the quarry and I can't wait to get into the studio, put
this shit on tape.
So
come on out and be someone, make yourself known and see us off to South
America in style, as we cruise down the coast in the big white
Econoline.
See you on the road,
Eddie Spaghetti, 11/04/09

Just a quick word to touch on the recent developments here in Supersuckers land. You may or may not have heard that the amazing Mr. Rontrose Heathman has left the band. Well this is unfortunately true. He has decided to finally cut himself loose from the grind that this band can be and while we are sad to see him go, we wish him all the best in whatever it is he decides to do. We hope he finds the happiness that has eluded him over the last couple of years. That said, the show must roll on, and roll on it will! We have recruited the same fella who did such an awesome job when Ron took an extended hiatus from the band seven years ago, the incredible Mr. Marty Chandler to fill in for now, and while we all know that filling the big shoes of Rontrose is a tough gig, we feel that Marty is up for the challenge. He's a real monster on the guitar and he's bringing some much needed fresh air to the 'Suckers live show. He's probably at home right now, cramming as many of our songs into his head and his fingers as is humanly possible. I sent him an impossibly long list of new songs to learn so we can hopefully get to mixing up our set list a little more than we have been lately.
So come on out to the shows and get to know Marty. We are certain that, while we'll all miss Ron, this new chapter in the ongoing saga that is the story of the Supersuckers will be an awesome one.
Come and get rocked! -Eddie Spaghetti, Oct 11, 2009

So, we've arrived and after a super long travel day (How's 31 hours, tip to tail, grab ya?), we've finally had a really long sleep (10 hours, yay!) and we're toolin' down the Autobahn (doin' a cool 90 mph!) toward the first show in Berlin tonight. JD at the wheel, Quattro in the back seat playing his Nintendo DS and me, doing some assisted navigating with a little help from our good friend, the GPS system who we call "Geeps". Geeps has been a real help so far, he almost got us right to the hotel we had booked for last night, just one wrong turn away is all, so, not bad. Not bad at all. Right now he's telling us we have about 260 more miles to go until our next maneuver so I thought I'd grab a moment to update you all on our whereabouts. In fact if you really want to stay in touch with what the Spaghetti Family is up to then you should check out the lovely Ms. JD's tour blog as she is much more likely to keep up on it than I am. You can check that out here - http://europeforthree.blogspot.com/ - she hopes to update it almost everyday, so keep checking it out, she has a way with the words (and she's pretty too!). Well, I'm looking forward to tonight's show. We had some killer t-shirts made up for this trip, design courtesy of our friend Tim Gabor and printed up by our good buddy at Hot Leathers, Andy George and we're hoping to sell a butt load of 'em. (That gas ain't cheap over here. We just paid a Euro and 33 cents a liter for the stuff! Our first fill up cost us 60 Euros. Ugh.) So we gotta move that merch! Quattro's really looking forward to having a job at the shows, so that should help. He's a good salesman too - every summer he has a lemonade stand during our annual garage sale and he usually makes more money than we do! We just pulled it over and JD got a coffee from an automatic machine and it's actually quite good. Why don't they have decent coffee machines in the states? It's all hot brown water if you get one from a gas station machine at home, but here, they got the good gourmet stuff in 'em. Quattro got a German comic book that he can't read a lick of (yet - that kid's pretty smart. He may just figure out how to speak German before this trip is all over!). He said, "I like German comics, they're funny." Glad someone thinks the Germans are funny, it's not one of their better known traits. So, the battery's going dead on my computer here in the car on the ol' Autobahn, so I'll finish this update after tonight's show. Show was awesome. Great turn out, good Germans, nice club. The planets really lined up for this one. The Paceshifters were great and we actually moved some merch... So all's well on the Western Front! I'm gonna send this message off to get it to you all... I'll write more soon, I promise. It's late here and I'm wiped out. Take it easy, Eddie Spaghetti, on my way to bed in Berlin...

Greetings from the East Coast of the good ol' U.S. of A.! It's durn good to be back in the states again where we speak the lingo and know where to go to eat - no more guessing at the menu, for a spell anyway! I say for a spell because I'm actually getting ready to head back over there for the Eddie Spaghetti European Family Holiday Tour 2009. That's right, I'm packing up the increasingly pregnant wife and my 8 year old boy and we're heading over the pond once again for some solo dates and we can't wait! We're really looking forward to spending the first part of this summer together, road-tripping it through Europe, stopping where ever we like, seeing whatever we want to see and doing some great shows in between. But first things first - we must finish our current tour, which is chugging along quite nicely. We're doing a version of the Big Show on this run, which means that we're doing some country as well as rocking the house down to the ground each and every night. So make sure you come out and see us if we're close to where you're at. It's going to be well worth your time.
We recently were in England for a festival date where we shared the stage with none other than American rock icons, X, who were AMAZING as per usual, cramming their extensive history into a blistering 45 minute set was no small feat but they did it with style. Here's a phone-photo of me and John Doe after the show -

He's still looking good! Also on the bill were the Breeders, who were awesome as well, and we had the pleasure of having the wonderful Ms. Kelley Deal join us onstage for a rousing rendition of "Hungover Together", which she totally nailed. Here's a picture of my lovely wife and Kelley's twin sister, Kim Deal from backstage after we played.

And speaking of my lovely wife, she's currently incubating our second child, which is also coming along quite nicely. A little too nicely really, our little bundle of joy is measuring about 5 weeks bigger than she should be, so she's going to be a whopper. We may have to have her out of there before our September 9th due date if she keeps up this kind of growing! Oh, and have I mentioned that it's going to be a girl? Yep a (not so) little girl is coming into the Spaghetti household and we're glad, damn glad! Here's a picture of her cute little profile while still in my wife's ever growing belly -

So that's what's been going on around here. I hope to see you all out here on the road real soon. The shows have never been better, so I recommend you come out and see one. All right? All right!

Howdy there folks. I'm coming to you from the good ol' South. That's right, this tour is just underway and it's all starting down in the beautiful southern state of South Carolina. The SC is by far my favorite southern state and that is largely due to the city we were just in, the wonderful Charleston which is a great little town even if we didn't get to see very much of it this time around. Still, the people are friendly and the restaurants are good and they have our favorite minor league baseball team, the Charleston Riverdogs, who, unfortunately were out of town when we were there so we didn't get to attend a game either. Such is our luck, I guess. Being so dang busy has it's rewards but it also has it's downside too. You don't often get to stop and "smell the flowers" as it were when you've got to get up and go to the next town. Right now as I'm writing this we're currently heading from Charleston to Charlottesville, VA which is about a nine hour haul, so we were up and at 'em much earlier than any self respecting rock guy ought to be. It's worth it though to be getting to do this job. To be anointed with the carrying of the torch of rock and roll is a high honor. One that we're more than happy to undertake. After all, who's left out there to do it? No one that I can think of even comes close to what we are able to bring to the table each and every night, no matter how roadworn and weary we may be feeling.
Coming up on this trip that has already included a festival in Austin, Texas and a benefit for the Surf Rider Foundation in Myrtle Beach, SC is our quick jump over the pond to do a festival gig in England where we will be sharing the stage with none other than the incredible American rock legends, X (one of my favorite bands of all time). Immediately upon our jet-lagged return to the states we will be in NYC to do the Joey Ramone Birthday Celebration at the illustrious Irving Plaza before getting back in the big white Econoline and doing some more east coast dates. This tour will end with a show in Chicago after which I will be flying my butt down to Atlanta to do a solo show at a joint called the Gravity Pub, I think. The next day finds me flying back home to Seattle only to scoop up the (increasingly pregnant) wife and kid to head back over the "pond" to do a string of solo dates in Europe from which we will be flying back into LA in time for the Hootenanny Festival in beautiful Southern California, so my ass is going to be busy all the way into the summer and probably into the fall.
It's one of those good problems, I guess.
We'll see you out there this year for sure!
Rawkously yours,
-Eddie Spaghetti, somewhere on the I-95 in the Carolinas, 5/12/09

Greetings my fellow people of impeccable taste. This is coming to you straight out of England where we are about to rock the Newcastle-tonians. Newcastle-ites? I dunno, whatever they're called, they're gonna get rocked. Hard. This tour has been a super good time and we're looking forward to hitting Ireland in a couple of days. (In fact, by the time you read this we may just be there.) Hey, do any of you have one of these new-fangled X-Box thingies? Well, we just got one on the bus here and I gotta tell you - it's no wonder I don't have one of these things at my house. They are addictive! And they look so realistic, it's like you're watching TV. We've just been playing one game, the Tiger Woods golf game and it is so much fun, I can't believe it. It makes getting things done kind of difficult because it is so darn addictive. But I'm taking time away from the links to write you all a little message about what we've got coming up. Starting in May, we'll be back on the road in the good ol' U.S. of A.! That's right, if you're lucky enough to be living on the east coast, chances are we're gonna be somewhere near you. So keep your eyes peeled for a listing in your area. Also in May we'll be heading back to the UK to do a festival called All Tomorrow's Parties. Which this year is being "curated" by the Breeders and I guess they wanted a taste of The Greatest there. Then we're back in the states to finish up a round of east coast dates at the end of which, I'll be jetting down to Atlanta to do a solo gig there, and then I'll be home for about a day before I pack up the family and we take my solo act back over the pond to Europe. You can see the dates below, I reckon, but it's going to be a lot of fun, traveling with the family all around Europe and we at the Spaghetti household are all looking forward to it. After that it's straight into Southern California for this year's Hootenanny Festival and then a string of west coast dates, so as you can see, my calendar is pretty much filled throughout the summer. And that's a good thing, because with the baby coming in September (which we now know is going to be a girl, by the way. Yay for us!) I'm gonna need to get all the work in I can before I take the month off for retraining of Daddy-ness. I may be a little bit rusty when it comes to having a newborn in the house again, but I'm really looking forward to it. She's gonna be a treat! Well, that's all I have for now. Try to keep a loose eye on our website for details regarding upcoming shows near you. I've gotta go get up in some bangers and mash now. Yummy stuff for sure! -Eddie Spaghetti, April 18, 2009, Newcastle, England.

Hey there peoples of impeccable taste! Or should I say "Hola!" How's it going? We're doing a little bit of alright on this tour. So far, every single night has been sold out or at least darn close to it. I'm writing you from Madrid right now where it is looking to be another gang-busters night on the road for sure, so yay for us! We've been real surprised by the response to the new songs we've been playing live - they've gone over real well and it seems like people are starting to know the words and get the drift of what we're up to on our new record. The guys in the band have been a joy to be around, Ron, Scott and Dan have been pulling their weight and rocking out extra hard on this run. Must be the weather! We've finally had a couple of nice days to go and see some of these towns we're in, so that's been a plus. Madrid today was absolutely fantastic, weather-wise. It seems we're finally out of the cold, at least until we hit the U.K. in a week or so. So, if you're in Europe, make sure you keep an eye out for this tour to be coming your way. It's a super great bill, with us and Nashville Pussy rocking the house each and every night. And if you're in the States, keep an eye out for us to be coming your way this summer. I know we have some special dates coming up for those of you Stateside, so keep your peepers peeled. Well, I guess that's all. I just wanted to check in with you all and put the bug in your discerning earholes that the Greatest Rock-N-Roll Band In The World is still out there, somewhere, rocking the asses that choose to get rocked. So make sure and bring yours out to see us next time we're close to you. You won't regret it... Rawkously Yours, Eddie Spaghetti, 4/4/09, Madrid, Spain.
