What's going on people! I know it's been AGES since I've sent a mailout, but I figure, it's about time I get back on track so that you're all in the know re: what we're up to. For those whom I haven't spoken to in a while, wudduuuppp!

Most of you know we've been MAAAAAD busy lately, but for those who don't, lemme bring u up to speed reallll quick!

- The RAPTORS r on FIRE & we're about to head into the playoffs! We spin the music at all Raptors home games in the ACC (for those who don't know)
- D'Luxe inside The Guvernment was renovated & is now sweeter than ever!
- Our most recent CD "The MASH-UP THEORY Vol 1" is making crazy noise across North America AND overseas
- Body English in Mississauga (our new Thurs spot) is OFFICIALLY the hottest new Mega club in the country
- The Kap'n Kirk Birthday Weekend Marathon is coming Apr 25-29!
- NBA 3on3 / 4K Canadian Tour starts in May
- Caribana is going to be BANANAS!

ALl I can say is...OMG!!!! Believe the hype.

We did the Grand Opening of our new Thursday night spot last week & it was absolutely INSANE! Not only was it the grand opening of our night, but it was the grand opening of the new club itself. What used to be Club 108 in Mississauga is now, after a $1MILLION gutting & renovation,  BODY ENGLISH!!!! Clearly the hottest new MEGA club in Canada, no question. My people's have brought Las Vegas north of the border FOR REAL! The club looks amazing & the vibe was unreal!

What can I say, the place was PACKKED by 11:30 and we rocked it all the way til 3:30am! This is now the OFFICIAL spot every week to catch 4KORNERS doing it up in front of 1300+ people, and get this...TOTAL MUSICAL FREEDOM! I can play anything i want!!!! Hip hop, house, rock, reggae, electro, breaks, and all the mashups u can handle!

YESSS people,

A long time since my last blog...ya ya ya lol. SO here's what's new in my world!

I just put the finishing touches on the loooooong awaited 4KORNERS Mixtape. This one, however, is MUCH different than any CD we've ever released. It's called The MASH-UP THEORY Volume 1: Bangers & Mash. I'd show you the CD artwork, but it's still being designed. I literally finished recording it 3 days ago and it's going to be OFFICIALLY released at our CD release party Saturday March 10 @ D'Luxe (mark that in your calendars, more details to come). HOWEVER....we're leaking a stack of FREE copies this coming Friday at Lot 332, so if you want it early...now you know where to be ;)

What can I say about this CD? Expect the unexpected!

Yes indeed we DID have our Grand Re-Opening of our Saturday night home of over 2 1/2 years, D'LUXE inside Canada's #1 club The Guvernment! And what can I say more than...WOW!!!! HUGE shouts to Charles K & everyone at Guv, you've outdone yourselves. The room is SICKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!! And I've worked in clubs all over, but trust me, it's dope! A totally new, polished, upscale look complete with a stage & STRIPPER POLE!!!!! omg....OMG!!!! If you haven't been out to D'Luxe in a while, you should DEFINITELY come check it out.

Wuzzzzupppp!!!!!!!!

Just got back from tour/vacation on the West Coast & I must say, it was LOVELY as always!!!! Big shouts to all our people in Edmonton & Vancouver for showing us love as usual. Here's how it went down.

1st stop was Edmonton to spin a couple parties with our peeps Urban Metropolis. BIG HAPPY B-DAY to our homie Harman B!!!! Fever Nightclub and Red's (aka Ed's) were both off the chain. And despite the initial issues, the hotel situation turned out quite alright as well. (Ever broke a hotel shower handle right off??? I have lol)

Next was our home away from home, VAN CITY!!!! Plush nightclub was nice and RAMMED (but the crowd has gotten younger). But when that was done, your boys 4KORNERS were OFFICIALLY on vacation for 3 whole days!!!! Ever heard of that? I didn't even turn on my computer....well...ok once...to check MySpace lol.

What did we do???? Everything & nothing! We ate well, walked slow, did a lil shopping, hung out with friends, took in a lil BC bud (well i did), watched sports, partied & most importantly SLEPT!!!! Also shouts to Party Boy who made teh trip out West with us. TOLD u homie!

In between all that, we managed to pull a few strings at GM Place to get in & watch a Vancouver Canucks game from the VIP restaurant. Hockey, beer & Filet Mignon...ever heard? Big shouts to our inside link & to Evie, the Canucks #1 Fan!

The BC Lions won the Grey Cup while we were there, and we were right there celebrating with them when they brought the cup home. ARgos or not T-DOT got our hands on the cup this year lol. Checkitout!

Definitely good times. I also learned yet another valuable life lesson on this trip. Or rather, a lesson was reinforced. Be careful of who you allow into your circle. Not everyone has your best interests in mind. I'm SOOOOO CHOCKED, but I'll get over it. HUGE shout to all my TRUE friends.

What it do?!? (Sorry...too much down south music lately :P) It's the one Kap'n Kirk stopping in to let u know what's up in the world of 4K!

I'm writing this blog due to OVERWHELMING demand/harrassment/death threats from people asking when we're dropping another mixtape.

I KNOWWWW it's been a minute since we put something out. 3 months to be exact (if u live in Toronto & got a copy of GET DERRTY this summer). If your from somewhere else on the planet, u prob haven't got a new one from us in wayyyy longer.

Not to worry! TWO new mixtape are currently in the works as we speak. That's right. Count em, 1.....2!!!! And since we're getting soooo many questions, I'll even let y'all in on what they're gonna be like (since we retired the KORNERSTONES Hip Hop/R&B series).

1) 4 THE PEOPLE
This is gonna be a mix of everything, similar to GET DERRTY for those who have it. Hip Hop, R&B, Reggae, Old School, Dirty South, Soca, House...whatever we feel like. (*NOTE: U can download the GET DERRTY MIXTAPE right here on our MySpace page).

2) The UNtitled Mash-Up CD
Not quite sure what we're gonna call this one yet, but it's going to be our 1st recorded MASH-Up set, kinda like what we do live at The Guvernment & various other spots, mixing hip hop, house, rock, retro, reggae, r&b, old school, breaks etc all into on massive mix of music madness! (say that 4 timnes fast lol). This one's gonna be CRAZYYY!

3) And while we're on the topic, we've been toying with the idea of doing a 4KORNERS LIVE cd and/or series, where we'll record our sets at different clubs across Canada & around the world & press them on CD. Holler & let me know what you think of that idea.

Which one do y'all want 1st? Call me, e-mail me, txt me, msg me...whatevaman! We want to kow what you think.

OH...almost forgot. We actually DID just drop a new mix cd...kinda. The latest installment of Canada's #1 selling compilation was mixed by yours truly and is in stores now. We call it MUCH DANCE 2007. It's not quite like our usual stuff (due to lack of creative control) but it's a cool listen nonetheless. GO GET IT! Here's what it looks like ;)

SOOOOOOOOO it's Halloween & I'm sitting here in the lab, wasting time on MySpace (rehab is going well btw) while handing out candy to the neighborhood kids. Ya, outside of the DJ booth, I'm actually a pretty normal guy...or I try to be.

I'm STARVVING right now though & really REALLY need to go eat, but it's no use at the moment cuz these kids keep ringing the bell every 30 seconds. SO, I've decided that the next few kids that come to my door are gonna get a SHIT LOAD of candy, courtesy of yours truly. That way, i'll be all out & can turn off the light & go eat. Sounld like a plan? WERRD UP!

I do love Halloween though. Our Saturday night spot here in Toronto The Guvernment (www.theguvernment.com) is absolutely BANANAZZZZ every Halloween. People go all out with teh costumes (the annual $5000 best costume prize might have something to do with that :P). And yeah, we get in on the fun too. Last year, me & my boy dressed up as slutty girls and called ourselves "WHORE KORNERS". Peeps got a kick out of that one. This year, we dressed as 80's style, hair band rockers and we named "MOTLEY SOUND CRUE - Shorts Neil & Kirky Sixx" Checkitout!

Ahhh...good times.

Anyway, the doorbell hasn't rung for the past 10 minutes or so, so i'm thinking that it's alllll over & I can go eat.

I know I should be bloggiong more, because I keep saying "I'm gonna blog more" but hey, trying to take over the universe takes up a lil more of my time that u might think ;) lol

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaanyway, just stopping in to let u know what's up.

1) Our official website (www.4KORNERS.com) is being re-designed, so until the NEW HOTTNESS is ready, I'm going to be using MySPace as our temp website. So to get any info on us...COMEEHERRREE! 

2) YESSS i will get the 4KTV Episodes from my Euro Tour up soon. Patience :)

3) Big shouts to our homie Chingy who we recently did a party for here in Toronto. Look out for his next single "Dem Jeans". Kinda catchy ;)

4) BIIIIIIG shouts to my team The TORONTO RAPTORS! Pre-season has started & thing are looking REAL good so far. I know, i know...it's just pre-season & it kinda doesn't really count. But they are UNDEFEATED so far, and are showing alot of promise AND....if they'd lost every game so far everyone would have LOTS to say, so let's give credit where it's due. Keep up the good work guys!

5) BIG BIG Halloween jam at Guvernment next week (Toronto). And if you know liek I know, people DO IT UP for that $5000 best costume prize. Looking forward to it!

6) Check us out at our new Friday Night home, ULTRA SUPPER CLUB (Toronto) starting next Friday Oct 27! Goona be NUTZ, come looking niiiice!

7) We're hitting theWest Coast in a few weeks. We were supposed to do 2 dates in Van City, but instead we'll be stopping in Edmonton on Nov 17 1st for our boy Harman B's birthday party! Then on to our home away from home, Ahhhh VANCITY to do it up at Plush Nightclub on Nov 18.

8) NEW 4K mixtape is in the works & will be dropping in November. Are u excited? I am :)

9) I'm STILL hopelessly addictced to MySpace and I've given up on trying to kick the habit. It's useless I tell u, USELESS! To my fellow addicts, I love u all lol

10) My fingers are getting tired from typing so I'm DONE! Talk to y'all soon.

Is it just me, or does anyone else find themselves checking their MySPace more than their e-mail? WTF???? Don't get me wrong, I think this is a great web community & I've made some wicked contacts thru it. I've also heard from alot of fans/supporters/new found friends expressiong their happiness what what we do, which is great. I guess people feel more comfortable hollering via MySpace than e-mail, phone or in person. I mean, we are all "friends" here anyway right? :-) But I truly do think I have a problem.

So now, I've learned a few tricks & spiced up our page a bit. U likes? I also took off most of the "OFFICIAL" talk and made it more personable.
The way I see it, resumes are for job interviews and MySpace is supposed to be fun. And since I'm on here every damn day anyway, I might as well make it as enjoyable to look at as possible, tru?
