BARREL-AGED BEER:
-New this month we'll be releasing a 5 gallon keg of one of our barrel-aged beers. The keg will be tapped on the first day of the month
(maybe 2nd or third in June) and pour until it is gone. We'll have
"proper glassware" to highlight the rare treats coming out of the oak.
- In Burien we'll pour the Imperial Porter aged in a Syrah barrel from DeLille Cellars in Woodinville.

A
small chiliquile of corn tortilla chips, tomato chipotle sauce and
melted pepperjack cheese topped with flame broiled steak skewers.

-Salad: Asparagus Vinaigrette $8.95
A
generous portion of fresh Washington asparagus simply blanched and
tossed with our house her vinaigrette. Garnished with roasted red
pepper and shaved parmesan.

a pound of grilled chicken breast served on a toasted bocca roll with

- Come join us for a weekend of excellent local craft-brewed beers in the wonderful setting at St. Edward State Park in Kenmore.
- Consider coming out Friday night, June 19, when the brewers in attendance break out unique and unusual beers that will only be served that night.

- IMPORTANT CHANGE for 2009: parking is going to be a HUGE challenge this year due to major renovations going on at the park. A limited number of advance parking permits are being sold for parking on the grounds. Otherwise, plan to park at one of the park-and-ride lots and take the FREE shuttle.

better yet, take the chartered bus from our West Seattle pub. The coach
pulls away from the pub at 1:00 PM and leaves the festival grounds at

- On the third Thursday of each month we tap a cask-conditioned keg
from our sister pub in Burien. It's usually something unique and

TWELFTH ANNIVERSARY:
- Looking ahead to July, mark your calendar for the 2009 West Seattle Summer Fest taking place in the Alaska Junction July 10-12. We also celebrate our anniversary that same weekend with a killer beer garden and the release of our Anniversary Beer (this year an Imperial Pilsner-style lager).
- In addition, we're brewing a special beer
to raise funds for the city park across from Rocksport. It will be
served in a new beer garden to be set up during the Summer Fest on the
park grounds. Come by for a peek at the park and help us raise funds
towards its completion.

ORGANIC Beer NOW in West Seattle!!!
-On February 2, 2009 Elliott Bay Brewery and Pub became only the second brewery in King County to be awarded organic certification for its beers. While we've been brewing with organic
grain for a number of years now, we decided to seek
certification for our year-round house beers and a handful of our seasonal
recipes.
-Look
for USDA labels on the board above the bar and on our tap handles that
will designate which of our current draught selections is certified
organic.

to brew certified organic beers. All of our house beers plus a few
seasonal recipes received either the "organic" or "made with organic
ingredients" designation. Look for the green USDA organic decals
identifying our certified organic beers.

We will be pairing five courses of sustainable and locally sourced gastronomic delights along with seasonal house favorites and some fancified barrel-aged ales. Please join us on Thursday, February 26th at 7 pm. Of course that doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t stop by for a pre-func pint. Elliott Bay Brewing BLOG - Last month we started a blog to document in writing and photos some of the happenings here at Elliott Bay Brewing. - Recent entries include descriptions of our Head Brewer, Doug Hindman's trip to Germany, where he visited a number of beer-related locations, learned some of the local brewing lore, and, of course, ate some traditional German food accompanied by locally-brewed beers.

WE'RE ORGANIC in Burien!!! - On July 17, 2008 our Burien location became the first brewery in King County to brew certified organic beers. All of our house beers plus a few seasonal recipes received either the "organic" or "made with organic ingredients" designation. Look for the green USDA organic decals identifying our certified organic beers. - The Seattle Times took note too, publishing a piece on our accomplishment in a recent issue: http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/retailreport/2008085195_retailreport01.html ORGANIC Beer NOW in West Seattle!!! -On January 14, 2009 Elliott Bay Brewery and Pub became only the second brewery in King County (Elliott Bay Burien being the first) to be awarded organic certification for its beers. While we've been brewing with organic grain for a number of years now, we decided to seek certification for our year-round house beers and a handful of our seasonal recipes. -Look for USDA labels on the board above the bar and on our tap handles that will designate which of our current draught selection is certified organic.
