The game started off with both teams punting the ball on their first possesions.  Cburg got on the board first in an 11 play drive for a touchdown, going up 6-0 after the failed PAT.  After Dublin went four downs and out on their second drive, Cburg turned the ball over on downs after nine plays.  Later in the second quarter, Cburg got on the board with their second TD of the night on a four play drive that broke a long run down the home side of the field for the score.  After a succesful PAT the score was 13-0.  One play later, quarterback Jessie Whitlow hit Tyler Harrison, who broke free down the home side of the field for 80 yards and a TD of his own.  After a failed PAT, the half ended with the score 13-6 Cburg.  An early second half fumble recovery gave Chiefs fans reason to get excited, but even though they moved the ball better in the second half, Dublin was unable to put the ball in the endzone again.  It was a hard fought game against Cburgs "stacked" team, and while you hate to lose, this game will help us as we continue on in our season.

The defense was the key to winning this game.  The Chiefs came out and smothered the Cburg offense, keeping them pinned deep in their own territory.  After a couple of strong defensive stands, the Chiefs were able to sack the quarterback in the endzone for a safety, giving the Chiefs a 2-0 lead that they took into halftime.

To start off the second half, Dublin hit the Cburg offense hard and forced two fumbles, finally putting the Chiefs into scoring position inside the Cburg 10 yard line.  Heath White scored the first Dublin touchdown of the season on a run up the middle.  After a failed PAT, the score stood at 8-0 Dublin.  Cburg Gold didnt give up, and after making their first real positive yards of the game, they were able to put one in the endzone to bring the game close again.  After a successful PAT the score was 8-7 Dublin.

Dublin moved the ball for a few first downs late in the fourth quarter, but the Gold team was able to get one last shot to win the game for Cburg.  As the clock was running out, the Cburg quarterback dropped back for one last attempt and was knocked off his feet by Brandon Jones to end the game.
