The Board of Trustees and The 140th Anniversary Homecoming Committee of The New York Foundling, along with Caroline Kennedy Honorary Legacy Chair, are pleased to invite members of our Foundling Family to a very special Homecoming October 9 – 11, 2009 New York City. We (at the Agency) are welcoming back all those who share a history with The Foundling Adoptees, Former Foster Children and those who cared for them, Orphan Train Riders and their Families, Health Care Professionals who received training, divided by generations and scattered across the country, to come together and celebrate The Foundling’s 140th year of Saving Children, Preserving Families and Building Communities. Remembering Michael… I remember when “ABC” was easy as 123. When “I Found That Girl”. Yes, my “Mama’s Pearl ”. So I thought! Shortly thereafter, advising that same girl to “Stop The Love you Save” for it may be your own. “I Don’t Know Why I Love You” I recall professing to her on bended knees. Maybe it was that “My Forever Came Today” when she walked into my life. Truth be told, I even sang out “I’ll Be There”, “I Want You Back” and that I am “A Fool For You”. Thought I was her “Sugar Daddy”, then I thought “Maybe Tomorrow” she’ll come back to my arms. Did she listen? Only the Heart be told. Well, “She’s Out Of My Life” But hey, remember that was back in grade school. Can anyone relate? Yes I remember when many a childhood interests seemed to bare little consequence or gain in the grand scheme of things. Simplicity was the norm of the day. Just a child lost in the games of play. Guess one can “Never Say Goodbye” through the eyes of a looking glass. Thanks Michael! Despite the shortcomings, life has a bit more to be taken from and appreciated because of your contributions. Light a torch, “Heal The World”. For this, we owe you a debt of gratitude. We can only hope it translate in making this a better place for you and for me!… God Bless!

COMING SOON!... Good day everyone! First off, those of us at the Literary Wall of Reflection (Rita, Maria and I) would like to thank you all for visiting our site. It speaks volumes when the benefits of sharing translate into an uplifting for all brethren alike. Needless to say, it brings us great joy to be able to touch such a solemn vein. It’s within that vein; we proudly continue to echo a reflective ambiance thereof with selections of poetic gesture from our P.O.P.E. (Palette of Poetic Expression) Gallery. This latest installment at our site is the birth of a new forum indicative of some of the material we’d like to share with you in future presentations. Here’s a quick summary of this upcoming exhibition. The Selected works of poetry were graciously contributed and written by; Rita Villa Rosado (RVR), Ray Velez, Maria Agosto and I. Nearly all background images used for these pieces (creatively touched up in Photoshop) are of photos I took over the course of about 5 years. The remaining backdrop images I created for visual complimentary affect. If you’d like to share some of your work as well, we certainly encourage you to do so throughout. My grandaughter and her friends made the A B Honor Roll and we attended the ceremony on April 29th. They play hard on the team and study hard as well! Congratulations...GO TIGERS!
