I'm working on a new song called Partial Unreality. It's only about 15% finished, but I think you can hear the essence and see where this is going. I hope you enjoy the creative process.

Working on taking my skills to the next level. After 19 years of electronic music audio production it's time for the next level. We'll see what I can come up with. =)

This is a special "chill" version of the song that basically involved removing the 4/4 drums. You can actually appreciate and hear some of the other instruments a bit more without trying to force this track into a dancefloor motif.

I have some other versions that have sick basslines like the kind you hear in Cities of Dust from 2-3 years ago, but I never released them. I might just do that to get my mind thinking music again before diving into new songs. Gotta dust off the "gear"

About a month ago my personal MySpace account was deleted. I added it again and noticed that none of my close friends were really using MySpace anymore. They all seem to be on Facebook. So, I decided to cancel my personal account on here. I will continue to use the Radianation account to promote my music and maintain contact with friends on MySpace, but I am using Facebook for most of my personal communication. Oh well, I guess that's how the trends go. I remember doing the same with Friendster years ago. I wonder how things will pan out for MySpace?

In other news, I've added 128bit streaming MP3's of the entire Karmony album on my personal site. I'm also linking up a zip file that lets you download the album for free. =)

Head on over to http://www.radianation.com and check it out. I want you to ENJOY the music.

Current mood:  tired
My harddrive crashed with all of my music on it. I am working on recovering it, but the realization that I don't have access to anything I've worked on since Karmony is pretty disheartening. It's actually a kick in the pants to get to work on something creative to keep from going insane due to extra long work hours lately.

I finally bought a raid setup. 3ware 9650SE controller card and 4 x 1 terabyte WD drives. So, I'm running a raid 5 with a total of 3 terabytes of usable storage. The drive is setup as a GPT in vista 64bit ultimate (running on my 300gb velociraptor drive). Acronis is doing my backups now. No more sleeping on the backup job.

Anyways, I hope to recover the data this week and get back to work on a new song or two. I actually have around 10-11 songs written since Karmony, but none of them have been polished and they kind of go all over the place genre-wise so it's not enough for a cohesive album.

After an insanely long delay, I finally published the Variable 04 album. It's an online, digital-only release, and it's still fresh! The Variable compilation is essentially what kicked off the Louipimps Record label as an official label as opposed to just a means of releasing my own music. It's perhaps somewhat ironic that the delay in releasing this album was none other than my own music. The Radianation track on this album was released as-is because I simply couldn't hold things up any longer to get the track to a state where I was satisfied with it...

After a fairly nasty harddrive crash about a year ago, I was never quite able to get the sounds back to the way they originally unfolded on Dark Moon. As a result, I spent months chasing down sounds and trying to recreate a studio accident, but it wasn't possible. Anyways, it sounds fine I guess, but I'm not satisfied.

This was also an opportunity to release a down-tempo Radianation track that feels like it goes well with this album in general. Some of the things I'm working on for the next Radianation release wouldn't match up with Dark Moon, so it had to get out there one way or another.

A little back history on Variable. The first Variable album was released in February of 1999. Variable 02 was the most popular due to a large CD release party where we distributed nearly 1,100 CDs at the door. Variable 03 was probably the most polished album, but it was a tough one because we lost a lot of money on the CD release party due to conflicting events on the same night, a last minute shift of venues, and several other small issues. The album was a success online, but the release party soured the mood.

For this reason, it was many years before Louipimps bothered promoting another event, and even longer until Variable 04 was assembled. Well, it's out. Go check it out.

You can get it on iTunes, Amazon, Emusic, Rhapsody, and many others. Your support is greatly appreciated.

It was brought to my attention first via a text message from my brother, and then in more detail by Casey on Saturday night that sometime on Friday WFPK not only played our music on the air, but they also hyped it up a bit prior to playing it (which was really cool). I have an idea of who the DJ might have been, but I don't know for sure so I will just say THANK YOU WFPK. I appreciate it so much.

Thanks to those of you that came to see us live this past Saturday. I felt as though the show went really well and I'm really glad to be back in that sense. Playing music live is inspirational to the creative process, and it's a great way to gauge progress.

I think the overall reaction to the new material was fantastic, and while I wish I could have performed the song live exactly the way I wanted it to sound, I still think it was great (especially considering that it was my first time singing live).

Anyways, this is only a taste of things to come. I wrote two new songs last week and can't wait to finish them off. Stay tuned!

I just wanted to say that I appreciate the comments and positive feedback on my music. It's nice to get comments that actually say something.

I really don't mind getting comments (spam) asking to support other artsits or events, because I believe that all of us musicians are using myspace in a similar fashion.

However, if I don't post your comment it's probably because the HTML was poorly formatted or the image you're trying to share is simply too large to display on my page without "breaking" it. If this is the case, please feel free to repost with these issues corrected. =)

If you like the music, please say so. I feel so detached from the music lovers at times that it really makes a difference to get feedback. Thank you to those of you that do this (privately and publicly).

It looks like we're doing another show... It's been a year since we've performed, and now we have a new vocalist filling in since Annie Gibson has officially left the band. I'm looking forward to a good time, but we have quite a bit of rehearsing to do in the meantime.

Expect 1 or 2 new songs and a few very organic versions of songs from Karmony.
