Yes! All is moving slowly but surely in the NBJ world. Had to postpone the recording date AGAIN, but it's for a good cause, like adding a sweet ass organ to the mix. Look for the official NBJ band photo soon...we're working with this cat Joe Martinez, who goes to Portfolio Center in Buckhead and will def do some nice work making the NBJ boys look sexy and professional...sexessional.
Word has it that The Breaks was a record night for The Five Spot. I wanted to say thanks again to everyone that attended (especially to the guys that paid!) - being a part of this event has really given us some much-needed exposure to exactly the kind of people we're trying to reach.
We went out to Alex from Vortex Park's studio last night...what a sweet setup. And a couple of genuinely cool ass dudes. Cranking out some good tunes, check them out on our buddy list.
That's about it for now. We are looking for a few good people to be on our Street Team - passing out flyers, putting up stickers, posting bulletins on myspace, getting the name out, etc. At the moment we can offer free entrance to shows, copies of the CD, and in the future will look to those heads to help us on tours, events, etc. So if you're interested, slide us a message with the heading "Street Team" and we/I will let you know how you can help out. If you want to see us on the marquee at your favorite venue, this is your way to help make it happen! We love you guys, and keep Jamming...

Hello everyone,

     Ian and I want to thank everyone that came out to The Breaks on thurs.  I don't need to tell anyone that was there what a seriously badass time it was.  And there will be more.  And they will be bigger and better in every way...count on it.  Aside from that, the CD is still in production - the final recording date will be Oct. 27th, hopefully, followed by a hopefully speedy mix down then into your trembling, sweaty hands.  Until then, we're working on the press kit and other neat business-related stuff.  I do like it in a strange way.  Getting to work with other artists like my roommate Kyle Thompson (check his mypsace for some sick design work) gives me some perspective outside of our bubble of usual artists/partners in crime.  Whoo...I know it's a lot, but stay with us, we will actually have stuff to give (and by give, I mean sell) you guys very soon.  FUN!  We hope to see you before and at our next gig, I mean, GET-DOWN!!  Peace and good fortune to all.
