So we dont have much time right now because we must leave for Austria. Sorry we missed our show in Croatia yesterday, we were detained at the border of Serbia for 12 hours!!! It was the most hellish experience ever.  Everyone who worked the border was corrupt and they insisted that we pay them an exborbant amount of Euros before they let us through..After help from the US Embassy and a Serbian saint named Goran we finally managed to get out of there without paying anything but 12 hours late. The delay caused us to miss our show last night and now we might not make it to our show in Austria tonight.

Will update everyone on the last few shows when we've got some more time..

I guess we better update this mutha before all the shows mold together into one big blur..We are in uh...GIJON Spain tonight, its sunday and tomorrow we have our first day off. We done 12 shows in a row and now we are pretty tired. After the beaches of Normandy, the ancient city of Perigieux, and cognac in Cognac, we left for Spain. The first few shows were amazing crowds were really wild..Tomorrow is Evans birthday so we'll probably celebrate. Then our next show in Barcelona. Last night we played a crazy rave/warehouse dance party in the industrial district of Bilbao which is supposedly home to the best shrimp and cocaine in Spain. We had some shrimp but opted against the coke. We got on stage at 230 am and everone was kinda just arriving.A lot of the clubs and bars stay open till 8 or 9 am..Spain stays up laaate I'm pretty sure everyone's on speed all the time. We were playing on a small stage while a dj was blasting dance music on the main stage.promoter was really nice and they fed us a feast..
Tonight was kind of a bust cause we played some shitty new sports bar and its sunday and everyone was watching soccer, they were like "what the fuck?" when we loaded in. The drives through Spain have been very beautiful if you check a map you'll see we are right on the coast ..Oliver is out gambling at the casino and i'm in a 4 person room with luc and jeremy fast asleep next to me..

Does anyone have any questions?

So we've officially started our European tour with our first show in Paris last night. We got on a plane at 7am in Portland and arrived around 7 am in Brussels. We had so much luggage cause we stuffed two suitcases full of our CD's to sell over here..When we arrived our agent Manny picked us up and took us to his house where our van and equipment was. We've got a sweet blue Mercedes van for the tour that is way better than our USA van. Its huge. i'll have to post a picture. The show was in a crazy looking venue called fleche d'or and they served us a feast for dinner with red wine and bread. The other bands on the bill were all French but they sang in English. One of them was the Dirty Jacket: www.myspace.com/dirtyjacket Tried to use some of my french mais j'ai oublie beacoup. We didnt get to actually see le Tour D'Eiffel or La Louvre or anything cause we went straight to the venue and today we are off to Rennes! I feel bad for all you suckas stuck in the USA! ha.

We decided our old shirts just weren't cuttin it so Oliver and I took matters into our own hands and learned how to screen print and set up shop in my backyard and printed some new shirts. These were no easy feat and uh each one is like its own piece of art so..yeah. We'll be selling em at the show on Sept. 14th here in Eugene and online if there are any left. Oh also Oliver is wearing one of the new ones in the profile picture.

Thought we would post a little update about what we've been doing lately so..

First off I thought I would enlighten everybody about the greatest burrito place in Oregon, BURRITO GIRL not to be confused with Burrito Boy. Its way out hidden in the Shell parking lot by the Walmart out west 11th so its a real trek out there but goddamn.

Our website www.rnrsoldiers.com is back and running. Feed the bird some beer if you have nothing better to do.

Eugene isn't that hot in the summer but inside our pisshole rehearsal studio it gets brutal. The worst part is that there isn't any bathroom and so after you guzzle water you gotta use the giant communal bottle to take a piss in. Looking at things now I realize we've really done well for ourselves on this front, we started out rehearsing in a Muffin Mill and now we practice at a Law Dogs Training Facility/ Indoor Archery Range. We actually saw our 6th grade archery teacher come out of the place awhile back. Can you even believe that archery was a REQUIREMENT in middle school for us?? I never even thought about how weird that is until now. But Mr. Craighbaugh did not fuck around and our whole sixth grade class could probably hit in you in the middle of the forehead with our bow and arrows from a whole football field away...

oliver and I have been tirelessly working on booking a small tour for the fall and I spent an hour on the phone today with Luc trying to convince him to play with us cause he's got his other band(the Blimp) that he's spends most of his time doing..Anyway, the way we are booking it is just doing all the west coast, then going as far east as we can get shows..one by one by one.. Right now we have a booking agent in Europe who is putting together a pretty fantastic European tour for us in early 2008 so that will be something if it doesnt fall through. Nous pouvons parler un petit peu de francais.Serbia, Germany, France, Austria, Spain, etc.. If we do get into Europe there is an 80-90% you will never see or hear from us again.

We have all intention of finishing our next album in the next few months. Who with and how is still up in the air. We have 6 songs already recorded that are getting ready to get mixed here so we'll put them up soon. On a side note if there are any cool bands that wanna play with us on this next tour just write a message. Also if there is anyone that wants us to play their venue. Just holla.

So we've just arrived back in Eugene for our show at the WOW HALL it took us about 15 ahours to get back from LA cause we gotta drive slow with the trailer. The odor in the van during the drive home was a mysterious combination of rotten broccoli and dead animal (caught somewhere underneath the van?) Our trailer has a vicious leak in it from a run in with the roof of the best western parking garage in hollywood resulting in a solid mold build up inside. this should be fine once the weather gets nice. All in all things on this tour were fantastic. Got to see lots of friends from around the country and played some great and a few terrible shows. What did we see? At five am just outside the strip in Vegas there were some crackwhores and a pimp, driving through detroit we saw alotta woodchucks but we never a live one, liars club in des moines is a real up and comer on the scene, our tour manager Scar called the phone number on a bathroom wall in boise that said "call cookie for a killer handie" and we were chased out of the state by raging rednecks in a truck, luc stepped in human shit in la and dragged it all over our friends car, we outran a tornado in oklahoma..Vacations, mushrooms? meanwells, joey v...Since everynight is a party on the road my brain feels like mush so this week should be a break. But not tonight cause its WOW HALL, or tomorrow cause its Cinco de Mayo and Oliver is entering a jalapeno eating contest.

So alot has happened since Kansas City. Right now we are sleeping on couches and an air mattress at our friend meghan's house in Columbus, Ohio. We ended up cancelling two shows- Chicago and Champaign cause I got really sick and lost my voice completely. Sorry about that we'll have to make it up to those cities. Anyway, the other night we played Earlham "School of Religion" as it says on the postcard I bought. Earlham is a quaker school of about 1200 kids in Richmond, Indiana. The show was in a little cafeteria type room and the whole show was run by students. I don't think I ever saw anyone older than early 20's the whole night. This night was fantastic because we got to act out all of the college experiences we never had. sneaking beer and tequila in water bottles and running around the campus and then sleeping on the floor of dorms. We also had a feast the next day in the school cafeteria.. Thanks a lot to our chaperones for showing us around.

Covington, Kentucky was next. This was a place called the Mad Hatter. We've played the Mad Hatter a few times and it has always been a good place. I think we changed our name to Saber Tooth for this show but I don't know why. We played with the best cover band ever I forgot their name but they played Surrender by Cheap Trick..Most of our Covington friends were mysteriously absent from the show but we made some new friends including a crazed shirtless man who kept bringing shots of jager on stage.

Now we are in Columbus and playing Athens Ohio tomorrow which claims its the number 10 party school in the nation. We'll see about that.
