NOTE: this is a continuation of the Marks of the Roundtable News that I posted Wednesday. . .

HEADLINE NEWS: Rainbow-Haired Charismatic Enigmatic Warrior for hire
- Jeff Hardy will be leaving the WWE within the next month or so. The Charismatic Enigma gave his notice & informed WWE that he was leaving, due to scheduling conflicts, mainly wanting to work less days. WWE Owner Vince McMahon has informed the creative team to scrap future plans with the Rainbow-Haired Warrior & to create an angle for the UnderTaker's comback, originally slated to feature the Charismatic Warrior. The Rainbow-Haired Enigma finished up with WWE @ the Smackdown tapings, as he lost a "Loser Leaves Town" match to Smackdown Heavyweight Champion CM Punk, which will air this Friday night. Officials told Hardy the door will always be open for him to return, whenever he wanted & that WWE would be more than happy to promote any of his outside projects. He's planning on performing with his band, Peroxwhy?gen & working on a potential reality series. The Rainbow-Haired Charismatic Enigmatic Warrior told management he wasn't departing because he unhappy. Almost everybody feels it's only a matter of when, not if, Hardy would return to WWE. Many wrestlers were comparing his departure from WWE to that of Chris Jericho a few years ago, who went to work on several acting & musical gigs, before returning to the company with a prime position. Many have praised Jeff's last several months of work in WWE, as they felt he helped bring the Straight-Edge Superstar up to a higher level, where he could be seen as a legitimate threat going into his next feud with the UnderTaker.

PAY-PER-VIEW NEWS: Summerslam, Breaking Point, Slammiversary & Sacrifice
- To read the results for this past Sunday's Summerslam, check out http://www.lordsofpain.net/reports/wwe/ppv/3729.html

- In 1 of his Twitter updates Sunday, Joey Styles announced that former RAW & ECWWE Heavyweight champion Rob Van Dam & former Women's champion Lita were backstage @ the STAPLES Center, visiting former co-workers. Van Dam was last seen @ the Royal Rumble earlier this year, after he was the surprise 25th entry. Lita wrestled her final WWE match @ the Survivor Series in 2006, where she lost the title to Mickie James. She then made an appearance @ the RAW's 15th Anniversary Special on USA Network, where she, along with her former rival Trish Stratus, ganged up on Jillian Hall.

- The 1st 2 matches for the new WWE pay-per-view Breaking Point have been announced on RAW. The RAW Heavyweight title will be on the line in an I Quit match, as "Legend Killer" Randy Orton defends the gold against the #1 contender, John Cena. Also the team of "World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry & Montell Vontavius Porter got their unified tag team title shot against Big Show & Chris Jericho, after defeating them in a non-title match Monday. Only the main events will be submission matches, instead of the whole pay-per-view, as previously announced.

- TNA Slammiversary 2009 will be released on DVD September 1st, while Sacrifice 2009 PPV will be released September 22nd.

WWE NEWS: Vinnie-Mac totes heterosexually-challenged opinions & yet another DiBiase
- WWE Hall-of-Famer Jim Ross updated his blog & you can read the latest posting @ www.jrsbarbq.com

- GLAAD ~ the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation - aren't happy with WWE Owner Vince McMahon, after he used the word "gay" in a derogatory remark on RAW, during the opening segment. When the Cirque du Soleil performers got in the ring & bounced up & down, McMahon said that the masks "are really gay" & then added "Just what every man wants on his birthday!" The GLAAD website said, while Vinnie-Mac wasn't implying that the performers were gay, the way he used the term was in a derogatory manner. The website also said that using the word "gay" in that sense is anything but family-friendly, referring to WWE going PG friendly. "GLAAD is reaching out to McMahon & the USA Network," the statement said.

- The fan who made it to the ring and interfered during the match between Heavyweight champion "Legend Killer" Randy Orton & John Cena was Brett DiBiase, another son of "$1,000,000 Man" & the brother of Ted DiBiase Junior. The 21-year-old Brett holds a WWE developmental contract & wrestles for Florida Championship Wrestling. DiBiase's attack on referee Scott Armstrong was perfectly executed & the quick response by WWE security & what followed afterward, made it look like it was real.

TNA NEWS: Angle @ home
- For all the latest Total NonStop Action news, join the MySpace TNA community @ http://www.myspace.com/wrestlingwarlordtnafan

- TNA Heavyweight champion Kurt Angle's being allowed back inside his home, located inside a gated community in Moon Township, after police officers ejected him from his own place last week, after his ex-girlfriend & fellow TNA co-worker Trenesha "Rhaka Khan" Biggers filed a protection from abuse order against him. "It's been about 10 days. I can't wait to get home. Thank God. She's out of my life," Angle said Wednesday morning outside the Allegheny County Courthouse, according to a story by local ABC channel WTAE 4. Angle always maintained his innocence & claims that Biggers fabricated the story to get him arrested, after he told her that the relationship wasn't going to work out. Kurt was charged for harassment, possessing drugs & driving on a suspended license, then spent 10 hours in jail last Saturday, just 1 day before the TNA pay-per-view in Orlando. Angle & his attorney spoke to the media outside the Courthouse yesterday

A few weeks ago, Garcia posted her schedule on MySpace & didn't go further than August 24th with her WWE bookings, which led to a lot of talk that this week's RAW would be her last. Lilian, who's getting married soon, got her bachelorette party after RAW, which was thrown by the WWE Divas. "RAW rocked! Now going to knock out the Vegas strip! DECLARATION of INDEPENDENTS NEWS: betcha Gordon Solie would want to see that wrestling musuem!
- To view an up-to-date listing of all the omnivorous upcoming independent shows, check out http://www.prowrestlingevents.tk/

- Since the late 1800s, professional wrestling has turned out many high-profile stars. But 1 of the most well-known personalities wasn't even a wrestler. He was a commentator & announcer named Gordon Solie. Now author Bob Allyn, with help from co-authors Pamela S. Allyn (Gordon's Daughter) & Scott Teal, aims to enrich wrestling fans with the life & times of this legendary broadcaster, who died in 2000 @ the age of 71. Published by Crowbar Press, The Solie Chronicles takes fans on a wild ride behind-the-scenes in the world of professional wrestling. All sorts of personalities make their way into Allyn's book about Solie ~ everybody from wrestlers like WWE Hall of Famers "Nature Boy" Ric Flair, "American Dream" Dusty Rhodes & Hulk Hogan, to "The Voice of Florida wrestling," Shannon Rose. Famous dead-pan style interviews & colourful play-by-play broadcasts of wrestling, led to Solie's induction into the WCW Hall of Fame (Class of 1995), the NWA Hall of Fame (Class of 2006) & the WWE Hall of Fame (Class of 2008). "Gordon calling a world championship match was like Al Michaels or Bob Costas calling a Super Bowl or World Series. . . just a perfect fit!" Author Allyn says, "The background material for this biography was found in Gordon's personal files & taken from interviews with the people who knew him the best. It's written as a testament to a man who made his mark in many endeavors."

- Graham Cawthon, the Founder of The History of WWE ~ http://www.thehistoryofwwe.com ~ posted the following article: "Roughly a week ago, I wrote a column discussing the need for an all-encompassing pro wrestling museum. The term 'all-encompassing' is important here. I realize there are 2 existing museums but, currently, there isn't 1 single location that celebrates the entirety of the pro wrestling industry ~ from the early days of the territories, to today. The feedback to last week's column was overwhelming. I received dozens of e-mails from fans around the world, not only supporting the cause, but also pledging their own time, money & collections to make it happen. Now that's passion. I was inspired beforehand. Knowing there's a fanbase that'd regularly travel from around the world to see this thing, I'm convinced not only that it could happen, but it should happen. For those that missed the piece that kicked all this off, my vision's to have a 'professional' pro wrestling museum: spacious rooms devoted to wrestling memorabilia from around the world, all encased in glass; hallways lined with event posters, from the heyday of the territories, to the rise of the pay-per-view; action figures, t-shirts, magazines, 8x10s, as well as ring-worn items from legendary figures in the business. Shoot me your thoughts ~ thehistoryofwwe@gmail.com ~ whether it be positive, negative, or indifferent, I'd like to hear what you have to say. Where would you put it? What would you put in it? Can you help with the process of creating it? After all, if the demand to see this isn't there ~ it's not worth having." To read the initial column in its entirety, go to http://www.thehistoryofwwe.com/museumcolumn

HEADLINE NEWS. . . the Olympic Felon?
- According to a criminal report filed in Pittsburgh on teh 15th, Kurt Angle has been arrested. There was an altercation @ the home of the Olympic Hero, involving Angle & girlfriend Trenesha Biggers, aka TNA's Rhaka Khan. Biggers went to police & filed a protection from abuse order against Kurt & police came & removed Angle from the home that morning. @ around 8AM, Biggers called police again, stating that Angle was stalking her. She'd gone to a Starbucks to use the internet & told police that the Olympic Hero had her phone & had been circling the parking lot. She claimed Angle was deleting photos from the phone, which were described as "pictures of abuse". Kurt was questioned by police, under suspicion of DUI & when they searched the vehicle, they found used syringes & 2 vials of HGH. Angle claimed that he had a prescription for the medication & could provide that to police. Angle's currently awaiting arraignment on the following charges: Driving while operating privileges suspended. . . Prohibited acts. . .  Possession. . .  Harassment.  Pittsburgh's local ABC affiliate WTAE-TV has a story on Kurt Angle's 1st interview since his arrest this past Saturday. "I'm just going to let the judicial system take its course & I'll be vindicated," Angle told B-94's "Buckhead & Bubba in the Morning" radio show on Wednesday. "I spent 9 hours in the (Allegheny) county jail. I mean, it was degrading." Angle claimed that Biggers ~ who he didn't mention by name ~ asked to take his car to go to the store on Saturday & instead went to the police to file a protection-from-abuse against him. Moon police quickly came to his house & got him evicted, leaving Biggers @ his place alone. "We got surveillance tape that shows she followed me out & then she had me restrict the PFA by following me, so basically in a nutshell, that's pretty much what happened," Angle said. The TNA champ called the whole story "crazy" adding that he told Biggers multiple times that their relationship won't work.

- The full police report that the officer who responded to the call, made after the arrest, has been posted on-line. It contains the details of the officer's encounter with Angle, the questioning about driving with a suspended license, finding the HGH drugs in a black zippered bag & the conversation with Trenesha Biggers @ the police station, among others. You can read the full criminal complaint report @ http://www.wpxi.com/news/20415054/detail.html

- The Kurt Angle arrest story's getting mainstream media attention, with the Associated Press writing a story & published on several sites including the popular http://www.ESPN.COM Several local market news websites picked up the story as well, along with http://www.TMZ.COM & other celebrity gossip sites. There's nothing listed on the TNA official website about the arrest & it's likely that they won't acknowledge it on television either. In his latest blog update, WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross said that it was "troubling" to hear the story & hoped that the TNA champ would recover & regroup.

HEADLINE NEWS: Please, Please, Please Can I Host RAW?!
- It seems that everybody wants to be the guest host of Monday Night RAW. WWE enjoys the support of a lot of celebrities, including actors, singers, athletes & all other kind of famous individuals. Grammy Award winner MC Hammer's the latest celebrity who wants a piece of the action, voicing his wish to be the guest host on his Twitter account. "WWE??? MN RAW?? HAMMERTIME??? hmmmmm???" The concept of guests hosts seems to be working for the company & while it mightn't always translate into ratings, they've been getting a lot of attention from media, who don't usually cover WWE.

- http://www.PWInsider.com is reporting that the big rumour flying around's that undefeated boxer Floyd "Money" Mayweather Junior will be hosting the Monday Night RAW the day after SummerSlam, on August 24th. That show will be broadcasting live
from the Thomas & Mack Center in Mayweather's hometown of Las Vegas, Nevada. This would be Floyd's 1st return on WWE television, since being involved @ WrestleMania 24 in a "match" against the Big Show. His involvement with WWE gathered huge media attention @ the time, after Money claimed that he was paid $20,000,000 by WWE to participate in the match. While that figure was advertised on TV, the real amount was way lower than that & exact details of how much Mayweather was paid, was never revealed.

- Actor Freddie Prinze Junior will be the special guest host of RAW next week. The former WWE creative writer was scheduled to be a guest host later in the year to promote his new role on the hit TV show "24", however he's been tapped to host the next show. Prinze joined WWE in July of last year, as part of the creative team; however, his stint with the company didn't last very long, as he quit 7 months later to pursue other work. He was @ last year's Hall of Fame & WrestleMania, plus was shown on television multiple times, along with fellow actor Macaulay Culkin.

- It's been recently rumoured Jerry Springer may be hosting RAW, due to him being spotted in Stamford, Connecticutt, however this is only due to 'The Springer Show' moving its tapings there, from Chicago.

- In other rumour-killing news, the latest word's that Robert "Freddy Krueger" Englund won't be guest hosting an upcoming edition of RAW, regardless of the fact that they're remaking the original Nightmare on Elm Street with a new guy under the makeup.

PAY-PER-VIEW NEWS: Bald Red Machine @ Summerslam?
- In an interview with The Sun's WrestleCast, WWE Superstar Kane once again teased a match with The Great Khali @ the Summerslam event (a match that hasn't yet been formally added to the card) The Bald Red Machine, who expressed his enjoyment for working with smaller performers like Rey Mysterio Junior, put over how wrestling a larger opponent gives him new challenges & opportunities in the ring. He also put over Dolph Ziggler, Ezekiel Jackson & John Morrison, as new stars with the potential to breakout.

- WWE will be releasing the Survivor Series Anthology DVD box sets in November, just in time for the 23rd annual playing of the show, which will take place in Washington, DC @ the Verizon Center. Only volume 1 & 2 are being release for now, with volume 1 containing the shows from 1987-1991 & volume 2 from 1992-1996. Each set will have 5 DVD discs. WWE NEWS: Hogan, Jericho, DiBiase, Orton & Mysterio
- WWE Hall-of-Famer Jim Ross updated his blog & you can read the latest posting @ www.jrsbarbq.com

- WWE's preparing another Hulk Hogan DVD for release this fall. Sources within the company haven't clarified whether it'll simply be a match collection, or if it'll take a documentary approach to an aspect of his career. http://www.PWInsider.com  reported the story & interestingly noted that the DVD, due for early November, will effectively be competing with Hulk Hogan's new "My Life Outside the Ring" book, which drops on October 27th. The book isn't a WWE release. So, worst case scenario, big-time hulkster fans can buy the book & the DVD, what's the big whoop?

- In addition to WWE Unified Tag Team co-champion Chris Jericho, The Great Khali will be featured in the new "MacGruber" movie, which's based on the Saturday Night Live character. Jorma Taccone directs the film, from a script he wrote with Will Forte {who stars as MacGruber} & John Solomon. Val Kilmer, Kristen Wiig & Ryan Phillippe co-star. Yeah, neither do I. . .

- Ted DiBiase Junior was recently interviewed by the Peoria Journal-Star & was asked whether slapping his father on national television several weeks ago was the hardest thing he's had to do yet in WWE. "Not @ all. I've been waiting to slap my dad in the face for a long time. I loved it {laughs}," DiBiase said. "Yeah, I guess afterward, I may have felt a little guilty, but it wasn't too hard." The slap came after the $1,000,000 Man booked his son to face fellow legacy member, RAW Heavyweight  Champion "Legend Killer" Randy Orton.

- Likewise, you can check out some highlights from a recent in-depth interview with the RAW Heavyweight champion from the St Louis Post-Dispatch @ http://www.lordsofpain.net/news/wwe/3565.html

- Smackdown Intercontinental champion Rey Mysterio Junior missed a recent round of television tapings & house shows, to take his family on a vacation. Mysterio earned some concessions, when he expressed his frustration with WWE this summer & 1 of them was the ability to take occasional breaks from the road.

- In addition to Ricky Ortiz, WWE released developmental wrestler Vic Adams last week. The official website of Florida Championship Wrestling updated his picture last week, but it's since been removed. He's a big powerhouse wrestler, who had the look WWE liked, when he was signed to a developmental contract early last year. He previously went under the name Janus around the Carolina indy scene. Besides Adams, Ortiz' picture was also removed from the FCW roster section.

- WWE's trying to trademark the "Celtic Warrior" name for Sheamus, but in a possible cause of conflict, UFC fighter Marcus Davis has prior usage to it. The name was popularized in the 1990s by Irish boxer Steve Collins.

- In an enthralling main event match, which pitted Florida Championship Wrestling Heavyweight Champion Tyler Reks against challenger Heath Slater, the FCW crowd were treated to a classic encounter, which ultimately saw Slater’s hand raised & a new champion crowned. Heath, who in recent weeks has shown an uncompromising mean streak, thus alienating much of his fan base, gained the victory by pinfall. A jubilant Slater told FCW insiders after the match that, as far as he was concerned, he's always been the champion, but now nobody can argue with him!  For more information on Heath & the other great FCW Superstars, check out http://www.fcwwrestling.com/

Promoters interested in booking him should contact bentleybookings@ymail.com  After doing job duty to Vladimir Kozlov in his WWE in-ring television debut last year, Matt reportedly had a tryout @ Florida Championship Wrestling's headquarters in Tampa. PAY-PER-VIEW NEWS: Night of Champions, Summerslam, Survivor Series, WrestleMania & More!
- Check out my write-up of the recent WWE Night of Champions pay-per-view @ http://fans.wwe.com/ringrust/blog/2009/07/28/_n_i_g_h_t__o_f__c_h_a_m_p_i_o_n_s_

- @ this point, it's highly unlikely that the UnderTaker'll be returning in time for SummerSlam. The current target date for his return's the September pay-per-view on the 13th, Breaking Point. Although, 2016 WWE Hall of Famer "HeartBreak Kid" Shawn Michaels is indeed expected to return @ SummerSlam.

- In other Summerslam news, during this week's SmackDown taping from the 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore, Maryland, it was announced that Chris Jericho & the Big Show will defend the Unified WWE Tag Titles.  No opponents have yet to be announced.

- Speaking of which, WWE's launched the new http://www.SummerSlam.com, which's pretty flashly, complete with the Aerosmith theme song & animated yellow & red carnival-style graphics. It's interesting to note that Michaels, who hasn't been on WWE television since WrestleMania, is 1 of the main superstars WWE's advertising for the event.

- WWE will be returning to the Verizon Center on November 22nd for Survivor Series. Tickets for the event officially go on sale this Saturday @ 10am on http://www.Ticketmaster.com, but the presale's already begun. There are 2 presale passwords, which are VIPWWE & CLASSIC

- Travel packages for WrestleMania 26 will be released to the general public this week. As always, 3 different packages will be offered ~ Platinum, Gold & Silver. The difference between the 3's the seating location. For Platinum, you get within the 1st 10 ringside rows & you also go home with the collectible chair. In Gold, you get seating in the 1st raised section behind the 1st 10 ringside rows. In Silver, you get higher up & seat in the permanent stadium seats. Each travel package contains a ticket to WrestleMania Axxess, a ticket to the Hall of Fame ceremony & a gift, along with 3 night accommodation. There'll be 3 different hotels this year, with each hotel hosting the different packages. The Arizona Biltmore Hotel will be hosting the Platinum fans, The Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort will host the Gold group & The Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak Resort will host the Silver group. The 1-person Platinum package's going for $1,895 US, Gold for $1,247 US, while Silver for $1,064 US. Price goes down if you stay more than 1 person in the same room. Unlike previous years, all Travel Packages will be sold through http://www.WWEShop.com

- This also in from http://www.wrestling-online.com ~ "With WWE releasing their own packages for WrestleMania, we are also giving you a choice to stay with us & take advantage of our special offer for Phoenix. For the weekend of WrestleMania & for just $169 per night, you have the chance to stay @ The Ritz-Carlton, Phoenix complete with full breakfast. When getting separate tickets & adding our hotel, you'll come out much, much cheaper than buying a WWE package, especially if you're in a double occupancy. With WWE, you save a couple of hundred dollars only on double, whereas if you book your stay with our promotion, you won't have to pay twice for the hotel accommodation, as 2 or 3 people can stay in the same room for the same price. For more information & to book, check out http://bit.ly/Sv4aI  Your credit card won't be charged if you make a booking, not even a deposit & you'll only pay once you complete your checkout. All reservations are handled directly by The Ritz-Carlton, Phoenix hotel."

- TNA Wrestling's announced the Bound for Glory travel packages, which offer similar deals to the WrestleMania packages that WWE offer every year. BFG will be held @ the Bren Events Center @ the University of California campus on October 18th. 2 packages ~ Platinum & Gold ~ are available, which include a ticket to the show, 3 night stay @ a hotel, VIP ticket to the Fan InterAction event the day before, 8x10 photos of each TNA Superstar on the roster, Bound For Glory PPV t-shirt & a welcome reception with TNA Superstars. WWE NEWS: RAW Rumblings, Birthday Celebrations & the Smackdown Heavyweight title!
- WWE Hall-of-Famer Jim Ross updated his blog & you can read the latest posting @ www.jrsbarbq.com

- There's a degree of frustration moving through the RAW locker room, regarding how the brand has been booked in recent weeks. The feeling's that, despite gaining some potential players in the recent roster trade, RAW has stuck to its recurring HHH/John Cena/Randy Orton main-event scene. Of interest to the main event monotony's the fact that the situation comes just months after reports broke of WWE firmly committing itself to developing new top stars on its roster.

- In happier news, though, a surprise birthday party was thrown for HHH, right after RAW went off the air, which involved the whole locker room, including WWE Owner Vince McMahon & a surprise appearance by Dave "The Animal" Batista, who's also from Washington DC. The Game tried to escape the surprise, but Vinnie-Mac told him that he'd sing if the Cerebral Assassin didn't return. Eventually McMahon sang happy birthday anyway & then the fun began. The McMahonopolizer got 1 cake & splashed it in the face of the King of Kings. Batista came out & Vince & the Big Show held HHH, while the Animal splashed another cake, only for The Game to duck & it hit TBS instead. All 4 in the ring ended up in a cake-throwing contest, with the former WCW Giant getting smashed in the face the 2nd time by Vince, who quickly left the ring after throwing it. The Big Show was playing funny, slipping on the cake inside the ring & The Cerebral Assassin falling on him. You can ahve all of you rillusions of professional wrestling quashed by seeing a video of all this @ http://bit.ly/t8GKo

- Former Smackdown Heavyweight Champion CM Punk recently took part in an interview with the UK’s The Sun. Check out a synopsis @ http://www.wrestling-radio.com/?view=newsitem&hline=12457

- Speaking of the Smackdown Heavyweight championship, Jeff Hardy will make his 1st title defense against John Morrison on this week's episode of Smackdown. YAY!

- Evan Bourne was scheduled to appear on RAW Monday, but was pulled because creative changed their minds on what to do with him. He worked a Superstars match last week & creative had plans for him to feud with The Brian Kendrick, starting this week, but that too was nixed. Even though he'd been doing stuff with United States champion Kofi Kingston & Big Show in recent weeks ~ including a pinfall victory over Kingston ~ there were never any plans for him to wrestle in the 6-Pack Challenge for the Championship @ Night of Champions.

- It was announced during last night's episode of ECWWE, that Christian will be defending his newly-won Heavyweight Championship against "innovator of Extreme" Tommy Dreamer in an Extreme Rules Match on next week's show. Also announced last night, HHH will be wrestling Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase Junior in a Handicap Match on this coming week's episode of RAW.

- Now, don't go squirting yet, kiddies ~ you can now follow Ezekiel Jackson on Twitter @ http://www.twitter.com/ezekielwwe You can also follow JTG @ http://www.twitter.com/Jtg1284 Both accounts have been confirmed by WWE's page.

- Smackdown's Shad Gaspard was @ the recent Comic Con & had the following to say about it: "This was my 1st 'COMIC CON' & it was the best fun I’ve had in a long time. I've been a big comic book fan ever since I was a kid. . .  A lot of fans asked me what I was doing @ Comic Con this year. Well, 1st, I’m a big comic book fan & I was helping to promote a new movie I might be in next year called 'Dead & Gone'. The film currently has a $9,000,000 budget & is to be set in the US & Fiji. It's being produced by Jordan Yale Levine, Franco Sama & Fylmar Productions. Written by David Frigerio; it's an action drama about 2 brothers, 1 white, 1 black, who never met each other & come together to avenge their father's death, before the rival mob boss kills them. My character helps them get revenge. I’ve done several interviews with G4, Comic Con & more, so check out their web sites & see the interviews or read more about it on the web."  Say, wasn't that the storyline for  how the Dudley Boyz came together? . . .  Anywho, check the Cryme Tymer out @ http://www.myspace.com/bkbeast13

- Just in case you're mildly amused by the idea of the RAW Celebrity Guest Host. . . after NBA Superstar Shaquille O'Neal hosts RAW this coming Monday, Emmy Award-winning actor Jeremy Piven will be hosting the August 3rd show. Piven ~ the star of the new movie "The Goods: Live Hard" ~ will be there to promote his comedy, as well as have some fun with the WWE Superstars. Piven's best known for his role as Ari Gold on the hit TV show "Entourage".

- Starting from next week, John Cena's movie '12 Rounds" will be hitting theatres in several overseas locations, starting with Italy, which's pretty big on WWE. The movie will start showing there, as well as in Ecuador, on July 31st. In August, the movie hits Central America, Bolivia, India & France, while it arrives in Peru, Spain & Venezuela in September. The movie's out already on DVD & Blu-Ray here in the normal part of the world.

- WWE European DVD distributor Silver Vision has released the match listings of the upcoming Dave "The Animal" Batista 3-disc DVD set, titled "Batista: I Walk Alone". The title's a part of his current theme, performed by Saliva. The 1st disc will be a sit-down documentary style interview, covering topics such as his early days, training with Afa, WWE arrival, Evolution, family problems & much more. Discs 2 & 3 will feature 18 of his best matches, starting from Ohio Valley Wrestling, all the way to his rise in the WWE ranks. The DVD's set for release on October 20th. You can see the artwork & the list of features & matches @ http://bit.ly/15zpew

- In other WWE DVD news, http://www.Amazon.com has a deal going on the "Rise & Fall Of WCW" DVD, where if you pre-order it now & the price drops before it ships, you'll automatically be charged for the lower price instead. You can check it out @ http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0028X36EE?ie=UTF8&tag=pwmcom-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B0028X36EE

TNA NEWS: Jeff & Karen's Total NonStop Action, Styles' Staph Infection & more iMPACT!
- For all the latest Total NonStop Action news, join the MySpace TNA community @ http://www.myspace.com/wrestlingwarlordtnafan

- The Jeff Jarrett~Karen Angle story was confirmed to be true by http://www.PWInsider.com proving that the anonymous caller from the Bubba the Love Sponge radio show last week was correct. The caller, who identified himself as "James from Orlando" said he worked on the TNA lot in Universal Studios & dropped the bomb that Angle's romantically involved with the TNA co-owner. The website, however, shot down the story that the 2 are living together & JJ decided to take his time off on his own, rather than being forced by TNA President Dixie Carter. Jeff & Kurt Angle had legit heat between them, when they were feuding on the screen & it's believed that Kurt knew his ex-wife was seeing Jarrett, which's why there were a lot of real emotions involved in the angle. Jeff's wife Jill died on May 23rd, 2007 ~ 8 years to the day, that his best friend Owen Hart passed away. Kurt & Karen Angle had their divorced finalized late last year. You can listen to the caller on the Bubba the Love Sponge radio show @ http://bit.ly/1VbXh1

- "Phenomenal" AJ Styles is doing better, after he was diagnosed with a staph infection over the weekend. Jeremy Borash on his Twitter account said he talked to the former X Division & Legends champ & said that Styles had another follow up with his doctor Monday. "Aside from the hole in my leg, I'm feeling much better," AJ said, as quoted by Borash. He also added that the Pheomenal 1 shouldn't be missing any ring time.

- TNA iMPACT! tomorrow will be running for 15 minutes extra, as Spike TV gave the go-ahead for more airtime to celebrate the 200th episode of the show. All the big TNA Superstars will be participating, including the newly-signed Taz & Bobby Lashley. The show starts @ 9PM EST on Thursday & if you DVR the show, make sure you set it to run longer than usual.

- Speaking of the former Human Suplex Machine, TNA's new arrival's been praising the company & its workers, saying he's really enjoying his new gig, after a bit of over 3 months away from the business. In a Facebook post, Taz said that he'll not, under any circumstances, be wrestling or getting physical in the ring. "I physically CAN'T WRESTLE ANYMORE!! I can't BUMP anymore. I have numbness in my right arm on a daily basis. . . I have about 40% range of motion in my neck, folks! For the 20,000,000,000th time. . . I'm DONE. Hence, why I'm an announcer," the former ECW Heavyweight champ wrote. He also mentioned that he met Samoa Joe for the 1st time on Sunday, before the pay-per-view & by the next day @ the TNA iMPACT! tapings, he felt like he knew him for 20 years. "Awesome guy, great attitude & tremendous athlete! I'm proud to work with him!"

- The planned TNA 1st iMPACT! Tour Event in Linz, Austria's canceled. No reason has been given. & the following people have been fired, in alphabetical order. . .  Simpson, Homer. That is all.

- Newfoundland TNA fans!!  Tired of not being able to see pay-per-views @ a local establishment?  Same here!  So that's why I've set up a MySpace page to help get our message across!  As per instructions on http://www.tnawrestling.com, if fans want to promote TNA in their local area, they can set up a "TNAtion" page on MySpace & get other fans from their area to pitch in to help get the word out locally about the great wrestling action of Total NonStop Action!  So if you wanna get TNA Wrestling pay-per-views into local bars around St. John's, or even have a dream of even the slimmest chance @ getting a house show here in the unforeseeable future, then add http://www.myspace.com/tnanewf as a friend & pledge your support!

HAUGHTY HOTTIES NEWS: SHIMMER, Traci Brooks Nekkid, Kiebler Spotted & More!
- To read the coolest news on the hottest women in wrestling today, check out Shimmer's official Yahoo! Group -- http://sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/shimmerwrestling

- SHIMMER will hold its 4th Anniversary Celebration tapings this fall @ the Eagles Club in Berwyn, Illinois. SHIMMER management & Eagles Club management are currently working on the details concerning the festivities. Look for an announcement soon!

- TNA's Jeremy Borash posted on his Twitter account that a TNA Knockout has posed for Playboy & rumours are that Traci Brooks is the 1 who'll appear in her birthday suit in an upcoming issue of the popular magazine. This will mark the 1st time that a TNA Knockout appears on the magazine, as previously Playboy had an agreement with World Wrestling Entertainment. WWE's idea to move to more PG-oriented programming left the Playboy deal cold. A WWE Diva used to pose for Playboy every year, just in time for WrestleMania. It now looks that TNA took over that deal, a very important deal for the male demographic that both companies are after. The Canadian Brooks has been with TNA since 2003 & her hmm. . .  rather large chest was used as marketing, when they moved to Spike TV, with Brooks posing with a bra & a Spike necklace showing on her boobs. Certainly a great choice on TNA's part to put Brooks as their 1st Playboy girl. You can see why Brooks will do good in Playboy @ http://bit.ly/Kf2up  Hey, I blogged about that shortly before WrestleMania ~ http://www.myspace.com/tnanewf ~ & Traci was indeed 1 of the Knockouts that I'd've liked to've seen nekkid!

- Former WWE Diva Stacy Keibler attended the 3rd Annual Matt Leinart Foundation Bowling Night Benefit last week, which was held @ the Lucky Strike Lanes in Hollywood, California. Several other C-list celebrities were in attendance as well. Keibler was looking gorgeous as always, wearing an orange top & black jeans. You can see some photos 1-handedly @ http://bit.ly/WtKg3

- Former WWE Women's champion Trish Stratus did an interview on The Surf on Bite TV in Canada, where she talked about several items, including her traveling show titled "Stratusphere", wrestling, yoga, fitness videos & much more. The show, which lasted 40 minutes, ended with Stratus showing the host ~ dressed in some ridiculous outfit ~ some fitness & yoga techniques. Afterward, he asked for an autograph, to which Trish said okay & 2 people brought out a huge Trish poster, where she was in a very revealing outfit & pose. She agreed to sign it, only if the host did the same pose on the floor. Pretty funny. In a poll @ the end of the show, only 8% of the fans wanted her to return to WWE, with 12% wanting her to try MMA, 38% to host the show she was on @ the moment & 42% wanting her to run for Prime Minister of Canada! You can watch the full interview @ http://bit.ly/7w3RH  HA!  Trish as PM! . . .  Saaaaaaay! . . .

- Here's some news for Missy Hyatt fans: "I'm adding 2 events I'm working @ the weekend of August 1st for Justin Credible, to my fanpage right now. If you're in the Connecticutt area, come check them out."  For more information on the 1st Lady of Wrestling, go to http://www.facebook.com/MissyHyattFans

- Former RAW Divas champ Maryse Ouellet's currently in Birmingham, Alabama, to get her knee checked by the always-busy Doctor James Andrews. Her knee problem wasn't due to an injury she suffered lately, but rather a combination of issues that have been going for almost 6 months. Maryse dropped the Divas title on Sunday night to Mickie James, during the Night of Champions pay-per-view.

- TNA Knockout Taylor Wilde posted the following blog to her Myspace page: "Allo ladies & gents! Not only by nature am I eco-friendly, but Toronto's waist deep amongst a garbage strike. Thus, making me conscious of the amount of garbage I may be creating. I just posted my latest auction on eBay, which is the lipstick I used to make all the pristine kisses on the TNA Knockout's kiss cards. I kept the lipstick from the 1st round & used it on the 2nd as well, hence the rant about not creating any extra rubbish. Bid away!!!" - Say it ain't so, Vyper! "1st I wanna thank you all for all the love & support you've given me for the past 5 years on MySpace & 4 Years Professionally Wrestling. I've made the decision to take a break from wrestling for awhile. A hard decision to make, but it has been done. I told my bookers @ CCW, I'll no longer be attending shows @ least for now. I'm welcomed back whenever I want, so it's not over until it's over. For now though, it is. I've enjoyed wrestling & am extremely happy that I was involved in my short time. I learned a lot & met a lot of wonderful fans. For those of you who have been to the shows & seen me, it's very sad to me that I'll no longer get to see you, I wish you all well & hope you keep in contact. For my MySpace Fans/Friends. I want to thank you for always writing, checking in on me & caring to even look @ my updates. I'm keeping this MySpace page, because after all, Vyper isn't dead. I'll still be doing my modeling & updating my page regularly. But for now, no more wrestling pictures, videos or shows. I hope you'll all continue to be a fan of mine, even though I'm taking some time off. I'll be auctioning off some of my Wrestling Goodies for Animal & Children Hospitals in a few weeks. I'll also have all my old photos @ the Next CCW show for any1 to come & get 1 Free. Thank you all again, You're all so dear to me. It makes me so proud to know I have fans like you!" DECLARATION of INDEPENDENTS NEWS: JBL, Hot Rod, StoneCold & the Divorster
- To view an up-to-date listing of all the omnivorous upcoming independent shows, check out http://www.prowrestlingevents.tk/

- Some websites started a rumour that John Brad$haw Layfield has been in discussions with TNA Wrestling, to join their company, after WWE didn't offer him anything following his last match @ WrestleMania 25. On a blog on the WWE Universe website, JBL said that he didn't have any talks with TNA, although he wishes them the very best. Brad$haw said that, in 1995, WWE Owner Vince McMahon gave him an opportunity of a lifetime & would never join a competitor, out of respect for the opportunity he was given. "Let me repeat ~ I have never had talks with TNA & they have never approached me about joining their company. . . I'm a WWE guy & will never be anything but a WWE guy." JBL also shot down the rumours of him being unhappy that WWE didn't offer him another role after WrestleMania, saying that it was his decision to move away & go home. "My relationship with WWE's as good as ever, as far as I'm concerned."  Then why am I reporting it in the Declaration of Independents. . .  jerk! . . .

- http://www.TMZ.COM is reporting that the Los Angeles City Attorney has filed criminal charges against WWE Hall of Famer "Rowdy" Roddy Piper for his DUI arrest on July 2nd. Piper was pulled over by the cops, when he was in Hollywood, California & was given a sobriety test on the spot. Hot Rod failed & was jailed immediately after, with bail set @ $5,000 US. Piper was charged with 1 misdemeanor count of driving under the influence & 1 count of driving without a valid license. Thursday in court, he pleaded not guilty to both charges. If he's convicted, he can face up to 6 months in jail & a $1,000 fine. He's due back in court sometime in August.

- The Detroit News has a story about former WWE Heavyweight champion & 2009 Hall of Famer StoneCold Steve Austin owing the state of California over $22,000 US in back taxes. HEADLINE NEWS: JJ's TNA?!
- Multiple reports have revealed that Jeff Jarrett wasn't @ last Sunday's Victory Road pay-per-view & is now taking time off to address personal issues, which some noted that this is an indefinite leave of absence. Last week, an anonymous caller "James from Orlando" phoned up Bubba The Love Sponge radio show & said that Karen Angle & her kids are living with JJ. Both the hosts are friends with Karen & Kurt Angle & were understandably stunned by the allegation. The caller ~ who said works on the TNA lot in Universal Studios ~ said that TNA President Dixie Carter's upset with the situation & is considering buying Jarrett's stake in the company for total control. The caller said that the 2 have been an item for a little while, but can't confirm if they were seeing each other while Karen was still married to Kurt. "I hope & pray that this isn't true," said Bubba. "She's hot though, I tell you that, but, it's kind of a bad move from Jarrett." The hosts then tried to call Kurt Angle, who didn't answer, but they left him a message on the cell phone. The caller had his voice altered after he requested protection, before going on the air. You can listen to the full call & the hosts leaving a message to Angle @ http://bit.ly/1VbXh1

- It's now coming out that TNA president Dixie Carter ordered Jarrett to go home as soon as she found out about the person's claims, which has been described publicly as him agreeing to take a leave of absence. @ Saturday night's TNA house show in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Kurt Angle was telling people that he's going to end up with the booking control of the company that JJ had & that he won't sign a new contract with TNA if Jarrett remains in power. No1 really knows how things will transpire from this point. the Olympic Hero's contract with TNA's set to expire in September & he hasn't yet agreed to a new 1. Jarrett was booked in segments on Sunday night's pay-per-view, that were either tweaked or removed. The direction of the booking for the show was planned before all of this stuff went down, as is television for the next few weeks. However, everything involving Jeff will obviously have to be tweaked or removed, as he was slated to further his program with "Showtime" Eric Young @ this week's slate of television tapings. For the most part, the wrestlers are more sympathetic to Kurt Angle on the matter, aside from those who have close ties with Jarrett. TNA personnel are playing the tape from Wednesday's episode of Bubba over & over, in hopes of figuring out the person who disguised his voice & started this messy situation.

In an interview with the Phoenix Business Journal, John Saboor, senior vice president of special events for WWE, also said that, for RAW, the company will be keeping its yearly tradition of hosting it in the same city. RAW will be held @ the US Airways Center, where the Hall of Fame's also scheduled to take place on Saturday. "This is another way we can keep people in town another day," said Saboor, who also met with political & business leaders earlier this week in Phoenix to give them the plans for WrestleMania 26.

WWE NEWS: Evan Bourne, Kurt angle, Shawn Michaels, John Morrison & more
- WWE Hall-of-Famer Jim Ross updated his blog & you can read the latest posting @ www.jrsbarbq.com

- Evan Bourne has posted a message on http://fans.wwe.com/wweevanbourne/blog/2009/07/21/photos_and_more stating that he was kept off Monday night's RAW to continue healing his sore neck. The injury was originally sustained last week in his match against the Big Show. He did, however, wrestle @ the TV taping in a match against Jamie Knoble that'll air on on Thursday's Superstars. Bourne says his neck was "hurting for a few days" after the Big Show speared him hard into the mat during their singles match. Evan purposely landed on his neck to sell the move, which turned out to be a bad idea. "I've recovered quite a bit & I should be back to 100% soon. My neck's fine, but I was certainly hurting for a few days." Bourne also posted a picture of his new t-shirt

- The WWE creative team discussed signing Kurt Angle in 2007 & the idea received mixed reactions. The idea was pitched to WWE Owner Vince McMahon & he shot it down immediately, saying that the Olympic Hero wasn't a channel changer & also mentioned his prescription pill issues. A WWE source said months ago, the company would be interested in using Angle on a limited schedule, similar to "HeartBreak Kid" Shawn Michaels & the UnderTaker. As of now, WWE has no interest, as the main concern's if he could adapt to the Wellness Policy

- & speaking of the 2016 WWE Hall of Famer, Shawn Michaels is celebrating his 44th birthday today; he was born on July 22nd, 1965.

- John Cena, Chris Jericho & Cody Rhodes have been selected by Gillette to develop on-line videos. This isn't the 1st time that WWE has been involved with Gillette & Cena, along with WWE Owner Vince McMahon even taped a commercial before for the company. "WWE Superstars perform under pressure in front of 1,000,000s of fans each week & these videos help reinforce the importance of a grooming routine in helping guys look, feel & be their best," said Tim Williams, Marketing Director, Gillette. "We continue to have a successful relationship with John Cena & WWE & we're pleased to expand this program to include more Superstars to help us reach the loyal & passionate WWE fans."

- 15-time NBA All-Star Shaquille O'Neal will be the guest host of next Monday's RAW, as the show rolls into Washington, DC, @ the Verizon Center. The 37-year-old's a huge wrestling fan & has appeared several times on camera during WWE & WCW shows in the past. Shaq joined the Cleveland Cavaliers this year, where fellow team mate LeBron James is also a big wrestling fan. He has a new reality TV show, which will debut on ABC in August called "Shaq Vs." so this will be some good free advertising for the 4-time NBA champion.

- WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan's name has been brought up as a possible RAW guest host during creative team meetings, but WWE Owner Vince McMahon shot down the idea every time his name was mentioned. Vinnie-Mac has been looking to VP of Entertainment Relations, Kristin Prouty, for input on the angle. She was responsible for Seth Green & has open conversations with other celebrities.

commentating by Mike Tenay & Don West ~ from the iMPACT! Zone in Orlando, Florida

TNA KNOCKOUTS MATCH: Angelina Love pins champion Tara Varon with a Roll-Up {PSYCHOLOGY: shenanigans, she had her foot on the ropes!}; after the match, when it's clear that Slick Johnson won't reverse the decision, Tara drops him with a rather stiff kick, as Mi Pi Sexy scamper backstage, leaving Poison the Tarantula to play with Johnson

backstage, Jeremy Borash bothers Heavyweight champion Kurt Angle, who's been shooting his mouth off for the past month, because he has the ability to back it up, with his Main Event Mafia posse backing him up; after warning the TNA Fans that his bout with Executive Shareholder Mick Foley's not gonna be a classic wrestling match, the Olympic Hero turns to his M~E~M followers & tells them that, if they don't get clean wins in their respective matches, he's gonna walk right out into the iMPACT! Zone & fire them on the spot. . .  now let's see how their new lackey "Blueprint" Matt Morgan does in the following match, where he beats Chris Daniels with a 'Hellevator' Jackhammering Urinagi Slam {PSYCHOLOGY: & so the M~E~M's domination. . .  begins?}

backstage, Jeremy Borash bothers Doctor Stevie & Daffney, the former inviting JB to open up his mind for a minute, sometimes you have to go beyond the pain, as he'll be doing tonight when he goes against his friend Abyss, who may have size on his side, but Stevie owns him mind, body & soul, so tonight the fans will find out who the master is in the following NO DISQUALIFICATION MATCH: the Monster defeats Stevie with a Smoking Tazer to the Heart {PSYCHOLOGY: wait, let me read that again. . . !}

backstage, Executive Shareholder Mick Foley tells TNA Tag Team champions Beer Money Incorporated & Legends champion "Phenomenal" AJ Styles, telling them that they shouldn't let the Main Event Mafia get in their heads, they're gonna try to divide & conquer; let's hold onto these championships, so that they don't have to rely on the Hardcore Legend to keep ahead of the M~E~M, now let's go out there & win 1 for the Gipper! . . .

IWGP TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: champions Team 3D (Brother Ray & Brother Devon) versus the British Invasion (Brutus Magnus & Doug Williams); Ray pins Williams with a '3D' Double-Team Elevated Cutter Combination {PSYCHOLOGY: I didn't even know that they were defending the belts, until the ring announcer proclaimed that Team 3D were still the champs!}; after the match, Sheik Abdul Bashir & Kiyoshi Tanahashi storm the ring to beat down Team 3D. . .  until Brothers Ray & Devon realize that those 2 are smaller than them & put Bashir through a table

backstage, Lauren Thompson bothers Referee Slick Johnson, who feels terrible about costing Tara Varon the Knockouts title, he clearly didn't see her foot on the ropes, but the ref's word's final, though he's gonna head to Management Representative Jim Cornette's office to demand that she get her rematch @ the appropriate time

TNA KNOCKOUTS GRUDGE MATCH: Jenna Morasca beats Sharmell with a Dirty Stripper Dance Pinfall {PSYCHOLOGY: sorry, I was asleep. . . what?}; after the match, Jenna, for some ungodly reason, gets all up in the grill of Awesome Kong, who then splats her with a Big Splash

backstage, Jeremy Borash bothers Kevin Nash, who commends Heavyweight champion Kurt Angle for rallying the Main Event Mafia, especially after winning an Olympic gold medal with a broken neck. . .  so who cares if Executive Shareholder Mick Foley & his mullet "inspired" the TNA troops, he's gonna retire if Big Sexy doesn't win following TNA LEGENDS TITLE MATCH: Nash defeats champion "Phenomenal" AJ Styles with a 'Jackknife' Dangerous Powerbomb {PSYCHOLOGY: lighting a fire under the M~E~M, indeed!}

backstage, Lauren Thompson bothers Referee Slick Johnson & Madison Raine, who emerge from the. . .  Knockouts locker room shower. . . ?

TNA TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: champions Beer Money Incorporated (Robert Roode & "Cowboy" James Storm) versus Their Brothers' Keepers (Scott Steiner & Booker TNA); Freakzilla pins Roode with a 'Small Package' Cradling Pinfall {PSYCHOLOGY: looking good for the Mafia so far, ain't it?!}; after the match, Jeremy Borash bothers the Last King of BookahLand, who says they said they were gonna do it, it's on like a neckbone. . .  as for Big Poppa Pump, he actually sounds sorta not-insane, as he proclaims that they're now the greatest Tag Team of all time

backstage, Lauren Thompson bothers Samoa Joe, who assures her that his advisor's here & ready for war, the man who brought out the Nation of Violence & tonight it's Showtime, as tonight's gonna be Sting's final scene; TNA GRUDGE MATCH: the Samoan Submission Machine makes Sting Submit with a 'Kakina Clutch' Rear Naked Choke {PSYCHOLOGY: after Taz ambles down to ringside to give Joe inspiration}

a video package plays, showing MMA star Bobby Lashley talking about officially joining TNA

backstage, Jeremy Borash bothers Executive Shareholder Mick Foley, who usually can find something to use against somebody by reaching deep into his offensive reservoir, but against somebody like Heavyweight champion Kurt Angle make it hard. . .  although, after the last pay-per-view, the Hardcore Legend saw the Olympic Hero being worked on by a trainer, who told him that his neck injury from all those years ago never completely healed, but barring any unforeseeable circumstances, he should be okay; well, welcome to your unforeseeable circumstance, as Mickles declares that in order for Angle to beat him, he's gonna have to beat him {um. . . !} in the following MAIN EVENT, TNA HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: champion Kurt Angle makes Executive Shareholder Mick Foley Submit with an 'Angle Lock' Grapevining Ankle Lock {PSYCHOLOGY: great, now Angle doesn't have to fire himself! . . .}; after the match, the rest of the Main Event Mafia saunter down to the ring to congratulate their godfather on his win, with everybody smacking title belts against each other like they're penises in a very gross porno. . .

Executive Shareholder Mick Foley hobbles to the 6-sided ring, where he points out that he doesn't have the Heavyweight title over his shoulder & he knows that the great TNA fans don't want him to be naked in front of them, so this Sunday @ Victory Road, he's gonna do whatever it takes to get that title back over his shoulder; but there's so much more @ stake than just a piece of hardware, as where the title goes, there goes Total NonStop Action Wrestling & if Kurt Angle manages to retain the belt, the company goes 1 way. . .  & if the Hardcore Legend regains his title this Sunday, it'll go in a totally different direction; it's not normally the purview of the challenger to ask favours of the champion, but Mickles feels like he can be the exception to the rule, as he proposes that the Olympic Hero come out to face Foley man-to-man, no Main Event Mafia in tow; surprisingly enough, Angle acquiesces, sauntering down to the 6-sided ring, where Mick's being honest when he says that, a few days after losing his title, the M~E~M all made fun of the New York Times Best-Selling Author for shedding a tear or 2. . .  that hurt, he's an emotional guy like Kurt & he wears his heart on his sleeve, he loved being the Heavyweight champion; then last Thursday on iMPACT! the Mafia tied him up in barbed wire, so that, had they been inclined, the entire group could've torn him to shreds, but they chose not to, because they were sending him a message, therefore the Executive Shareholder let it slide. . .  but then, in the Main Event, when Angle had Foley in the Ankle Lock, the Special Guest Referee, "Showtime" Eric Young clearly made the wrong call when the Hardcore Legend supposedly submitted, when in actuality he was saying that he wasn't gonna give up; he recalls the day clearly, back in Japan, with Dory Funk Junior putting him in a Stepover Toehold, causing Cactus Jack to submit, he promised after that night, that he'd never submit again. . . so @ Victory Road, if Angle can beat Mickles, then go ahead, because he knows he's looking into the eyes of quite possibly the best wrestler of all time when the Executive Shareholder ganders @ the peepers of the Heavyweight champion & in order to defeat him, Foley knows that he'll have to be better than he's ever been & even then, Foley's still not 100% sure that he's gonna be able to succeed. . .  he's gonna have to channel the Little Engine that Could, he thinks he can, he thinks he can. . .  but sometimes, Mick just doesn't know; if Angle's thinking about Foley tappin', it just won't happen; since Kurt had the respect to come out here & meet Mick face-to-face, here's the 2nd favour. . .  no Mafia, all he's asking for @ Victory Road, that they do it man-to-man, 1-on-1; well, the Olympic Hero runs with the M~E~M because they all share similar beliefs, seemingly with the Hardcore Legend as well. . .  but unlike Foley, the Mafia likewise share a lack of sympathy for others; this is a man's game, not a boy's game & the Executive Shareholder's right, he has to do whatever he has to, to get ahead in this business ~ why does Mickles think that the M~E~M get so upset with the punks in the locker room, they're spoon-fed, they're spoiled, they're pain more than they're worth, they can't work tonight because they got a blister last night; Foley's been injured before, he's worked through pain, but these young bucks are changing the wrestling industry irreparably & putting a stop to that's what the Mafia's all about; it's not just about the money, they're also trying to help TNA Founder Jeff Jarrett & the Executive Shareholder; Sting Icons to the ring, where he's incredulous about the claim that the Olympic Hero's doing this all for TNA, it's the same buncha bull that Angle fed to him when they 1st went to recruit him ~ lying, money, cheating to win, that's what the real Main Event Mafia's all about; there's a lot that's gonna be resolved after Victory Road this Sunday, we're gonna see who has the power to run Total NonStop Action Wrestling, as the Stinger has his own agenda for Samoa Joe & his handler, they're gonna be taken up 1 side & down the other of the iMPACT! Zone; well, Sunday's Sunday, because Sting has a tremendous favour of the Hardcore Legend, as he wants Heavyweight champion Kurt Angle 1 more time in that 6-sided ring; just before Foley answers, the Olympic Hero accepts for him, with 1 small tweak. . .  it'll be a 6 Sides of Steel match; meanwhile, backstage, Samoa Joe's seen beating the bejeezus out of the Amazing Red, brawling him all the way down to the 6-sided ring, where Red beats Joe via Disqualification After the Samoan Submission Machine Pushes Referee Rudy Charles {PSYCHOLOGY: & then he got fired!}; after the match, TNA Security storm the ring, sending Samoa Joe ambling backstage, his anger @ least temporarily sated

X Division champion Suicide defeats IWGP Junior Tag Team co-champion Chris Sabin with a 'Suicide Solution' Stump Puller Suplex in This Non-Title Match {PSYCHOLOGY: they dissected Suicide's entrance theme. . . ?}; after the match, IWGP Junior Tag Team co-champion Alex Shelley leaps into the ring, holding the X Division champion while his partner ascends the top rope & connects with a Guillotine Legdrop; out storms Homicide, who clears the ring of the usurpers. . .  then picks up the X Division title, opting to cash in his X Division "Feast-or-Fired" X Division #1 Contendership briefcase in the following "FEAST OR FIRED" X DIVISION TITLE MATCH: Homicide pins champion Suicide with a 'Gringo Killer' Double Underhook Back-To-Back Piledriver {PSYCHOLOGY: holy smokes!}

TNA KNOCKOUTS MATCH: "Sarita" Sarah Stock beats "Future Legend" Alissa Flash with a Victory Roll {PSYCHOLOGY: as it turns out, both Knockouts were making their iMPACT! debut & both women put off good performances}; after the match, Sarita extends her hand in respect, only to get a ScoopSlam Piledriver for her troubles

SINGLE-ELIMINATION, 6-MAN TAG TEAM MATCH: Phenomenal Incorporated (Legends champion "Phenomenal" AJ Styles & TNA Tag Team champions Beer Money Incorporated {Robert Roode & "Cowboy" James Storm}) versus WCW, Represent! (Kevin Nash & Their Brothers' Keepers {Booker TNA & Scott Steiner}); Nash defeats Styles with a 'Jackknife' Dangerous Powerbomb, Steiner pins Storm with a 'Novocain' Reverse Space Tornado Ogawa, Roode beats Nash with a Low Blow & the Last King of BookahLand defeats Robert with a Jumping Side Kick {PSYCHOLOGY: a good wear-down match for the 6 men involved in 2 separate matches @ Victory Road this Sunday!}; after the match, Jenna Morasca & Sharmell falls fighting, while their men watch for a few minutes. . .  then separate them; TNA Founder Jeff Jarrett joins Mike Tenay & Don West @ ringside for special guest commentary for the following MAIN EVENT, 6 SIDES OF STEEL MATCH: Sting versus Heavyweight champion Kurt Angle Goes to a No Contest When Members of the Main Event Mafia Get Into the Cage to Interfere, in This Non-Title Match {PSYCHOLOGY: Taz's TNA theme sounds kinda sucky, actually!}; after the match, TNA Founder Jeff Jarrett & Executive Shareholder Mick Foley respectively storm & hobble to the ring, where they succinctly get beaten down by Scott Steiner, Kevin Nash & Booker TNA

HEADLINE NEWS: Brock! . . . LESNAR!!!
- Several WWE & TNA wrestlers on Twitter were updating their accounts, following the Brock Lesnar victory over Frank Mir Saturday @ UFC 100. Frank Mir was very negative towards pro wrestlers during the Countdown show & even mocked Lesnar for his WWE past. "Mir, what do you think of Pro Wrestlers now, after getting your ass handed to you & getting beat in a completely 1-sided fight!" said Gregory Helms. Matt Hardy was also happy about Brock's performance. "Yeah Brock! Reppin' the toughness of 'WWE' guys by making Mir & the non-believers eat their words! We popped HUGE 4 your post fight promo!" Fellow MMA star Bobby Lashley was in attendance for the show. "WWE star Brock Lesnar won by brutal ground & pound!" he wrote on his Twitter. "Glad to see Brock's still champ. Best promo ever," added Shannon Moore. TNA's Jeremy Borash also left a comment. "Brock's a strong heel. Take it from yours truly. . .  Minnesotans are tough. Might try some MMA. I could destroy that nerdy Bruce Buffer." Former Smackdown commentator Taz, who came up with the "Well, here comes the pain" phrase, congratulated Brock on his Facebook page. "I know that Brock's a driven athlete with an awesome work ethic. . . therefore I'm not surprised @ his success in UFC!"

- Paul Heyman has posted a new column @ the UK Sun website ~ http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/ufc/2535302/Lesnars-truly-one-of-a-kind.html ~  with his thoughts about Lesnar's dominating win over Frank Mimr @ this weekend's UFC 100 Pay-Per-View. "I'm actually surprised @ how many wrestlers think Brock's domination of Mir somehow makes pro wrestling more legitimate. It clearly doesn't. Brock's victory in the Octagon's as much a vindication for pro wrestling or WWE, as WWE Hall of Famer Jesse "the Body" Ventura becoming governor of Minnesota's a sign that wrestlers should run for political office. 1 has nothing to do with the other. . . It doesn't mean wrestlers are tough, but it doesn't mean they're not, either ~ it means Brock's tough. Wrestlers are to be admired for the risks they take & the extraordinary toll they exact on their bodies, in order to entertain the audience. I have nothing but the most extreme admiration for the sacrifices they make. But Brock just happens to be a UFC champion who was a pro wrestler, not a typical pro wrestler who decided to teach the MMA world how tough pro wrestlers are."

- & as if that wasn't enough, WWE will be working with 7-11 convenience stores to promote SummerSlam, making it clear that they're going all out to make this year's pay-per-view a major event.

- Former ECWWE Heavyweight champion Bobby Lashley announced on ESPN radio Wednesday night, that he has finally officially signed with Total NonStop Action Wrestling. Lashley stated that he'd be @ this Sunday’s Victory Road pay-per-view. Bobby noted that he'll also be continuing his MMA career, but always felt bad about the abrupt way he left wrestling & says that TNA’s schedule will give him the best of both worlds. This is a surprising development, as word going around Las Vegas over the weekend, was that Lashley told people he wasn't going to sign with TNA.

- The reason RAW's John Cena left last week's tour of Australia early, missing shows he was advertised to appear on, was because he was getting ready for his wedding. The Doctor of Thuganomics married high school sweetheart Elizabeth Huberdeau, 29, in a ceremony over the weekend in Boston, that his father officiated over. The Chain Gang Commander'd been engaged to her since 2007 & as it turns out, his sweetheart wasn't hindered @ all by the fact that she couldn't see him.

- In a dark match held prior to Raw, Sheamus defeated Drew McIntrye.

- WWE has re-signed the wrestler formerly known as Eugene, Nick Dinsmore. For those wondering, he's indeed being brought back to the main roster as Eugene, as they want him to help mentor some of the younger wrestlers, not to mention add more depth to the roster. Well, the roster must be pretty damned shallow, then! . . .  Anywho, prior to signing on the dotted line, World Wrestling Entertainment had Dinsmore undergo an extensive drug test, to prove he's clean, including providing a hair sample. WWE previously released Nick on September 1st, 2007 as a result of issues with painkillers. A SmackDown taping took place that day, with him being notified of his release following a company meeting & promptly being escorted out of the arena by security.

- In a related story, officials also offered Rob Conway a contract to return to the company, also to help mentor some of the younger wrestlers & add some depth to the roster, but he turned it down. While Conway still wrestles on the indy scene, he has another job now & didn't want to give it up. Aww, SNAP!

I really don't know the status of either of those guys are, but I would welcome Kennedy, Anderson. . . whatever he calls himself. I'd welcome Taz to TNA, it's a growing company, the new thing on the block. A lot of time people want to check out the new flavour & see what this new thing's all about." - Chris Daniels has donated 1 of his ring robes to auction @ http://www.WrestlersRescue.org

- Referee Mark "Slick" Johnson, who's frequently been a source a contention among some in the company, has a raised a few eyebrows in recent weeks, over the number of house shows he's worked. In fact, there was some eye rolling over the company's recent decision to part ways with Shane Sewell, who was widely regarded as a better official than Johnson. Internally, the feeling's that he wouldn't be getting so many bookings, if he wasn't a close friend of TNA Founder Jeff Jarrett, much less a job. Yeah & certain tubby blond guys wouldn't become champion of a certain Newfoundland federation if he wasn't co-owner.

- In other 6-sided zebra news, as reported last week, TNA fired referee Rudy Charles (real name Dan Engler) in a cost-cutting measure. TNA's decision to let him go shocked a number of people, because he was popular with management & had been with the company from the start, not to mention that he performed so many tasks for the company. However, the feeling's that TNA will simply hire a local referee to replace him & that others in the office will pick up the jobs he was doing. . . although it's been noted they'll have to be trained to run the errands he did. Besides being a referee & being involved in the timing of the shows, he also sat in on creative meetings. It was also said that TNA could save on transportation costs, by using a referee who lived near Orlando.

- In other nepotism accusation news, there have been a few questions raised concerning "showtime" Eric Young's role in TNA. Young, who's quite close with JJ, was moved into a program with the TNA founder a few weeks ago. Shortly thereafter, people started asking about Eric & the feeling's that the short-term program was booked to justify his position with the company.

- TNA's posted the latest edition of "Spin Cycle" on-line, with the theme being "TNA's most unusual performers." This week's panel consists of Knockouts champion Tara Varon, Abyss, Cody Deaner & "The Sock."

- "'Wrestling Then & Now: The Movie' was a fantastic documentary & the 1st of its kind coming from & focusing on the granddaddy of nostalgic monthly publications. Evan Ginzburg has worked hard for well over 20 years, involving all the many colourful characters from pro wrestling, as well as the arts like jazz, new world beat & most forms of music. Killer Kowalski, the late Tiger Khan & so many more have been a part of this project & are now further immortalized on film. It's a wonderful piece of history & art & I can't wait to re-watch it all over again!" Mike Lano, radio host & wrestling writer/photographer/historian, 1966-Present.  & that's just 1 of the many shining reviews of "Wrestling Then & Now: the Movie", a documentary from noted underground film director Dwayne Walker & the Associate Producer of "The Wrestler", Evan
Ginzburg, who talks to the greats of the sport in a film that has something for everybody.  If you're a fan of "old school" ~ who better than the late, great Killer Kowalski, Nikolai Volkoff & Don "Doctor Death" Arnold to show you the ropes, as they talk about not only wrestling, but their philosophies on life & the extraordinary experiences they've had travelling the world?  & if you're a fan of today's wrestling, see a young, outspoken Homicide, hardcore icon Lowlife Louis Ramos & indie stars from coast to coast, like The Mambo King, talk about all aspects of the sport: injuries, "the road", the women's division, overzealous fans, the ever-present "paying dues" & much, much more.  Plus 1 of the casualties of the wrestling game, Tiger Khan, talks about the path he was on ~ filmed just a few years before his untimely passing @ age 33.  It's a film that takes you deep inside the pro wrestling world & particularly the real East Coast indie scene.  For you fans of women's wrestling, you don't want to miss the clips of ultra stiff body builder, Kasie Kavanaugh, in her ring debut with former WWE worker Bryan Walsh. This is something truly different.  For a taste of the movie, check out a preview @ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oZRl0NLR5q0

July 13, 2009 - Monday
Granted, Total NonStop Action Wrestling hasn't had nearly as many pay-per-view events as World Wrestling Entertainment's had {view my memories of some of them @ http://fans.wwe.com/ringrust}, there were a few great moments to talk about!

SURPRISES:  while @ times, TNA had the ability to fail-to-excite us with their WCW-esque swerves {Al Snow?!}, they also have had a handful of genuinely surprising moments.  Seeing Scott Hall & the Insane Clown Posse @ ringside @ 2008's Turning Point, all dressed in Juggalo Championsh!t Wrestling t-shirts, was enough to make myself & the other fans tuning in via a website that allows us to watch pay-per-view events for free {I don't have the option of watching it otherwise, as neither are there any local fans ~ apparently ~ who get the events here locally, nor are there any bars who likewise do so} wonder it there was either gonna be a run-in during the Samoa Joe match {since he'd gone "simian-excrement" on Hall the year before, for no-showing an event} or would otherwise make themselves major nuisances.  As it turned out, neither happened, as they just watched the show, then sorta. . .  disappeared. . .

GUEST STARS:  aside from supposed-ÜberStar Danny Bonaduce. . .   sorry, a little distracted by massive amounts of suckitude there. . .  anywho, TNA's managed to delve into the depths of Hollywood flash, much like WWE has, to "help" bolster ratings.  I, personally, don't care which celebrity's in attendance, they're not gonna be the reason I'm tuning in!  But back to my point. . .   like all wrestling, even Total NonStop Action's prone to some star worship, as anybody from NASCAR drivers, to MMA fighters & commentators, to country singers, to D-List celebrities, have all been there to "help" TNA in any way possible.  But as for a positive experience?  Well, whenever 1 of those segments ended, maybe. . . !

SOLID WRESTLING ACTION:  yeah, now we're talkin'! . . .  TNA's never disappointed with its great wrestling ~ with some notable exceptions, naturally.  But I won't harp on those too much, instead choosing to focus on some of the classic matches & moments I've seen.  Angelina Love winning the Knockouts championship. . .  Kurt Angle doing a Somersault onto Abyss. . .  the King of the Mountain. . .  almost every single moment of almost every single X Division match. . .  Team 3D unofficially unifying the TNA & IWGP Tag Team titles. . .  GAWD I could just go on & on!

This is, naturally, all my personal opinion & anybody of you can feel free to disagree to your heart's content.  If you have an alternate idea, you know where to find me every Friday afternoon from 1-3pm Newfoundland Time {or 11:30am-1:30pm EST} just give CHMR a call {the number's on http://www.chmr.ca}, or you can email me {ring-rust@hotmail.com} & pass along your own ideas, or just let me know if you think I'm full of shiite, as usual.  What's your favourite TNA pay-per-view memory?

P.S.: the source of the title of this article, comes from 1 of the 1st TNA events I'd seen, over @ a friend's house, where a bunch of us were gathering, putting in our $5 & enjoying a good show.  I believe, if I'm not mistaken, this was the event that froze on a close-up on Sonjay Dutt, but that's neither here nor there, as the "Guest Commentary" as provided by all of us in attendance, including that classic line.
