Wanted to recommend a film I saw at Sundance produced by Peter and Benjamin Bratt called 'La Mision'. It will be doing the festival circuit - so if it comes to your town definitely check it out.

This film has the guts to deal with a lot of issues that most contemporary film makers shy away from and the performances are spectacular. I highly recommend it.

What up homeys!

Wanted to keep you updated on the odyssey.

Spent four days in Sundance promoting a film I worked on called 'Lymelife' (unbiasedly, a truly awesome flick).

Was down for the count for about five days with the flu, but now Anna and I are cooking with gas.

The music is set to be mastered next week and we're just deciding on a release date that will be most beneficial to the album. We'll post the official drop date when we know. I'd love to get this baby to y'all as soon as possible. In the mean time we're busy working on the official website, album artwork, product management, alternative media publicity, distribution etc.. It is an intense process, believe me - but I think it will be worth the blood, sweat and tears. Thanks again for all of your consistent support and patience.

Lots of luck and love to you all during these crazy economic times.

Thanks to everybody who made it such a rockin' night (especially those who drove 5 hours). The crowd was so connected and responsive - Bukka, Robbie and Brian were out of control brilliant. it was cathartic after a weekend in which we lost a very dear friend who came out to all of my gigs (but I think he was there).

Needed to send some love out. So many of you all have been so generous to me with your comments and kind words and I appreciate your positivity considering the circumstances some of you are going through.

Just wanted to send y'all some good vibes.

I myself am sipping Ovaltine, cooking cabbage and giving my kid bread crust to keep him from crying.

So, I was thinking about the bizarre economic situation the world is going through and coupled with the prospect of my son's school's canned food drive - I just wanted to put it out there that there will probably be more need than ever this season (and I wish the best to you all during these times).

Feel it out - I don't want to tell anybody what to do, just do something that makes you feel good.

A couple of organizations that I've worked with are: Food Bank and City Harvest - they are legit and cool - everything goes directly to the people who need it.

But even if you're just being good to yourself this season - that ain't half bad.

Happy Halloween! If I could pass for a 10 yr old, I'd be trick-or-treating tonight. As it is, I'll be stealing from my children instead. NYC is going to be pretty wild tonight with the village parade as well as the numerous kids parades where I'll be in danger of being trampled to death (if I never blog again, send out a search-party).

I had to let y'all know that Pictures of You was written by The Cure - I wish I could take credit for it.

Also, I wanted to give a shout out to the scintillating musicians on Save Me which was recorded live at The Continental Club in Austin, TX. They are: Brian Standefer playing cello, Bukka Allen on piano and Robbie Gjersoe on lead slide guitar - they are currently known as Screen Door Music. These guys are also a cornerstone of the upcoming album.

In case you've been experiencing technical difficulties with the songs - the situation is being worked on and will hopefully be resolved soon.
