Hi Everyone:
Below is a fun interactive blog for us all. The use of words is vital to myself when creating lyrics.
Words make war and peace, love and hate. Everything surrounding us is connected with the written word.
Below are my five words. After considering my five words; please list your five words.
Have fun!
Love Rob
====
Absorb: All the choices and decsions I make come from my absorbing
Chill: I have to do it. Clear my mind; afterwards I feel re-energised
Responsibility: You have it whether you know it. I use this virtue to do the best with my abilities
Fear: I possess less when I seek and search the source of fear through knowledge
Music: It's what I live for and what makes the world join together as one

Happy new year and best wishes to each of you for a rewarding 2007.
I have had a very busy December '06 speaking to global media regarding all new Halford and Fight releases and this year's new Priest release. It was a lot of fun, and a great opportunity to catch up with our media friends and supporters.
On a different note, I will be twenty-one again this January 6, 2007. Twenty-one years clean and sober. I don't talk about it much, but this blog gives me an opportunity to share the good moment. Most people can handle using in moderation, but I still take each day as it comes and I avoid the temptations.
I recall my first show without a drink under my belt; it was Albuquerque, NM 1986 at the start of the Turbo tour. I went on-stage in a nervous state, but as soon as I started singing something happened inside – personally I felt elevated and elated. My voice came from a new place, and it has since that moment.
On a creative level I am more clear on my musical and business objectives, but more importantly everything else in my life is more focused and spiritually guided. I know there are some of you on the same path and I encourage you to stay the course. For some that are in the struggle I was in twenty-one years ago; I hope you find the peace that is there for you.
Halford is debuting its new music video 'Forgotten Generation' this month, and I am visiting with more journalists through January and February, as well as completing my work on the upcoming Priest release. I hope you all enjoy the new music and video releases, and thank you for the support you provide me and the members of Halford, Priest and Fight. Speak with you in February.
Love
Rob

Hi Everyone:
Welcome to The Metal God's Montly Blog.
Let's start with simple goings on... I have returned from the U.K. to the U.S., for a bit of a break from the Priest Nostradamus sessions. Actually I am fine tuning lyrics; and speaking with journalists around the world on the new Fight and Halford releases.
I flew into Phoenix recently and spent a couple days there getting over the long flight from London, and the evil jet lag i suffer from.
Phoenix is perfect this time of year with the heat having eased off... At night the city sparkles and inspires.
The Arizona state fair is going on right now... It's been years since I enjoyed the event, so this past week I returned, and it was packed with all kinds of people from every walk of life - having a good time as I did.
Saw the games barkers, ate some great food (bbq & indian bread) and enjoyed many rides.
While eating, on my left was a Navajo hoop ceremony, and on my right was a raucous pie eating contest... Paid a buck to see the world's strangest 'thing,' and enjoyed speaking with the caretakers of the largest boa constrictor.
Next day I decided to head over to San Diego. I love the 6 hour drive across the desert... I have made that drive more times than I can recall, and it is a journey I look forward to.
As the city of Phoenix falls away in the rear-view mirror, and the vast desert opens up along roads that go on forver; it seems a million miles from my small home town... Mountains, cactus, big-blue skies provide wonder and comfort.
I make two stops along the way... Gila Bend is a place that for now is in something of a time warp; not the typical western town you might expect... My second stop is in the middle of nowhere: Dateland, Ca... Yep, one stop sign, a gas station to quench the car, and the most incredible dateshakes you will ever experience... From there its over and up the hills to four thousand feet which seperate the desert heat from the cooler climates of California.
Foot down I zoom by The Golden Acorn Casino -.. this time, arriving into beautiful San Diego... Ocean breezes and perfect beaches... I've got just enough time to get in the Halloween mood; which will lead to darker blogging next time!..TMG
